This is a very classy and elegant scent, but to me smells more dated and "mature" than the average person these days might be into. A good fit for someone wearing it today might be a nice suit or otherwise dressed up outfit, as it would go better with that vibe.

Opens with a fresh and zesty burst of citrus. I pick up on lemon, neroli, and orange. As the scent settles, it reveals a warm and spicy cardamom, basil, and ginger. The base is a combination of oakmoss, vetiver, and cedarwood, which gives the fragrance its signature woody and masculine scent. It lasts about 6 hours and sillage is moderate, can be a great signature or everyday scent as its not too polarizing.

Love the simple and classy bottle design, which fits neatly in my work bag. Better projection than the original ETD, this one has more depth and spice in the drydown. This concentrée version has now been discontinued and replaced with an EDP format which is way better, as its smoother and easier to wear. I would definitely purchase the EDP in future.

As a young person, you shouldn’t wear this person. It is a nice scent, but it just has that old man vibe. Pretty good gift for a grandpa or father. Medium projection, 6 hour longevity

I have been wearing Chanel pour Monsieur for several years now and this " eau de Parfum " version smells identical to the long bottle Green " eau de Toilette " version but doesn't last as long and you have to keep reapplying it after about 3 hours.Other than that the edP and edT smell exactly alike, and they leave the Concentree version in the dust! My favorite fragrance and I absolutely LOVE all the compliments I get from it, it is my most-complimented fragrance and everybody always asks where they can buy a bottle.I hope Chanel never reformulates it and definitely never stops making it cos it is a REAL winner and a gem among so many fragrances out there, both great and mediocre.
Before retiring, Jacques Polge created his final work for Chanel, Pour Monsieur Eau de Parfum. This is very much a gentleman's perfume, is friendly and cheerful with hours of creamy, woody richness in the likeness of oakmoss and sandalwood, accented with a lightly powdered lavender, vetiver, and citrus.Longevity is 8 to 12 hours and projection is closer to the skin than the previous Eau de Toilette Concentree version, making this a much more up close and personal fragrance. Wearing this fragrance at the office, for romantic encounters or formal use in cooler weather is suggested.Highly recommended.5/5 Stars

As a newly anointed "frag" head I have discover that my fragrance preferences lean towards fougeres and chypres and Chanel Pour Monsieur ticks all the boxes for my ideal chypre! The opening is a blast of citrus that is excellent. Not screeching or a household cleaner accord but fresh, tart, and clean. as the citrus settlles the nutmeg appears. Subtle, warm and mildly spicy aka very well done! Finally the woody notes and oak moss (yes, the real deal!) appear offering that delightful note that makes me adore the chypres. This one does wear close but I get 8 hours out of it and project is good enough that when I walked into my office managers office she stated " That one! Keep wearing that one!" High praise I assure you! Bravo Monsieur Polge! This is my all time favourite, not always easy to get hold of, though. I think it's the only male fragrance that Coco Chanel created.
