This is a great product. It smells wonderful and unique. I bought this item for my wife and she appreciates it and wears it. I was very concerned about purchasing this item through the mail or online. My biggest fear is all the counterfeit products out there. This is why I choose to go through Macy’s online. Macy’s is a reputable seller of non-counterfeit items. You get what you pay for. My shopping experience online was easy and delivery was timely.

I suspect that the perfume I ordered is counterfeit. It has been said any perfume coming out of France has a good chance not to be real.First, the color. It doesn't seem right, it's very light as if it's supposed to be a toilette, but it's not supposed to be. The scent gives the impression of being a true Chanel No. 5, but more of a hint of it, not a true scent. The real test is it has no staying power. It lasts only minutes instead of hours. I'm very disappointed and will not buy again.

I used Chanel No. 5 in the late sixties and in the seventies. I have some of the perfume left and it in no way smells like the rebooted version. Why perfume companies insist on naming their inferior products after the shining star classic originals is a shame. HOWEVER, I do like this scent and I do wear it. It is above and beyond the other scents of today which are made cheaply and all smell alike..like fly spray. This version doesn't last like the original. One little bit behind the ears or on the wrist would last all day long. With this version you have to reapply. A shame really.
It stinks! I had bought cologne on sale previously and had to throw it out. It was so brackish and bad smelling. Thought the perfume would be different, but first spray was brackish and then the follow up scent gross. I always buy my perfume from Macy's and have never had any problems. Subsequent online research that I wish I had done sooner showed that Chanel changed formula in 2014 approximately. EU regulations. UGH!! I am so sad. This was a special treat as I had not bought this, my favorite perfume, in many, many years. Buyer beware!! So bad I can't even use it as a bathroom deodorizer.
I smelled this scent on one of the magazines I get and I liked it. I decided to buy this product in the large size but when I put it on I can hardly smell the scent. Did they change the product?, I decided to buy the lotion thinking that by using them together it would make a difference, it did not. I spent a lot of money on this perfume and I will never buy it again. This one is not worth the money. I will go back to my other perfumes that have a better lasting scent.
Im still not sure about this one. Somewhat pricey but it is Chanel. I got the 1.7 size. It smells like a perfume for an older lady. And Im 64. Also I think I got an old Bottle. There is no expiration date for Chanel perfumes, so its hard to tell. But it smells stale and old. I would have returned it, but for some reason Im keeing it. Sad.
I bought this sight unseen Without ever testing it in the store.. I read the reviews and they seemed favorable. I have always wanted to try this perfume. I got the 1.70 size. Very pricey. But I guess that is Chanel. Im still not sure if I like it. Its very strong, so you only use it sparingly. I think the smell is odd. Maybe it will grow on me. I dont like waisting my time and returning things. I guess time will tell.
Many reviewers are pleased with this product so I was reluctant to write. I tried this years ago with no success. A very knowledgeable/experienced friend told me that not all fragrances are the same on everyone. Your body chemistry ( you can't really control), your diet, your bath products...all determine how this reacts on you. I love this on other women; sadly can't wear it myself.It might not be the manufacturing ( it's possible I suppose) but as we age our body changes too. Just something to consider!
