This cream lotion is my absolute favorite in the winter time or just whenever my skin is dry, sensitive, irritated, inflamed… you name it, this always gets the job done. It helps to deeply moisturize, soothe and heal any skin irritation/ problems that I have at the time. I love to use this all over my body and on my face as well, pretty much anywhere everywhere, it is so gentle and soothing you really can’t go wrong. Right after I apply this I instantly feel relief and a calming sensation that feels really nice. I love the thick texture of this cream, it’s unlike anything I’ve used before. It absorbs into the skin just fine and i loove how It leaves you with zero greasy / oily residue or feeling, just a calming, soothing layer of protection and moisture that lasts ... MoreThis cream lotion is my absolute favorite in the winter time or just whenever my skin is dry, sensitive, irritated, inflamed… you name it, this always gets the job done. This is my favorite face moisturizer to use whenever my skin barrier is damaged. Weather that be from over exfoliating, irritation from using retinol / tretinoin, too many active ingredients in skincare, sunburns, etc.. it’s crucial to have something like this with no irritating active ingredients in it, so you can give your skin a break and let it heal. I also like that it doesn’t leave my face all shiny and oily looking, instead it leaves more of a soft matte finish which I just really love! I have tried many many lotions and creams similar to this and still, I prefer this CeraVe cream over all the other brands, including the Cetaphil moisturizing cream. I definitely recommend this and it makes such a great facial moisturizer especially in the winter time!!

I used to work in healthcare and now work at a hair stylist so hands hands were and still are always in the water. Because of this, my hands get severely dehydrated to the point of cracking and bleeding along with extreme scaliness. Over the years, I’ve tried hundreds of hand creams- literally hundreds- nothing, not even the best most intense formulas- have worked for me. The only thing that ever saved my hands was a paraffin lotion from Bath Body Works (believe it or not). They discontinued it and I was so screwed. My hands went back to being absolutely raw and scaly. On a last ditch effort, I gave this stuff a shot. I did not have high expectations, despite Cerave being one of the best. To my surprise, my hands actually improved. I never thought that I’d find another hand cream that would save my hands. This has been a godsend for me. This stuff is so moisturizing and literally heals. The key is to wash your hands immediately before application, dry your hands and then immediately apply this cream. If you apply the cream to your dry hands- this will just sit on top of your dry skin. By washing your hands first, you are allowing the water moisture penetrate your skin but application of the cream must be done right after drying your hands while your hands still have some moisture. For even better results, I like to apply this liberally before bed and wear rubber gloves and sleep with them on all night. I take them off in the morning and my hands are totally moisturized from keeping the moisture in the gloves all night. A few days of this and my hands were totally better. This still really works and the best part is that it doesn’t burn at all!

Cera Ve Moisturizing Cream

One day when I was in my Dermatologist's office, I advised that my upper back was dry and itchy. He advised me, right away, to purchase Cera Ve Moisturizing Cream to use on my back. He even gave me a coupon for it. I left his office and went straight to the CVS across the street and used the coupon to purchase a container of Cera Ve Moisturizing Cream. The next morning, I applied Cer Ve to my back, and I could not believe the comfort it brought to my back. I could hardly wait until the next day to apply the Cera Ve to my back again. It is excellent moisturizer, it has three essential ceramides and accepted by National Eczema association. Cera Ve moisturizes and helps restore the protective skin barrier. No wonder Cera Ve is such a great product.

Disappointing

Pros: I really love how creamy it is. I love the pump option. It is truly unscented whereas some products touted as such have a faint chemical or hospital scent. Two negative ironies: for me, it not only doesn't moisturize when sold as such, but it also even has that very word listed along with its name. Subjectively, it sits on top of my skin with absolutely no penetration and the entire amount goes down the sink or shower drain. If I apply say an amount equal to a TBSP or two, when I later wash, that same exact amount comes off the top of my skin almost like a blanket layer that's been sitting there. I'm glad soap adheres to it or my pipes would eventually hold a container of cream. A non-moisturizer - ironically, yes. And especially since it's in the actual name. ... MorePros: I really love how creamy it is. Doesn't penetrate my skin in the slightest! Most unfortunate because I love, love its creaminess. One last thing that is probably the worst; the company turns a blind eye to and is supportive of animal torture. Whether in and of itself, or using ingredients from other companies that are cruel. It's not vegan or sustainable. Big sigh. This product was going to be my go-to forever. I'm so disappointed.

Game Changer!

I've been looking for a decent moisturizer that won't break the bank. I've heard amazing things about this product and though "might as well". For the record I'm use to high end like Bobby Brown, Charlotte Tilbury, etc and although all those moisturizers are great, they're SO pricy. I decided to give CeraVe a try and I'm not disappointed! As a little skin identification, My skin is clear. I'm not prone to blemishes and I'm very pale. I have a bit of texture and a bad uneven skin tone (I'm very red) I do have some issues with blackheads. Id say my skin is normal / dry. I live in AZ with a very dry and hot climate. Now for the product review. This moisturizer is a game changer! It melts into my skin and leaves me hydrated longer than ANY moisturizer I've used. I tend to reach for this moisturizer for the night time. I see a lot of people complaining of it pill-ing! This does contain Hyaluronic acid and when layering products you need to be mindful of what goes with hyaluronic acid or else you will get pilling! Also let products absorb inbetween for at least 5 minutes to avoid that issue. I did use this a couple times underneath foundation (I let absorb for 5 mins) and made sure it was compatible with my foundation to avoid separation and pilling. Overall when I apply this it evens out my skin tone (not 100% but a good 75%) calms my skin and doesn't burn. It leaves my skin so soft! Not every skin product is going to work for everyone so definitely do your research and cater your skincare to what it is you're looking for. Hope this helped someone.

Holy Grail Moisturiser 😮‍💨👌🏼

I've been using this for 2 years already and 👏🏼let👏🏼me👏🏼tell👏🏼you this moisturiser works wonders! I am no skincare expert, and I don't buy skincare products excessively, so finding products that are effective and accessible are important for me.I use this as my facial night cream and body moisturiser, and chileeee.... this moisturiser works. Every morning I wake up, my skin is still soft and supple!! No fragrance, no alcohol, no fuss, nothing! It only contains essential ingredients for the skin which is why dermatologists recommend and like this stuff. I get dry patches on my fingers when the weather gets warm, and this has been the only moisturiser that has worked for me. My skin is always soft and smooth - best its ever been since puberty hit 😂. Its honestly my holy grail, I don't think I'll ever stop buying this cream because its reliable and does the job every single time. Never had any break outs or skin irritations whilst using this, in fact its only improved my skin and kept it healthy since. My skin is between normal/oily/sensitive (very mild rosacea on my cheeks). If my rosacea gets triggered, this cream helps reduce the redness and calms it down. For the price point it is worth it and it often goes on discounts or promotions, so I usually stock up then. I also like that its a simple tub packaging that you can easily recycle or re-use as you wish.I do wish that cerave did refill packs instead though just to cut down on plastic waste. Other than that, huge fan of this moisturiser and I can see why people rave about this.

More occlusive than the lotion

This is Cerave's general purpose moisturising cream that can be used on the face or body. It comes in 170g squeeze tube, 340g tub or 454g tub. I have combination skin and absolutely love the Cerave's moisturising lotion in a pump as a face lotion. This cream has a similar formula to the lotion, but it does have petrolatum in the formula which makes it slightly thicker. Petrolatum is an occlusive agent that prevents transepidermal water loss, making it excellent for dry skin. Even though it is a bit thicker, it still isn't greasy at all and still absorbed nicely. It works quite well for me as a night cream, and works a treat when my skin is unusually dry, such as on a long flight. They just work even on sensitive or irritated skin. There is no fragrance and there are ingredients that support skin barrier health.
