I used this a couple times in my Subaru Liberty GT. Found after about 3000kms it would start burning it up quite quickly and performance would start tapering off.Switched back to Penrite HPR5 and the oil consumption has been less than half of the Castrol. Enough said.

After much research Castrol 0w-40 came out the best for my Mazda MX5's. I have used this now for a number of services and have had no or expect no issues. I prefer to use the best oil available and not leave it up to service centres what they are going to use.

I have used this oil in my late 90’s BMW M3 engine fro 8 years now with no problems. The variable valve timing uses oil to adjust the timing and so it requires the 0w40. Always purchase it on sale from Super Cheap Auto
Good product and relieved to see that supercheap are supporting high performance but would like to see Penrite 0 weight oil stocked
I found that using this oil formula, it protects my engine very well. Always used if, since 2005 in my 2.5ltr bmw engine and it still runs like the first time I serviced it.
This oil was recommended that me by a member of my car club who has rebuilt engines. Can’t fault it. Just wish it wasn’t so expensive!
Excellent product and meets MB229.5 approval. I've tried many brand oils meeting the Mercedes-benz spec for my W205 with M274 2.0 turbo, including Mobil 1. I find this product best as engine runs silky smooth and circulates quickly on cold starts. Highly recommend for Benz running the M274 2.0l turbo engine.
Has now been in my supercharged GT for 210,000 hard kilometres and still running beautifully with no oil usage and no blow by at all yet. Still running original timing chains as well.
Very happy with the Supercheap specials , oils can be expensive especially the 0W40 grade , it pays to keep an eye on what Supercheap has on offer.
