High quality photos with this kit! And I like the ease of changing the ink cartridges. No messy ink on my fingers, as the cartridge contains the ink colors; the color sheets 'lay down' the necessary colors to make the print. And it's almost instantaneous drying - no smudges on the photo! Would definitely recommend this kit - I've not been disappointed in the 8 years I've had my Canon Selphy products.

Canon's Selphy printer uses the KP-36LP for prints by thermal transfer. Each print gets a clear Plastic overcoat that gives protection from moisture and fingerprints. This feature is not available from a regular dye printer. The quality of the 4X6 prints look professional. The prints are durable enough to take handling from the Post Office, and the back of the print is set up for mailing. Kodak was charging $ for a 40 print set, while Canon has lowered the price to $ for 36 prints. That's hard to beat considering inflation. I have not received any negative comments from anyone who has gotten a print from me. But,I have rave's from people who watch the print materialize in front of them, out of the Selphy 900. Sets are available from B&H Photo, so they are delivered ... MoreCanon's Selphy printer uses the KP-36LP for prints by thermal transfer. I use this product in my Canon dye sub Selphy CP730 printer and love it for its compactness, ease of replacement, its vibrant color and especially for the ability to handle a print immediately after printing. No messy residues on the print or the printer. An added plus is the protective coating the print media places over the print itself upon completing a print. This printer with dye sub media can also crop as well as print B & W, Sepia, and in vivid tones. This printer & its media can be easily trans-ported and is great for previewing any digital shots in the field that are of particular interest. Also great for spontaneous gifts of snapshots to subjects while in the field. Great product, but be aware of this: The printer can sometimes eject an entire photos worth of ink every time it’s turned off then back on… Supposedly Canon fixed this on the later models but if not it is better to leave your printer on all the time than turn it iff every time you are done using it... look into the settings and see if there is a sleep setting (not sure if that resolves it or not). I realize this will waste power so it is a trade-off, but at least you can make an informed decision.
Bought this to use like 'contact prints' before committing to printing a large copy. Also to use for family prints to give away.
These cards a pre marked liked a post card on one side. Just add your high resolution photo to the other side. The ink rolls come with just enough on the roll to make 36 post cards. Then you replace the cards and the ink roll at the same time. It's a great way to personalize your post cards. The cards are a bit flimsy, a little more bendable than a true post card but they seem to work fine. Costs are comparable to post cards you buy at the store, and post cards only take 32 cent stamps right now. Makes a great way to send post cards with personal photos from vacations.
The product arrived in a soft bag. The paper box containing the paper and printer cartridge had obviously been opened before and in questionable working order. it worked. This was the only place where I could purchase the paper and printing cartage, but it should have been advertised as "previously opened" or "used".Luckily the product worked.
Ideal for the Canon Selphy Printer. Not only postcard size, 6*4 inches, but also designed as a postcard, so you print the photo then post them if that's want you want. Also the ink cartridges are included in the box. Enough ink for the box of cards. So if you run out of ink, you also run out of card/paper. Making it impossible to run out of one and not the other.Overall - Excellent.
Good Points: Very easy to useImprovement Points: The ink cartridge does NOT complete printing the pack of photo papers i.e. 18x2.It prints only about 28/29 of them.So I am left with lots of spare papers after large projects.
The canon rep told me this was the cartridge to get for my Canon selphy cp510. Upon the delivery the box was crushed and open on both ends. The cartridge itself seemed to not be damaged. Once inserted into my printer it got stuck and wouldn't come out. Took it to staples and they couldn't remove it either. They refunded me as it theybsaw it was an issue on their end. I have since threw the printer away and purchased a newer one. Very dissatisfied.
