You can make the smoothie, even using frozen fruit and once made you just change the lid and drink. It also has a locking lid so you can drink your smoothie on the go. Great for days when your having a day out or hospital appointment. Comes with two bottles and had been used every day since I gave my friend this great blender. So easy to use and clean. 10/10

This cover is exactly what I needed when bought the hot tub in the first place, but one wasn't offered. If your hot tub is uncovered in your back yard like mine is, be prepared to buy a new top for $500 or more like I did. Standard tarps don't fit but this cover fits perfectly! It is waterproof and protects the top from the sun and rain. I'm not sure how long it will last in the hot south Alabama sun, but if I can get a couple of years out of it, it will be well worth it. I could not be happier with the price and quality of this cover!

Blender claims it's OK to blend ice. I used 3x per week to blend frozen fruit with yogurt and milk/water and t worked fine. However after 4 months the rubber 'cog' on the bottom of the blade assembly (the bit that interfaces with the motor) was worn through and useless.Given how little the blender costs, I didn't really have a problem with this and went looking for a spare parts. There are none (although you can get the same spare part easily for other more well-known blenders [that don't fit the Breville).I contacted Breville for a spare part who were quick and helpful. But - they kept wanting me to disable the existing unit (by chopping of it's wires) and then they would send an entire new unit. So disappointed with this new model. The first time the blending mechanism shredded as I put ice in it. The second time I avoided ice, but used frozen fruit. Mechanism shredded again. The product boasts âice crushing powerâ. The bottles have flimsy catches which break easily so they canât be used to travel with. ÂŁ50 down by choosing this. So disappointed.
I bought my Active Blend from Amazon and wasn't very impressed from the start. The product didn't seem as robust as the previous model. I thought I would give it a go anyway. I use it to make a protein shake every morning and I put ice in it too. It worked ok at first but after a week I noticed little bits of grey in the base unit that you push the blades in to. This got worse every time I used it until the whole rubber part of the blade turning mechanism had disintegrated. I exchanged it as I had only had it 3 weeks and thought it might be a dodgy unit. New one was delivered and the same thing has happened after 2 weeks. Really disappointed and will not be ordering another one. Only had mine a couple of months and the catch on both bottles have snapped off. I've been in touch with Breville but unless I provide the receipt or label they won't replace them . Not sure about anyone else, but if I kept the receipts, labels and boxes for everything I'd bought, I'd need another shed to keep them all in.Breville, it's obviously a duff product, so do the decent thing before a child chokes on a bit of broken plastic and refund, recall or replace with something better.Would I recommend this to anyone...definitely not, not until they replace the bottles
After reading numerous reviews online and a review on The Gadget Show (I believe) on TV, which weren't all that favourable it has to be said, thought I'd see for myself (can always return it if it's not much cop). Glad I did, my daily banana, vanilla, choc and chia smoothie is delicious taa very much. I freeze ripened bananas chopped into in 2cm chunks and it copes easily with these with just a few blasts, I do take the bottle off halfway and give it a good shake just to make sure it's all mixed evenly. I've also used mixed frozen berries and again in literally a few seconds it's all blended nice and smooth. Dunno what those negative reviewers where up to but I'm an extreme perfectionist and really happy with it so far. This is surprisingly useful. Definitely does the job and having two bottles & tops is really convenient. I've only used it a few times, but its easy to clean - dishwasher safe. Its pretty noisy, but less than other brands I've owned. The only criticism I have is that the motor smells when running. Apparently this it typical of these low-end systems, but I wish they would uprate the motor or fix it some other way. All in all, possibly the best small alternative to a Magimix.One other thing - it would be nice to have a couple of other blades or accessories. But if you're just mixing smoothies or veg/fruit drinks, this will do the job.

Then you can blend. You have to hold the button down for it to blend, so you can do it as much as needed. Now what I came to realise afterwards is that you need to put enough stuff in to fill the bottle otherwise it doesnât mix fully.
