Excellent design and beautiful splash of color. Soft open lid is good , best of all there is no dribble from the spout when pouring, which has been our experience with all other kettles we have had.

As soon as I walked into Harvey Norman, I saw the bright deep yellow one on display and loved it at first sight, the handle is lovely to hold with its curviness and is big enough to feel nice, a lot of other kettles, the handle felt undersized and square, but not this Breville. Soft opening lid is nice, if you need to top up straight after boiling so it lets the steam out more gently rather than getting a face full of steam like many others. Boils reasonably quick, makes a nice subtle ping when it is boiled. I don't why but all kettles seem to boil too long once it reaches boiling, it can't get any hotter. I only gave 4 out of 5 stars because the water level can be hard to see, I hope Breville do rectify this on their next model. But all in all excellent.
