With this awful Corona virus you can never be too careful when it comes to your health and that does include monitoring your body temperature and you really need a good accurate thermometer that's gonna do the job right. I paid almost $60 for this one but it was well worth it. This is very easy to use. And I would highly recommend this to anyone. works great with adults or kids or babies

Work great from baby to adult. Use it for the whole family. The tip is a little big for baby under 6 months, but still work great either way.
I bought this just before the coronavirus hit the U.S. I figured it was coming and wanted to be prepared. Ordered extra covers too, as it won’t take a temp without a plastic cover that goes in the ear. It’s well rated online and I wanted to love it. It’s terrible. Every time I take a reading and then do another one right after, the temps are really different. Varies up to three degrees(!) in just a few seconds. If we weren’t staying at home, I would return it. Very disappointed ... especially when it’s so important.
I've always used Braun thermometers, but the newer models seem to have trouble giving consistent readings. I will get a different temp, each time I use this. I have to use it 4 or 5 times, in each ear, to get an average. I changed the batteries, thinking that might be why, but had the same problem. This seems to be an ongoing issue with newer Braun thermometers, from what I am reading from other reviewers on various sites. When a child doesn't feel good, the last thing you want is to have to stick this in their ears, right times. Another issue I have with this is having to set the age level, every time I go to use it. That doesn't sound like much, but it gets really annoying when you want to get a quick temperature. I wanted to like this model, more than I do, but ...
