I bought this as a base for a display of antique woodworking tools that I have. I also use the 4'x4' base as well. They both are excellent additions to my shop. They set up and take down in just seconds and they have eliminated the need for sawhorses.

I love these centipede tables. I already have an 4'x8' centipede but I needed something more potable and the 2'x4' is a perfect companion to the larger centipede. Added to it the table top and now I have a portable worktable.

I didn't know what to expect but was pleasantly surprised. Once I got it assembled - which is NOT lickety split - it is a nice solid surface for laying out gluing or clamping work.

I didn't know what to expect but was pleasantly surprised. Once I got it assembled - which is NOT lickety split - it is a nice solid surface for laying out gluing or clamping work.
I have used mine to keep plywood on instead of laying it on the ground, 8 sheets of T-111 siding at once. Another time I used the Centipede for to hold up paneling. Both of these instances the Centipede was in my yard on less than level ground. I have also thrown a pallet on top and used it as a temporary work table.
This is a fabulous table stand. I also bought the top. It is incredible how much weight and how stable this set is. The only issue I had was the bag that came with the centipede was sewn incorrectly and was about 2 inches too narrow to zip the bag completely closed and one end. I contacted Rockler and they said to contact Bora, which I did. Have not received a replacement bag yet from Bora.
The holes were not 20 mm but were about 19.7 mm. As a result, my bench dogs wouldn't fit. It took several e mails before I got a replacement. This seems to be a common issue. So, I was not only without the table for about a month but I had to return the defective one which was a pain to repackage and haul to FedEX. The new one has the 20 mm holes but this was a bad buying experience.
The Bora Centipede works just as advertised. Solid construction and highly ergonomic. I made room in my work van by getting rid of saw horses for this convenient, packable piece of gear. I recommend this product to any person from professional to hobbyist. Nice job Bora!
I bought this because most of my work is being done inside a garage. I needed flat surface for sanding, drilling and a good height table top for my miter saw and router. I had an old counter top I removed from my kitchen and cut it to size. This is a game changer since my previous flat surface was a small table.
This came earlier than advertised. It was double boxed, so it arrived in EXCELLENT condition. It is as advertised and described. I have a friend who showed how make a solid top rather than use 2 x 4's as shown in advertisements. So that is what I have been using and this is the cat's meow for me with my limited space in my Garage/Shop/Storage. It doesn't look it, but I have used my Delta bench top planer, my Cut Tech bench top jointer, and my Compound miter saw on top and it was ROCK SOLID!
The Bora Centipede is a great addition to someone needing a easy to setup and extremely solid workspace. Plus the flexibility that is added when you start combining the various clamps and dog hole work tops really pushes this system to a whole new level! The 2’x4’ size is great for those smaller remodeling spaces. Bora is my go to for all mobile work stations and material stands!
