Bondi Sands Pure Self Tanning Face Mist 70 ml

So it turns out I’m always a bit color blind after I tan, as I don’t always quiet realise how dark I actually am! Swipe to see the before! So for the colour side i can obviously say this is a beautiful shade, it does look very natural in real life. The texture of the tan is what makes it unique, however my only trouble was applying it as it suggests to apply to skin first but that just does make it slide down the skin - so I just put it on my mitt as normal. And the best thing about this tan for me is there’s no wash off, and there was no smell or transfer either! This makes it perfect for weekend tan prep, especially when you’re trying to plan a hair wash, body wash, bath and tan schedule! I can truly say as well that my skin does feel more supple and smooth, and that must be due to the vitamin C and Hyaluronic Acid thats in the formula, something I’ve not seen done before in a tan! I have very dry skin and I benefit from this massively. I have tried the face tan however face tan just isn’t right for my skin texture. It does give me the appearance of sun spots and freckles instead. But I can tell that it was pigmented as my skin did have colour, just not in an even texture. So if you have very smooth skin I recon this would suit. So I’m just going to use the face tan as a mini top up spray on other areas of my body instead!

The pump mechanism on mine was a little bit tough but I managed to evenly disperse 4-6 pumps on my face as per the instructions on the back of bottle and then I blended it with the clean side of my mitt. My face has suffered quite badly over the last 5 years with persistent breakouts, it's only in the last year through copious amounts of research into skincare and what to use and not use together have I managed to get my skin under control, thankfully this didn't upset my skin and in the evening after full development time I was able to wash my face and continue on with retinol in the evening without any breakouts. The spray took the same amount of time as the foaming water to develop which is really such a happy and convenient feature, it also works in cohesion with the foaming water so you can't see where you've used the spray and where you've used the foam on the skin as they seem to be consistent with one another. For all you guys and gals like me who are sticklers for cleansing in the morning and evening as well as applying an entire routine of acids and serums there is some inevitable fade but I'm three days in and I'm still happy with how my face and neck compares to the rest of my body however I don't use exfoliating toners such as glycolic acid and I feel this would affect the longevity. As previously mentioned, the developed shade is a bit too orange on me but I will continue to experiment with this product in other ways, perhaps I'll try to buffer it over a moisturiser or serum to make the developed colour less intense or I will use it to boost other self tans and natural summer tans.

I have medical conditions that mean I sometimes struggle to open things/press things etc and I really really struggled badly to get the top to press down, even with both hands. I also found that the spray wasn't really a fine mist but quite big wet splodges and therefore I was a bit concerned that it might come out patchy. Luckily for me it didn't after being rubbed in. Over the past 24 or so hours after being applied it did seem to keep developing more and more. However, I am glad I didn't use the sleep mask on top as I feel like it would have been to much for me. I thought that the colour would make my dark spots etc less noticeable but it's actually done the opposite and made it look quite red and I've had a break out on my chin too. As this is the only new product I have used in the last 24 hours I think this must be the cause. In the interest of fairness I took all of the pictures in the same room around 24 hours apart. The pictures do not do it justice at all. The colour is much darker than it shows up on screen. I would say though that this probably a product I would consider using again if I wanted a quick easy tan. The thing that put me off big time though was the smell. It says it's unscented but it very definitely is once it's on the face. It's far too strong for me.

It’s actually not that easy to press down, especially when you’re keeping your eyes closed so it doesn’t go in them. Once you’ve applied 4-5 sprays you blend it in with your mitt. However, I’d still be cautious the first time as it takes a week+ to fade! If you’re a novice, I would be veryyyyy careful to blend evenly when using this! It doesn’t smell as strongly as some fake tans, but it still has the fake tan scent for a while after application. It does disappear after a while though. I have sensitive skin and it didn’t cause me any irritation. It also contains hyaluronic acid, vitamin c and e which I think is great as you can’t put products on top of it for a while but my skin still didn’t dry out. Love that all the packaging is recyclable - yay Bondi Sands! 💚 I wouldn’t personally buy this as I preferred the sleep mask I tried, but if you want a darker tan this is good.

Best tanning moose ever

I was going to FL for vacation & being in UT I look like Ive been hiding under a rock all year! I ordered 3 different tanning moose & an oil. This was by far the best I tried, I love that it shows color right away & you could see if you missed a patch. The color is very natural & goes on so easy. I did by the application mitt & by far the best thing to apply it with. Ive had so many compliments on my tan & when I tell them its moose, they are shocked! I use it on my face too & very natural. I dont wash it after an hour, I just leave it on. Will always have this moose in my closet now.

Don’t waste your money

First off (unless it was my particular bottle), the spray button is impossible to press down with one hand. It’s so hard to press that I can’t follow the instructions and spray 15 cm from the face because it doesn’t f**king spray 😂😂 I need two fingers to hold it down lol. And by the time I eventually got it onto my face it smelt weird. Like gross weird. And to have that lingering at your nostrils whilst trying to sleep isn’t fun. And to top it off, instead of looking like a nice bronzed glow to the face I look like I did back in year 7 with an orange face and white neck. White neck because I battled with the bottle to even get the product onto my face, let alone my neck too 🤦🏼‍♀️ I knew I didn’t like Bondi sands, don’t know why I tried their products again.

Gorgeous

I love this face mist, really easy to use. You only need a couple of sprays, blend it in with the tanning mit and that's it. Gives a gorgeous even tan. I like to apply to clean exfoliated skin without any skin care products, just a clean dry face, make sure you exfoliate properly or you may end up with Brown patches where the dry skin patches are on your face. The tan last around a week, especially if you moisturise well every day and night. I wouldn't use any other tanning products on my face, I just love it, smells great too, unlike all the other fake tans I've used over the years. I would highly recommend this. Product Works But Bottle is Defective

After reading the reviews I realize I'm not alone in having difficulty getting the pump to work. Tried every which way, had my husband try get the product to spray out, nothing worked. If you have a great product but can't get it out of the bottle this is a problem, especially at this price. Thank goodness I thought to dig my old spray bottle out of the trash from the previous face tanner I had just finished up. Cleaned it, poured this in and viola! I shouldn't need to go through all that just to use it and what if I'd already taken out the trash. Please fix your packaging stat!

Shocked

I would like to firstly say I am a huge fan of bondi sands, it’s the only tan I’ve used for the last 6 years. I was so excited to try this new sleep mask when it launched, I tried it out and followed the directions perfectly and was utterly shocked the following morning, my face was completely orange. I love bondi sands as their products have an olive undertone that looks very natural but the sleep mask was not that. I have normal to dry skin and also have very clear skin for reference. After forgetting about it, I decided to give the product another chance a few weeks later and thought this time I would put a thin layer of moisturiser underneath because maybe it clang to my dry patches the last time. Too dark for me

I've got to be honest, this was way too dark for me. My entire face went bright orange and kept developing for hours and hours. I mostly bought it because the reviews said it wasn't dark enough, clearly these lucky people aren't as pale as me! I also had an allergic reaction to it which isn't the product's fault, I just have sensitive skin. I'm giving it 3* because someone darker than me will probably love it. If you want a dark tan buy this! I'm sticking to the aero mousse, which everyone says you should NEVER put on your face but it's the only thing I'm not sensitive to so... 😂
