I actually started playing the game myself and my kiddo comes up asking what I was playing. It took about 2 minutes of watching me play before she said “hey, can I try?”. I gave her the switch and she proceeded to play for over an hour and would’ve played longer had she not needed to get ready for bed and only agreed to get ready for bed with the agreement that she could play the switch the next day. Together with my wife and kids (ages 8 and 7), we absolutely love the game. Unlocking all the levels may happen quicker than most may like, but I think it does a great job hooking the attention of the main audience (children). There is also more to the levels than simply completing them. There are hidden items throughout the levels, which instantly made me, as the main gamer of the family, want to accomplish the game with 100% of everything discovered. I find myself returning to the Bluey Video Game with my kids just to break up the day and to have that bonding moment with them. Their reaction to seeing the characters and finding the hidden items is gold. For those having difficulty obtaining the game through influenster, the redemption is slightly confusing. The code is to be used on your gaming account even though it takes you to a "store" website. It took me a couple of failed attempts trying to purchase from a store to realize the code is to be used on your gaming console account (Xbox live, Nintendo online, etc.)

So this is a little advanced for the toddler age as far as movement my almost 4 year old can move jump and pick up things but doesn't understand combinations such as jumping onto something etc. I think this is best suited for my older elementary school kiddo. I thought this was fun and unique to play. As an adult it's simple and relaxing. I love that you can choose which family member you will play. I love that there is story to it and it's not just a bunch of mini games or all cutscenes. However, for the sake of my kids I do enjoy the few cut scenes I've encountered so far. The game graphics are on par with the TV show and run super smoothly.

Bluey is a video game with colorful graphics geared towards preschool age, to realistically, about 1st grade. The tasks are designed to challenge kids to think about doing something, before they actually do it. I thought it was nice to see a game for children that shows how a family could work together in a positive way to get things accomplished. It was cute to see how mom dad complimented each other, along with complimenting the child’s character after completing a project. I also liked to see how it depicted how a family could work as a team to tackle Bluey’s adventures. You can pick your own character play solo, or have others play along as the other family members. My niece sure did love it! There’s definitely many different activities within the game that would provide hours of clean, wholesome entertainment for your child.

Don't pay full price.

I gave it a 3/5 because our LO is still enjoying the game. My husband and I are both gamers, and we were so excited to introduce our LO to their first video game. While we cringe at the bad transitions, obvious bugs, and glitches, our LO still enjoys playing this. So, there is that. However, our LO has no baseline of what a good video game should play like. Would I pay full price again? Nope. Wait until it's on sale. I wasn't expecting much, but this is a slap in the face to all the Bluey fans out there. This game feels more like a money grab than a genuine attempt to create something fun and engaging. If I owned an IP, I would not trust OG to make a game about it. There better be some updates to fix these issues. Is it too late to get our money back? lol

Great for any Bluey Fan!

Overall a very good game! I've been seeing a lot of mixed feedback on this new Bluey videogame so when it came in the mail today I was nervous about what our experience would be. I was actually very surprised! My son really is enjoying this game. There are a few things to keep in mind before purchasing though. We got this game on sale for $24 which I feel is a great price point for what the game is. On the upside, kids can choose between Bluey, Bingo, Mom, or Dad before the game starts. The game feels like interactive episodes of Bluey which I thought was a great mix between storymode and freeplay. The overall objective of the game is to collect stickers for Bluey's stickerbook which "unlocks" new locations such as the Heeler House, Playgrounds, Creek and a Beach. I loved that the voices sounded orignal as well as the background music. Aside from unlocking locations, you child will unlock games like "Keepy Uppy" that they can go back and play again and again. There are also fun "dress up" items that you unlock along the way! On the downside, the characters at times would glitch/get stuck. The game seems to lag a bit when you first turn it on and "press A" to start. This is a fairly short game which is great for smaller kids, but it will be finished within a couple of hours. Overall, I highly recommend this game even with the small bugs that are present. I'm sure in time those will get ironed out. Bluey the videogame is just as bright and colorful as the acutal show that creates a fun, immersive experience for any Bluey fan!

Would be fun, if it worked

My 4 year old was so excited to get this at Christmas only to be disappointed. It's a fun game, until it isn't. It glitches to where a player is stuck in a wall, won't let you through an area you just went and your stuck and can't move, ect. The last straw we couldn't complete a task because it just wouldn't let us. He tried for 5. minutes so I tried and just wouldn't move the object in the creek. Restarted the game and it worked until we had to move another rock to build a stairs and after both trying for 15 minutes and doing exactly as we were suppose to we shut it off. Really wishing we could return, not worth the price at all. So at this point just hoping the do an update to the game and we can play. We wanted to love this game as we are big fans of bluey. The game was very very disappeared we hope this review saves another child from the same disappoint daughter experienced. [Rewarded Review] This does not belong in the Heeler Family
24 November 2023

We love Bluey and got this in release day. We were so excited to play it, but in playing it, we found it to be the buggiest game weve ever played. It pains me to give a Bluey product one star. The game mechanics are poor because it follows around one character, even though multiple people are playing. If the player the game chooses to follow leaves the screen, everyone else is sucked to that character. I found myself quite often becoming frustrated as the game glitched. At one point I ended up about 10 feet below the house and could look up at it as it had no floor. My son (4y), while playing by himself, ended up stuck in the sun. I REALLY wanted to like this game, but it was sadly very poorly coded and tested.

I never leave reviews… I’m generally not that kind of guy, but; I’ll make an exception here for my kids sake. My 6 yo begged for this game for a month prior to its release because he loves Bluey. We bought if for him, and he and his 8yo brother beat the main game in an hour… ONE HOUR. There are online kids websites with more intericate, longer games, and this cost us $40. Whichever studio was in charge of this garabge game should be fired, and never hired to develop another game. To be fair, the show owners should also be ashamed of taking what seems to be the “budget” option on the games production.
