This was our first shaped puzzle, and we struggled until we figured out this puzzle shouldn't be approached in our typical way. We would normally put the entire outside edge in place then work inward from there, and in fact that was OK for the bottom of this puzzle, but the "blossoming part" needed to be be treated as a series of individual pictures that would be joined. This was a beautiful and fun challenge.

This puzzle would not be ideal for families with small children, pets, or seniors (small pieces). Stunning how the books look alive with the floral and butterflies. You definitely need patience with this one as pieces don't stay interlocked easily.

Have purchased and completed quite a few Galison puzzles. This is my first shaped puzzle. I found it challenging and fun to do. Other reviewers have mentioned that not all pieces lock together. I found that to be part of the challenge. I'll probably gift one of these puzzles to my puzzle loving friends.

Bought one Blooming Books for myself and another for a friend’s mom who loves puzzles. She thanked me, then cursed me, then said it kept her sane! ( She finished long before I did.) Middle third quite difficult, highly satisfying to complete. I’m a new fan of the shaped format, which makes for a surprising edge experience and irregularly shaped pieces keep you guessing. Ultimately, lovely to look at and much prettier in person. Also worth mentioning that Galison puzzles are really high quality, from packaging to graphics to fit. This one— Fun to work, just the right level of frustrating, gorgeously colorful — five stars!
I must have got a knockoff. The puzzle i received was garbage.Looked like the image was a poor copy of a poor copy from a cheap magazine page. You could see every dot that made up an image.The pieces were thick, but not laminated well. There were dozens of pieces with torn paper on front or back. Lot of poorly cut pieces that wouldn't separate without tearing.I love shaped puzzles so this was a HUGE disappointment.Especially since i also ordered four shaped puzzles directly from gallison,Hoping they are better than this landfill mess.Will update if the puzzles directly from gallison are better (they couldnt be worse).Then it will be up to walmart to deal with cheap knockoffs
Great rainy day activity. The puzzle is gorgeous. It surprisingly took us longer to do than expected, which was nice.Looking forward to completing another one.
This is my seventh Galison puzzle. I've purchased Daily special set for 2, Rainbow Butterflies, Gray Malin: The Beach Double, Wendy Gold: Full Bloom, Rainbow Popsicles, Floret Farm's: Cut Flowers, and Ben Giles: Blooming Books. I work with children with developmental and/or learning delays. During quarantine, I have been sending puzzles to my clients. The puzzles have been a calming tool for my clients during this time. Highly recommend this as gifts, great quality. I will continue to purchase more =)
We had a great time with this puzzle. The pieces are seriously random! It was quite challenging, but moved along smoothly. The pieces are a bit thicker than the Galison ribbon cut puzzles, which helps keep those odd shapes together so you can move sections into place.We look forward to doing more of these shaped puzzles!
This was my first "shaped puzzle." The thing that I wasn't crazy about was how many of the pieces just fit up against the next rather than snapping into place which meant I was always having to put things back in place as I worked. The ultimately all fit together nicely, but while in process this was a little annoying. It was a good puzzle though and I still enjoyed it overall. I've done probably 10 or more of your standard rectangular puzzles. They're all good.
This puzzle is beautiful, and the cut of the pieces provided a delightful challenge without resorting to trial and error. I only gave 4 stars because I had to buy a craft cutter to cut apart many of the pieces, which were not cut all the way through at the factory. Despite having to fix the puzzle before I started, it was enough fun that I’d recommend it to others.
