Blackmagic Studio Camera 4K Plus
The Blackmagic Studio Camera 4K Plus is a compact video camera that's suitable for live studio recordings. With this camera, you can record in 4K resolution with maximum 60 fps. You can record smooth images of moving subjects, such as athletes. With an optional HDMI cable of maximum 10m, you can connect the camera to a computer. This way, you can stream your images and control the camera remotely. So you can prevent vibrations in your image, because you don't use the buttons of the camera while adjusting the settings. Thanks to the dynamic range of 13 stops and the maximum ISO value of 25,600, you can record clear images in dark settings. This is useful if you record outside at night, for example for a reportage. The camera has a Micro Four Thirds lens mount.

Works great. I am using one of the recommended PZ lenses. I can control it from my ATEM. I am still learning but now can work as a one person demonstrator and control some camera operation. I love the presets...

Positives:- Excellent integration with Black Magic Design?s ATEM switchers, for camera control, including color adjustment, focus and potentially zoom, if using a power zoom lens.- Everything you like about the quality of the BMPCC4k applies to this product too, but now you get all that in a live HDMI feed for streaming or recording.- Form factor perfectly suited for on-tripod work, in studio or event spaces.Negatives:- Initial colors straight out of camera are flat and desaturated, even if you use the factory-installed conversion to Rec. 709. Count on building your own LUTs, or using ATEM camera control for color adjustment.- One-shot focus sometimes slightly overshoots or undershoots its target, and needs manual adjustment to achieve desired sharpness.- ... MorePositives:- Excellent integration with Black Magic Design?s ATEM switchers, for camera control, including color adjustment, focus and potentially zoom, if using a power zoom lens.- Everything you like about the quality of the BMPCC4k applies to this product too, but now you get all that in a live HDMI feed for streaming or recording.- Form factor perfectly suited for on-tripod work, in studio or event spaces.Negatives:- Initial colors straight out of camera are flat and desaturated, even if you use the factory-installed conversion to Rec. 709. We bought these cameras for our church, and they are the perfect middle ground for being simple enough for volunteers to run, but having all the features of a higher end broadcast camera.Having the built-in screen and tally lights is also huge for us. Makes it a simple all-in-one rig.
We used this camera for a conference and I was thoroughly impressed with the ease of use and the quality delivered so easily. We did not use an ATEM Device so all of our configurations were done on the camera itself but thanks to the touchscreen it was super easy to get going. Knowing we could rely on this camera to deliver video for hours without any issues was great.
The quality is incredible. I'm using it at church in 4k broadcasts. It needs more lighting than other cameras, so it was necessary to invest in this to get an excellent result. Using it with Focus and Zoom Demand made our work professional. In addition to the product, delivery was fast and everything arrived ok.I am very satisfied.
Overall a fantastic camera. Especially if you like the simplicity and effectiveness of Blackmagic Design's Hardware and User Interface. My only complaint with this camera is the size of the sensor and lens mount, but that is a compromise that I think is worth it considering the price.
Works perfectly with the ATEM switcher. I like the way it allows a tally light and gives remote control focus, zoom and main camera settings.
I initially bought the camera for church services and studio production work i.e. podcasting, Tv productions and other live events. And I've been nothing less than satisfied....I absolutely love this camera. For someone like me , new to camera ownership, navigation is very simple. However, my ambitions have exceeded beyond my budget so I've been racking my brain trying to figure out a way to rig this camera for filmmaking . I'm sure there's a film guru with a HACK!!Any suggestions? If all you had was BMSC 4K plus and no budget to buy another camera how would you use this in a film situation ?Thank you for your advice
main camera screen was completely blown and customer service was not able to help in fixing the problem. This left my camera operator to guess on focus and exposure since the large LED screen (and the only way he could see what was being shot) was completely washed out.
