If you use regularly then yes why not bundle buy - you get what you buy normally a smidge cheaper; and this is the only organic coconut milk I'm aware of that doesn't have added preservatives or gums or emulsifiers etc ; so of course that does make it more expensive ( hence 4 stars); I string it out, never using a can all at once but half at most, so the rest goes in the fridge where it keeps very well for several days

Slightly more expensive but worth every penny for its great taste and the lack of "other stuff" in the ingredients. Just coconut and water in this and you really taste a difference.Word of warning, the lack of emulsifiers etc means the cooconut cream solidifies separate from the liquid in the tin - don't be put off, tip it all in and it's absolutely fine

I was a bit anxious when opening the tin to find a solid lump of coconut and then a load of liquid - eeek, I thought. I hadn't expected that. I didn't realise, either, that heating will help it combine (will do that next time) so out came my ancient trusty Kenwood food mixer with liquidiser attachment. In a few seconds of blending I had lovely mixed up coconut milk for my butter chicken. I would rather have a natural product than one stuffed with emulsifiers, so thank you Biona.

Recently I started paying a lot more attention to food labels and discovered that most coconut milks contain emulsifiers and stabilisers, but not this one. Just coconut and water. Now I wouldn’t buy any other brand.
Coconut and water. That's all I wanted, without all the horrid additives. I was surprised when opening the tin it was solid on top, but it mixed together well and I made a scrumptious slow cooker chicken breast with tarragon. A real winner with hubby. It was so delicious! 😋
There’s far too much water in this and not enough coconut. It’s a pretty poor ratio; I’ve used even basic cheap brands that have a higher amount of coconut. Sadly the coconut cream from this brand isn’t much better. I love Biona and use a lot of their products but this one is overpriced for what you get. It’s just about ok in a curry where the thinner consistency and higher amount of liquid can work ok. But I won’t buy this again when I can find an organic and better version in my supermarket.
People who complain about separating perhaps are not aware that Coconut milk in a can will always separate into water & solids unless one adds synthetic ingredients to emulsify ,solubilise & thicken. There are many brands that sell uniformed thick creamy coconut milk but just look at the ingredients.I for one am pleased that I can buy Biona coconut milk which although arrives separated does not have anything else other than water and coconut milk. All I need to do is a quick whisk to get perfect creamy coconut milk without all the additives
This has got to be the worst coconut milk ever. I have used coconut milk for years and years. This is the second can of Biona and this, like the last one, had a thick layer of coconut oil at the top. To be sure that it wasn't just an odd looking layer of thick milk I melted it and it went from white to clear just like coconut oil does. Why has coconut milk got oil in it? It's not listed on the ingredients. Even the stuff below the layer of thick oil was gross and ususable. it was a grey liquid with grainy curdles in it. When buying this I had forgotten that another can I had was awful. I have no idea how anyone can rate this as good or recommend to others. unless i just got cans from a bad batch twice
I cant digest the full fat in this (for medical reasons). 2 orders in a row its been the substitute for the light. My partner just made a Thai curry and I threw it all up. wasnt aware it was full fat until after it was too late. Ocado PLEASE stop substituting.
If anyone here is familiar with Asian cooking, you might know there are two kinds of coconut milk used thick and thin. This is the thin version. If youre making appam and stew or a Thai curry, you may want to stick to Asian brands. If youre making a pinacolada, then this is good.
