Don't hesitate the only decision needs to be which of the gorgeous colours? We picked green it's a jewel,of a colour. Do download the app it's dead simple and helps with quick connectivity to radio stations and customising the sound if you want to although it comes set on optimum sound which is amazing. Don't lose the charging lead it's hidden in the box! Lovely sturdy well made product which connects really easily we just want another one now! Navy maybe?

While this may not have the greatest base in this market segment it has in my opnion a far superior open sound that it spreads perfectly around the speaker. it lends itself wonderfully to classical, jazz and classic rock where there is an emphasis on vocals over heavy base lines. I have now invested in a second and link them in stereo as my go to travel speakers. So whether you just want to create your own environment with a good book in the hotel room, create a mini outdoor cinema with your table or go for the more adventerous picnic these are a pefect companion.Especially with the extradordinarily good battery life the party can just keep on going.

The sound is fresh and crisp on standard settings. Initially I thought it wasn't as good as the Bose mini speaker, which this was bought as a replacement; however, settings can easily be changed to personal preferences using the B&O app. The latter is simple to use.Bluetooth connectivity is fast and works first time every time with a long range.Charging is also very quick and the battery life is exceptional. An audio beep warns you when the battery has reduced to 20% and the charging light turns red and flashes red when down to below 5%.Buttons on top of the speaker are positive although not the cleared in terms of labelling; however, it doesn't take long to remember the positions. After a few weeks, the speaker still looks brand new.As with most B&O ... MoreThe sound is fresh and crisp on standard settings. Out of the box, the speaker comes charged & ready-to-go, along with USB cable, and a carabiner. Missing however, is a wall charger - perhaps following in Apple's trend?First handling the speaker, it's clearly a premium item. The industrial design is beautiful. No larger than a tin you might find in your kitchen cupboard, it has a satisfying weight that lets you know it's decent quality (although whether this impacts portability is something to consider.)Pairing to a phone is easy, and manageable without looking at the manual. It's not necessary to actually play music, but I did it anyway - more on this later. In terms of sound quality, I was immediately impressed by the clarity. The vocals and instruments sound sharp bright, and crisp - making my larger Google Home speaker sound muddy by comparison. However, the B&O was sadly lacking in the bass department (for me at least) missing that satisfying thump I expected to accompany the songs I listened to. Perhaps it's unfair to expect this from something so small. The accompanying app requires an account to use it. Once you're in, you can change the sound presets. I personally found no benefit to doing this, and preferred the standard out the box sound profile. Other more useful features in the app, included battery %, pairing with other speakers, and firmware upgrade.Overall, I can't help but feel like the speaker is just too nice to live the rugged life it seems to have been built to endure - even though I'm sure its metal construction and waterproofing would see it through just fine. I can genuinely see the 360° sound as a benefit to outdoor listening. I'd like to have seen illuminated controls on the top though as they can be hard to distinguish in low light.I'd just about recommend this, and give 4* on balance, but if it were up to me, I'd probably forego the looks, and go for something a bit more powerful and bassy.
The first thing I was impressed with after receiving the product was the packaging - so many products these days have an unneccessary amount of packaging but this didin't. It was safely and simply packaged. The actual speaker feels compact and robust and it's nice that it's available in a few different colours. Setting up the speaker was incredibly straight forward and it was up and running after 5 minutes (that includes the time it took to install the B&O app on my phone. Perhaps a bit on the pricey side (I have a couple of Ultimate Ears Boom bluetooth speakers which are cheaper and just as good). I can't comment on the party/stereo function as I only have one but it's a nice little portable speaker that feels robust and well made.
When it’s working it sounds amazing for the size of it but unfortunately it doesn’t connect to all other Bluetooth devices for some unknown reason. It will find all the devices no problem but connecting is the issue. If you’re going to purchase one then I’d recommend going into the shop and testing it before purchasing to make sure it’s going to connect to you required devices. I’ve kept mine because it links up to some of my other device's so I can still use it.
This speaker is a tough little gem. I haven't abused it too heavily because it's just too pretty, but that said it's spent time hanging out in the greenhouse with me with no complaints about the humid atmosphere or any accidental watering. It's been on holiday and tackled flights and car journeys with no problems. It hangs nicely from the clip on a bag or belt loop to give you a portable soundtrack and holds up to sandy beaches without issue. The one I have is finished in a slightly matt metallic, deep jewel green colour, which feels nice to the touch and looks bang on trend. The ease of use is great. Pairing with my phone was intuitive and I didn't really need the instructions to make it happen. Pairing with my phone was intuitive and I didn't really need the instructions to make it happen. I haven't used the app as I have a limited tolerance for everything demanding that it have it's own app. I don't really need it to play my music through the speaker. It's a little irritating that I can't tell how much power is left in the speaker until it's running out (it bleeps to warn you) and I'm going to guess that that is a feature available in the app but that doesn't justify downloading it to me. It charges fast and lasts ages. It's easy to control from both my phone and the buttons on the speaker. The controls on the top could do with being backlit though.I only have the one so can't comment on how they work in multiples, but the idea of being able to use them like that is great. It is happy being played at a fairly decent volume, the sound is pretty good for a compact, portable speaker. Positioning it on a solid surface and within a few inches of a wall helps it produce a fuller sound, if a little 'boxy' in the lower mids. To be fair to it though, it copes well with a range of musical genres. Vocals and speech are clear and never particularly harsh. From what I've read, the sound settings can be changed in the app too but again, slightly annoying that I need to go to an app to change this. For general use on the move, it's brilliant.
Firstly it's really easy to set up and connect. Download the app and you're done. The app also gives you info about the charge, connections and preset sound dynamics. You can control the music through your phone or tablet or through the speaker so depending where you are or where your phone and speaker is, there's no backwards and forwards between devices. Looks wise, really nice, I got the green option, a strong colour but stylish and not in your face. The design gives a 360 ribbed effect which again is simple but looks great. This also gives you a good grip if the are holding it. The buttons are all arranged on the top of the speaker. Easy to navigate with a small connection/power light. If there's nowhere to stand the speaker you can clip it to your bag, pram or bike. The clip is positioned at the top so all function buttons are always easy to get to. If you do stand it on a surface, even though it fits in your hand, there is a good solid weight to it so doesn't feel like it will fall over. As for it's sound quality I really rate it. Its really small and compact but it does have a punch to it and high end is really crisp. Doesn't matter on the volume you play music on lyrics are always clear. You can also clearly tell the difference if you are playing a track in HIFI quality. For a small speaker it gives you an open surround sound. You can also connect it to another speaker so can get a even better sound by adding more.I'd say this is a compact yet great small speaker that will fill a room or is great for when you are outside, chilling. Much better than the other potable speakers I've had and would definitely recommend
My goal in acquiring a brace of these speakers -- in order to make a stereo pair -- was to allow me to listen to music while sitting in my garden. So far, I'm very pleased with the results; I've listened to some music (which, as various reviews have suggested, defaults to a somewhat bass-heavy roominess, but which can be tuned using the B&O app) and to parts of an Audible book. In both uses the speakers were very competent, and managed the 'infinite' sound field of the garden very well. As you'd guess, they are not noticeably directional, which is ideal for my purposes. In both uses the speakers were very competent, and managed the 'infinite' sound field of the garden very well. As you'd guess, they are not noticeably directional, which is ideal for my purposes. Maybe one day we'll even have an outdoor party again, and these speakers will step up to provide a soundtrack; they certainly are loud enough -- I was conscious of not wanting to disturb my neighbors' in their back gardens, and kept the speakers (which, control-wise, act as one when stereo-paired) at a moderate level. I'm not fully in synch with the software yet -- it seems that when I turn the speakers off and later turn them on again, the stereo pairing is lost, but I don't think this is intended behaviour so I'll work out what I'm doing wrong. The final piece of the puzzle is getting Roon to recognize the Bluetooth connection as an audio output option so I can play everything I own over the B&Os; I'm awaiting the arrival of a Bluetooth dongle which, according to online lore, will let Roon 'discover' another option, and solve this problem. Fingers crossed. Overall, I'm very happy with this purchase -- they're very solid in feel, good to look at, and startlingly small. The colour match for the metal body, nylon straps and carabiner is remarkably accurate and gives a sense of attention to detail which I always find satisfying.
