I have a 12 and 1 year old and they both get excited by the colourful variety of food I’ve packed for them each day they open their Bentgo lunchbox. I’m of the opinion that all of the yummy naughty food (mini pancakes, lamingtons) combined with the colourful healthy food (fruit, steamed broccoli/carrots) actually encourages kids to consume their healthy snacks. Our two lunchboxes come home empty.They come in several fun colours, are completely leakproof and unlike other bento boxes, come with an ice tray that never leaves condensation on the food. If ever there was to be a crumb of a buscuit leftover, it remains as crispy as the moment I first placed it in the Bentgo box.

My 3 year old daughter put her box in the freezer for maybe an hour. When she took it out and tried to open it the divider dish cracked. We have had 3 of these boxes for a couple of years now but lately have really started using them. I was very disappointed. I got on their website to attempt to purchase a replacement box and read that they advertise as freezer safe. What? We just used it in the freezer and it cracked. Before I ordered a replacement I called customer service and they are issuing us a new one. I’m shocked and very thankful!

We’ve been using Bentgo boxes for three years now and our collection has grown over the years. So far, not one has broken or looks faded. My oldest Bento box started getting some discolouration years later and I reached out to Bento and they were quick to respond with tips on getting rid of the stain and were more than willing to send a replacement if all else failed.My husband was a bit apprehensive at first buying an expensive box for a toddler but he’s fully sold now and we don’t opt for any other brand anymore.

We already loved the original Bentgo boxes, and had three for my daughter. Now my son is going to start preschool and we needed to start the collection of non-feminine colors lol. I love that the ice try snaps in and out. I feel like it’ll do a better job of keeping the food cool. We bought this during a back to school sale, but I’ve paid full price for others, and would do it if necessary.
The Bentgo Chill lunchbox is the most amazing addition to your child’s lunch needs! The 4 compartments keep everything sealed away from each other. My daughter loves to pack tuna and make her own sandwich. The Built in ice pack keeps everything chilled, so I never have to worry about a spoiled lunch. It’s perfect for yogurts, and cottage cheese. The lunch box is a little on the heavier side, but my daughter is 5 and in PreK and handles it just fine! You can take it on its own or put it in a lunch pale! No longer any waste with plastic bags or individual packed snacks! So great for the environment. Home made lunchable!

Does not keep items separated. My kids food leaks throughout the box. The first day we tried yogurt in one of the compartments and it ended up on all of the rest of the food. The next day we tried mandarin orange pieces, drained from the juice, which also leaked into other compartments. I have two of these boxes and they both leak. Horrible product, don’t buy.
This bentgo chill lunchbox is the perfect size (not too deep/big food compartments) for my toddler in primary school (ages 2-5) daily lunches. It does not leak. It is easy to clean the main lunchbox part and the food compartment tray by putting them on the top shelf inside the dishwasher. The freeze tray I just hand wash. I love the concept of the lunchbox staying cold for 6 hours, but I don’t believe it really keeps cold for that long; it’s more like 3-4 hours. We already had the hot pink one, now we finally were able to receive the light purple one (after it’s been sold out for almost 3 months). I wish they offered a light pink color, and a bigger size for elementary kids say ages 6-9.

Bought two of these. One green and one red. I can testify that they definitely keep food cold for at least 3 hours (but I also used outside ice packs) The reason for my 3 out of 5 star review is because the green one does not close as easily as the red one. I fear when my child goes back to school he won’t close it properly and I’ll have a mess to clean up. ALSO I think the bigger side is not big enough to hold a normal sized sandwich. Had to cut crust off and cut a sandwich into fours. Going to give the other Bentgo boxes a try
