I got the headphones on sale for around 200 bucks. Pro's are that they are comfortable, light, have good precision of highs and mids, and are made with good materials. Cons are that the sound wasn't all there compare to my other headphones, they are a little wide for my taste, no case, and the noise cancelation wasn't the best. Didnt have much connectivity problems, but the app and eq were lacklustering. Never gamed with them do to there not being a good mic and were not on pared to my sennheiser h6pros open acoustic with both sound and mic quality. But for 200 bucks its a consideration but not for 500.

The Bang & Olufsen Beoplay Portal is an exceptionally good headset, with excellent build quality, audio quality, noise cancellation, and microphone quality, especially if updated to the latest firmware version through the Bang & Olufsen companion application, which noticeably improves the microphone pick-up quality. One aspect that I have not seen mentioned in other reviews I have perused, and that many may not necessarily appreciate, is the pleasant smell of the genuine lambskin leather ear cushions, which may also help to neutralise any potential sweat odours. However, that being said, I personally do not feel that any headset, regardless of quality, is worth AUD$840-$880, which is the retail price of the headset in Australia. I purchased my pair at a significant discount, and I certainly do not regret the purchase, but I would advise any potential buyers to wait for a markdown to at least AUD$500 (or the relevant international equivalent), though preferably less; for while I love them, I would never have even considered purchasing them at anywhere near their exorbitant retail price.

Excellent sound quality for competitive gaming and also for music. Iâm a professional audio producer and the clarity and richness of this sound is one of the best Iâve experienced in a headset. This is the fourth headset Iâve tried for gaming and others donât even compare! Itâs incredibly accurate, and for gaming and film on the Xbox it has a included subscription to Dolby Atmos! I even test my final mixes on it. The hardware switches seamlessly between Xbox and iPhone / MacBook. When powered on, it immediately connects with you iPhone, and then holding down the other button connects to and powers on the Xbox console! Noise cancelling is great, and so is transparency. My brother has these two and absolutely loves them. Would 100% recommend.

Fantastic sound, connection is super fast and reliable, the beeps for settings changes are calm and never too loud. Super light on the head, I can wear them for hours with ease. The noise cancelling is great, ambient mode is a bit on the hissy side, but works quite well. Especially for the clearance price, these are absolutely worth it. At $500 they're more of a niche buy, but still deliver what they quote. Bass is good, treble isn't too sharp, and vocals sound clear. Gaming sounds are also well reproduced!
I bought this headset as part of a comparison for a replacement headset after my A50 G2s finally died. I bought these, A50 g4, and Arctis Nova Pro.These were by far the most comfortable and didn't get too hot over long periods, as well as having the best ANC and great battery life. But there was very little low end on these. Coming from the A50s it was super noticeable. I probably would have lived with it, but they then started breaking up and crackling quite a bit when only about a foot away from the receiver.Eventually this led to the Portals being returned. I stuck with the Nova Pro for a much wider EQ range when using their Sonar software, better range, and replaceable battery.
Perfect look and quality sound for business or gaming use, very happy with the headphones from that aspect.Unfortunately had an issue requiring warranty service, still have not received any response in regards to the repair almost 2 months after sending the product back for repair. In what world is sending an expensive premium pair of headphones in for warranty service and waiting this long acceptable? Can not recommend buying any products from this company based on the price and the lack of support you will receive.
The earcups are too small. I have only slightly above average ears and yet they go over my ears very slightly, so if I use them for longer than 30 minutes at a time, it hurts. With how seamless they connect with your phone, how sleek they look, and with the sound quality and everything, I was genuinely ready to keep these on 24/7, because they are an amazing pair of headphones.I'm one of the few maniacs that wanted a pair of low latency headphones for video editing, along with light gaming and this was that. This headphone was a dream come true- which was to have gaming headphones that weren't covered in RGB that I can wear outside of the house and on meetings. But apparently, someone at B&O's Design team decided to model this for a childs ear... I have fairly largish ears (68mm, only 5mm larger than average for a guy) so its absolutely unacceptable for those to just... Not fit. These are over ear, they have to fit over ears. It sucks. I don't know why no review mentions this, unless I just have comically large ears. For the love of god PLEASE if this company can make larger earcups... that would be a game changer. For now, I'm gonna have to return these and wait until another company tries something like this again. I'm seriously considering Van-Goghing my ears just so I can wear these. Extremely disappointed.
WAAAAY too expensive for mediocre headphones. Sound quality is good not great. App is good not great. Quality is ok not good. ANC is ok, reminds me of earbud ANC. Headphones Feels real cheap. On the other hand itâs pretty light so not bad wearing all day for gaming. Speaking of which, mic is horrible. If you donât plan on using it for chatting then they are good. Battery is not good as well. 12 hours max. Thatâs assuming you go 12 hour strait without stopping. I fully charged them over night, turned them on to play the next day and they had lost 17%. App showed they were at 83% when I started gaming at 5:45 by 2am they were at 20% and lowering by the minute. For $500 you can get the xbox counterpart headset with much better mic and battery and some higher quality headphones for less then $300.
-Microphone didnât pick up my voice clearly.-App doesnât work connect to the headphones. I reached out to BO support and âthey were aware of the issueâ. No solution was offered, and these have been on the market for some time.-Headphones are incapable of taking phone calls while playing XBOX.Good.-Best sounding headphones Iâve ever worn-Light-weightâŠ. Like super lightweight-Look cool.-Nice touch controls.-Itâs obvious they spent a ton of time on the little things.. like when it connects to the Xbox- the sound âthrobsâ with the Xbox logo light in sync when they first connect (letting you know that they have connectedâSadly, there are too many non starters for me. I will try this brand again, but have to return these.
If you're looking for gaming headphones, please do not buy these. The fact that i have to access the app just to switch connection to my xbox sucks; why isnt it automatic? Not to mention it takes me almost 10 minutes just to get them to connect to the xbox because I have to repeatedly reboot the headphones until it finally works! The headphones cant even simultaneously connect to your phone and xbox like some others do. For $500 these are just terrible. Sound quality isnt even that great unless youre listening to music through your phone. What I can say is that they are comfy and look good as well. Mic quality is also ok.
