I would tell anyone that is into Gundam and the models to have this into there collection. It is iconic and holds up for being such an old kit.

Be aware, its huge.

Its so satisfying to build a mega size gundam, it doesnt have that much flexibility just like a HG but I dont really mind. It looks great even just standing straight.

I was debating which PG kit to get as I never built one before, and I wanted to at least try one before I take a long break from Gunpla. Well this kit didn’t disappoint. I loved the phased building, in that you can really appreciate all the detail that goes into phase of the building process, from the inner frame, truss placement, and finally the armor pieces. Each time a phase is finished, the figure looks great, and I felt a little disappointed knowing that I would have to cover up the figure in a later phase. This was a good experience building my first Perfect Grade. Just be careful when working with the pre-assembled frame parts, which include the arms, legs, and waist. The instructions tell you that once cut, these pieces should be rotated a certain way to continue with the next step in. However, these pieces were sometimes hard to rotate initially after being cut from the runner. I was lucky for the most part, and the pieces were able to rotate without breaking the piece. However, when I got to the waist, when I turned the side piece, it ended up cracking. In the end, I was still able to continue building the waist even though a piece of it broke off, but this is just a lesson to be extra careful with this kit. With its high price, it’s better to just take it slow and easy, which allows you to savor the experience.

Great build

This is an awesome build! Instructions are easy to follow along. If you regularly build Gunpla you can knock this out in an hour or two. It's just a really big High Grade. Not much articulation but good color separation and really good build quality.

The cheapest PG kit of RX-78 Gundam I found. Also because it was on offer. Great shipping protection. The kit came in top condition.

The very first Perfect Grade Gundam that's still more than worthy to build.
15 July 2019

The very first Perfect Grade model, but it still rocks. If you are starting with building the PGs then look no further than this one. Even if you don't paint the inner frame, or put the stickers on, its still nice to look at. Even though its not as agile as newer parts. The print quality got bumpy over the years, though, but nothing that isn't manageable. I recommend watching the Citrus' video of building it, since its the one that convinced me to buy one. Looked really fun to build, not having to use the glue with these was one of the main selling points.
