I was excited to try the Philips Avent Ultra Soft Pacifier for my 9 month old because she wasn’t enthused with the 6mo+ size of her normal pacifier brand. My daughter basically picked her favorite pacifier from birth when I gave her several to try and she rejected all but one brand. She has been content with those pacifiers until we upgraded to the 6 months+ size which she actually doesn’t like much. I offered her the Philips Avent Ultra Soft Pacifier 6-18m and watched to see what happened. At first she wasn’t interested, and then maybe the fourth time offered she accepted it. I saw her actually pick the new pacifier up over her old ones. I think the Philips Avent pacifier fits her mouth better as it’s not as large as the other brand. And I feel good about giving it to her because it’s an orthodontic paci and BPA free. When I first opened the container of pacifiers, I followed the easy instructions to sanitize in the microwave after cleaning them (a quick rinse with warm soapy water; I use unscented soap). The line to fill the water on the container is convenient so no measuring is required. 3 mins to sanitize and 5 minutes to cool down. We didn’t have to wait much longer than the 5 mins after to use them, at most 10 mins. The case is also convenient for throwing in my purse for on the go use. Of course we aren’t going many places these days, but it’s a nice feature to have for Dr visits and essential travel/trips out to keep the paci sanitary on the go.The design is very cute, and the colors are nice. They aren’t too heavy, and the little handle is easy for my infant to grab. I’d definitely like some glow in the dark ones for night time! The shield has not bothered my daughters skin at all, no irritations so I know it’s made of gentle materials. Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this pacifier.

These Philips Avent Ultra Soft pacifiers are literally the cutest.Right off the bat I loved the pink princess design and the muted lavender swan design, they were very unique and very girly. I also loved the packaging!! These pacifiers come in a plastic case that doubles as a microwave sterilizer and a carry case to keep the pacifiers clean! I absolutely loved the sterilizer feature and used that right away to clean the pacifiers. When I followed the directions (filled to the line with water and microwave for 3 minutes on high) the pacifiers came out of the case clean and there was no water stuck inside the nipple which was great. After trying to give these pacifiers to my baby, and them consequently falling on the floor I hand washed them with soap and water and ... MoreThese Philips Avent Ultra Soft pacifiers are literally the cutest.Right off the bat I loved the pink princess design and the muted lavender swan design, they were very unique and very girly. After trying to give these pacifiers to my baby, and them consequently falling on the floor I hand washed them with soap and water and the pacifier nipple did trap water inside which was somewhat difficult to get out so the pacifier could dry, I did find though if I lightly flicked the nipple enough the water emptied out.As well as the cute designs and the case I liked the fact that these pacifiers have a smaller shield with more air flow so it doesnt cover as much of her face, it's also very smooth and didnt seem to trap a bunch of drool between the pacifier and her face which I liked. The reason I had to give 4 stars instead of 5 was because although I am a big fan of these pacifiers, my daughter was not. She uses Philips Avent bottles so I thought there was a good chance she would like these pacifiers well, but that wasn't the case. Each time I would offer her these pacifiers she would take them out of her mouth after a minute or two and just play with them with her hands. It didn't matter if I offered it at nap time, when she was in her swing, or when she was just hanging out, she just didnt want to suck on these for more than a couple minutes. My daughter normally uses the larger round silicone pacifiers and in comparison it appears that the Philips Avent Ultra Soft Pacifier have a shorter, flatter, nipple, but they are still a silicone material.Even though my daughter didnt like these I would still reccomend them. Although we didnt get much use out of these pacifiers, they seem to be good quality, the designs are absolutely adorable, and the carrying case/sterilizer makes cleaning a breeze! I feel like since finding the perfect pacifier your child loves is definitely a process of trial and error, it's worth giving these a shot.Thank you to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing us with these pacifiers and allowing my daughter to try them out!

The fact that the case doubles as a sterilizer is awesome - I have a sterilizer machine but I don’t always feel like filling it with distilled water and running it for just 1 or 2 pacis and then having to clean it. You also don’t have to hold on to the packaging because the sterilization instructions are printed on the case. It even has a water line measure on the case so you don’t have to find a measuring cup to fill it. And once the pacis are clean, you can keep them clean by storing in the case. The whole sterilization process is easy, all you need is a little water and a microwave.I also appreciate that its made of silicone, BPA free, and comes in attractive colors. After testing for over a week, the one downside to the design that I’ve found is that the handle opening is big and my son can easily slip his fingers in there while I’m inserting the paci in his mouth and then sling it if I don’t get the handle down. Even with this, these are now our favorite pacis and I plan to buy more of these.I was given this pacifier at no cost to try as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel.

I was given the Philips Avent Ultra Soft Pacifiers to try as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel. My 6 month old son uses a pacifier almost all day, every day. He is also teething, so he is drooling A LOT. There have been many occasions that I have had to apply skin protectants to his face because of irritation and redness caused by pacifiers excessively rubbing on his skin while he is drooling. The Philips Avent Ultra Soft Pacifier has solved the issue of my son having irritated skin from the excessive drool and rubbing pacifier combination. There are holes on the outer rim that make it more breathable than other pacifiers. He will use the pacifier if it is given to him, but he would still prefer the rounded nipple over the flat nipple.I typically use either hot water and soap or the dishwasher to clean pacifiers. This set came with a case that not only stores the pacifiers to keep them clean, but also doubles as a container to easily sterilize the pacifiers! I love how convenient and functional the case is - it makes sterilizing on the go a breeze! Another great feature about the case is that the instructions for sterilizing on printed on the case itself, so you never have to question whether or not you are doing it correctly.I would definitely recommend this pacifier set to any parent that has a child who suffers from sensitive or irritated skin relates to drooling! Thanks again to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with the Philips Avent Ultra Soft Pacifiers to try out!
As a new mom to a 9-week old baby, I quickly discovered that my son - like all babies - is very picky when it comes to pacifiers! Before receiving the Philips Avent Ultra Soft pacifiers I had tried only a couple brands with him, because once one stuck there was no reason to buy more. I approached this Philips Avent pacifier with the mindset that there was a good chance he would reject it, but hey - maybe we'd get lucky and it would miraculously become his new favorite! The thing I noticed right away was the travel case (which doubles as a sterilizer) that the pacifiers come in. I mean, how cool is that?! Babies love to eject pacifiers, so being able to quickly and easily clean & sterilize them is important. I mean, how cool is that?! Babies love to eject pacifiers, so being able to quickly and easily clean & sterilize them is important. With the Philips Avent Ultra Soft pacifiers all you have to do is fill the case with water up to the fill line, place the pacifiers in it (nipple down), and microwave for three minutes. Voila! This is truly the best part for me. It's so convenient to store the pacifiers in the case when you're out of the house with baby, and gives you peace of mind that they can be sterilized in a pinch if necessary.A key aspect to this pacifier is the claim from Philips Avent that your baby will experience fewer skin marks and less irritation. This is due to the soft, flexible shield that moves with baby's face. The shield is still fairly firm, but definitely more flexible than other pacifiers I have tried. The silicone texture is nice and soft on baby's face. My son struggles with drool rash, leaving him with sensitive skin, but this pacifier has certainly lived up to the claims and not left a single mark!So overall I am pleasantly surprised by the Philips Avent Ultra Soft pacifiers, and happy to report that my son loves them! They stay in his mouth for hours! The only con so far (which truly isn't even one) is that they are hard to see at night against my baby's white crib sheets. It would be nice to have some darker color options for when it inevitably gets popped out during sleep. The soft shield and super convenient sterilizer/travel case are the reason I love this pacifier and will recommend it to all parents looking for a new pacifier for this baby! Five stars and four thumbs up from baby and me!I was given this pacifier to try out as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel.

My daughter did pretty well with this product it had a similar nipple design to the off brand pacifier that she has shown a preference for. The design is nice and did help her skin stay a bit dryer and she has not had any issues with irritation up to now so I do not know if it would help keep her skin from being as irritated or chapped. The flexible shield was nice as it made it more pleasant for me cause the edge was not pressing into my skin when I would cuddle her cause it would bend a little and was made of softer material. The nipple on the pacifier was a little tougher than the one she was using but with encouragement she would take it. The design is nice but with the flexible rubber shield the pacifier is a bit heavy which I think is why my daughter did not take to it as well as the lighter weight one she was used to using. We used the carrying case to keep the other for back up "Binky" clean and ready to use. I loved the case for use to sterilize the pacifiers I even used it to sterilize my older daughters pacifier after she dropped it in the sandbox. Overall the design is good my daughter still prefers the lighter weight pacifier which reappears from time to time thanks to my other daughter but she uses these with little difficulty and we will continue to use them and the carrying case to sterilize and keep them clean.
I was fortunate enough to receive the Philips Avent ultra soft pacifiers from the Stellar Product Testing Panel for an honest review. And let me just say that I was very pleased to receive them and to actually have my daughter like them! My daughter has been very picky with pacifiers since birth. We’ve had a few but she’s never really took interest in them despite my efforts in trying to get her to use one since she likes to have something in her mouth to self soothe. And I don’t really like her using her thumb as she had up until now. Upon receiving the ultra soft pacifiers, I washed and sanitized them and used the same carrying case they came in. Such a lifesaver honestly because you can just pop them in the microwave really quick and viola! You have a clean paci again. And of course the case is the perfect size to toss in the diaper bag without being bulky. One other thing I’d like to mention is that I noticed that when I washed and sanitized them, I noticed no water got into the nipple as I’ve noticed with other similar ones I’ve had in the past. That’s a huge plus for me because I worry about it completely drying. I offered it to my daughter and really enjoyed the nice soft texture they had. Extremely flexible too since my daughter is teething right now and loves to chew on everything. It has 3 ventilation holes on each side that help in keeping her mouth dry since she is drooling quite a bit these days. And to my surprise she really enjoys them. I love them because that keeps her thumb out of her mouth and she’s soothing herself to sleep! Overall I would definitely recommend these pacifiers because they’re super soft and the design helps keep her mouth dry. And because no water gets into the nipple when you wash them so you know nothing could potentially grow.
If you're a parent to a paci-lover, you know the drawer in your kitchen that serves as the Pacifier Graveyard, where all the different pacis you tried (unsuccessfully) to introduce to your little pacimonster go to rest. Our drawer has, literally, 8 different brands in it. And I can truly say this particular paci, the Phillips Avent Ultra Soft, stands out from the rest. While I'm so glad it was provided to me by the Stellar Product Testing Panel, I'm speaking honestly here, as this isn't the first Phillips Avent pacifier we've tried (although it's definitely our favorite). It's an exceptionally well-made pacifier -- the designs were adorable, and the shield was soft and flexible. My daughter usually wakes up with an outline around her mouth like she's trying to grow a goatee; this one would leave her cheeks just as un-imprinted as when she fell asleep. She has pretty sensitive skin too, but I had no worries about this causing any irritation. We only use orthodontic pacis, so this fit the bill there too. And the carrying case is brilliant -- we LOOOOOVE the Phillips Avent cases because they fit a few pacis (which makes them great for overnight adventures where we need more than one!) and that it doubles as a sanitizer means one less thing to worry about bringing. We always boil pacis before the first use, and use soap and water after each day, but then sanitize them again every couple weeks, and this case makes that a snap, so much faster and more efficient than boiling a pot of water for them every time.Ultimately, though, I'm not the one who picks pacis, and unfortunately my daughter didn't take to this one. I'm sad about that, but I guess the heart wants what it wants, and this wasn't the right feel for my baby -- but if your baby isn't tied to a brand yet, this is a phenomenal pick to try out.
I am excited to share feedback on our review of The Philips Avent Ultra air maximum airflow pacifier. This product we are reviewing was provided by weespring parent panel. Being a mother of six children under 12 ranging between 5 months to an 11 year old I can definitely give this type of pacifier a five star! With lots and lots of experiences with pacifiers Philips Avent is one of my top favorites due to the ease of acceptance love my baby. My youngest baby at just five months was born with an overbite therefore had an extremely difficult time latching to pacifiers and accepting just any pacifier. His very first Pacifier that he loved and accepted was the Philips Avent Ultra Soft. The very first thing I did was open up the package and use the Berlin Station carrying case included to sterilize these pacifiers in the microwave for 3 minutes , I then took them out and I let them cool for 5 minutes before allowing baby to latch onto them . I have also used boiling water method in letting the pacifier sit for five minutes in boiling water this also sterilises these pacifiers .This pacifier Philips Avent Ultra air with maximum airflow has significantly improved compared to the Ultra Soft pacifier. One of the big differences is that it has four extra large holes in the shield that allows maximum air flow for a baby sensitive skin. It also comes with a case that allows you to sterilize a pacifier in boiling water or inside the microwave which is a plus and also serves as a carrying case in order to maintain your pacifiers clean and away from Debris inside your diaper bag or your purse. What I really love about this type of pacifier is that it has four extra large holes near the baby's chin and lips which allows maximum air flow that prevents saliva from just sitting there and irritating my baby skin! This is a plus in a significant change compared to the Philips Avent Ultra Soft. The orthodontic nipple itself is very soft and perfect for baby's mouth. The rim on the pacifier is also very soft to touch and smooth. Nipple acceptance was quick for this type of pacifier for my son. I will highly highly recommend this new type of pacifier Philips Avent maximum Ultra air flow to other moms. Only one con that I can say about this excellent wonderful pacifier is that if it had a plush attached to it to comfort baby it would be a big 5 * + + +! I was very happy when I first tried these pacifiers. After the 0-3 month soothie, I was having a hard time finding a pacifier my son would take until this one. He actually loved this one. My only issue is that when I went to sterilize it I realized that water was getting trapped in the nipple after sterilizing and after my son was using it, which is a concern due to possible mold/bacteria growth. I even went and bought another pack just in case the first ones I bought were defective, but they did the same thing.
