I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE this stuff. My daughter was born with very sensitive skin. She basically breaks out from anything. So this stuff helped my daughter's skin when nothing else helped. She's now 9 months and this stuff is my go to when she has a flare up. It's so sensitive and soothing it calms the skin on impact its really amazing how fast this stuff works but its the best out here for sure. And the price is also great. Definitely a recommend for mother's with babes who have sensitive skin.
Recently bought this for perioral dermatitis and it is amazing! Let me start by saying, I have extremely sensitive skin! My face reacted poorly to a new product that left my skin scaly, red, and bumpy. I bought this because of the reviews and I trust Aveeno to have calming properties. This product did the trick to heal my perioral dermatitis and then some! I will say, I expected a different consistency before I bought it (think petroleum jelly) but nevertheless, this product worked to heal my skin issues. I’ve actually still been using it at night (for about two weeks now) because I haven’t had a bad reaction to it at all and feel like it’s doing a good job with whatever it’s doing to my skin. My skin has never looked better. Thanks Aveeno!
Be careful. Using colloidal oatmeal on the skin of and eczema-prone baby can cause oatmeal allergies. It happened to us without warning. If your very young child has eczema, be careful. Perhaps this is soothing at first but my baby now breaks out when eating oatmeal. We started this before solids. This goes for every brand that uses oatmeal. Rubbing it into the skin caused an extra allergen in my child. Do not recommend for babies.
My son had a bad flare up on his face and body this winter. We tried everything but this was the only stuff that saved his skin. His trunk and limbs are almost healed, but his face is needing extra time due to being constantly sick. The small tubs are perfect for sending to daycare. Daycare is NASTY and you have no idea how clean their fingers are after putting them in the tub. I buy a few of these at a time and give the Daycare lady a fresh one each week. We also keep a separate one at home. I find that using the Aveeno baby daily moisture every night on the body, with this layered after drying, does a really good job.
