Aveda Scalp Solutions Refreshing Protective Mist 100ml

My scalp tends to need a mid-week refreshment because I often wash my hair once a week to preserve its color. Since I go to the gym daily, sweat and grime tends to build up on my scalp, making it itchy and uncomfortable. I love this protective mist for a mid-week refresher. It helps my scalp feel clean, fresh, and balance the oils. My hair feels healthier and stronger since I started incorporating it into my routine. I love the easy to use spray nozzle and how easily it spritzes onto the scalp. This is a definite must-have for anyone who needs to regularly refresh their scalp and hair but doesn't have time to wash it! It's a great partner to my dry shampoo to keep my hair from getting greasy and my scalp from getting itchy. I highly recommend it! Gifted by Aveda.

Mixed feelings about this one! First off, the spray nozzle is designed to concentrate the application of product in specific areas, which is great for scalp products. Regular misters just don't do the job! Secondly, the product controls oil on the scalp very well; my scalp normally starts feeling greasy after just 12 hours, but my scalp felt balanced for 48 hours after using this product. Unfortunately, this product leaves a residue on hair that doesn't look greasy but feels oily. It's impossible to apply this product to just my scalp with as much as hair as I have, so the residue is an unavoidable side-effect.

This product is EXACTLY what I needed to reduce scalp oiliness the day after shampooing. Although I am 64 years old, I still have an oily scalp............ BUT my natural platinum & silver hair is getting drier. So, I have cut down on the frequency of shampooing and have been using Aveda dry shampoo in-between regular shampoos to absorb excess oil. It also provides the Shampure aroma I love, but it sometimes gives my hair a bit of a matte look. This WONDERFUL new product allows me to keep the natural brilliance of my senior hair intact while holding "the greasies" at bay.
