The ingredients: lots of botanicals, no silicones, plenty of good stuff. The texture: completely unlike most other conditioners I've used before. It's like a watered down thin gel! If you're not used to a silicone-free conditioner this will probably take some getting used to. The aroma: refreshing, zingy and uplifting. After a long, hot day I can't imagine anything more refreshing than massaging this into my scalp under a cool shower. It gives that 'tingling' sensation, pretty similar to my Briogeo scalp treatment but thankfully a lot less intense! The results: I wouldn't say the conditioning effects are amazing but they are decent enough, despite this being more geared towards fine/normal hair (mine being quite thick), my hair is less frizzier, more manageable but ... Yes it takes some getting used to, this is not your typical conditioner and definitely won't be to some people's liking. Unlike the matching shampoo, this hasn't caused me any itching or other problems. -- My Top 10 Beauty Must-Haves

I try very hard with beauty products to be conscientious of subjective factors and not leave harsh ratings based on those. Just bc something isn’t my preference doesn’t make it a quality issue. That said, this conditioner is the first Aveda product to seriously disappoint me. It performs poorly and smells awful. It’s like the aroma of menthol scented window cleaner Elmer’s glue. The fact that it also looks exactly like glue coming out of the bottle and plops into your palm with the same consistency as glue doesn’t help either! Mostly though, it’s just inadequate. The function of conditioner is to restore moisture lost while shampooing, and this one fails to do that.I want to add that the shampoo is NOT like this. The aroma is intense, but not chemical. ... Unfortunately, bc the pleasant minty scent can’t be continued w/ the conditioner, there is no point choosing it over equally effective more affordable clarifying shampoos.

I've used Aveda's Rosemary Mint Conditioner for years. And years and years. I occasionally use another product (often another Aveda Product) just to change things up a bit -- maybe every few weeks or so -- but always come back to this one. It's done my fine, thin, long, straight hair very well, keeping it healthy-looking through all seasons and in all sorts of weather conditions: from sunny, wind-swept beaches of Florida to snowy, windy hiking trails in Montana. Rosemary Mint is my perfect conditioner.Note: I've colored my hair -- all-over color from a box from the drugstore as well as highlights and lowlights done by a professional stylist -- and never had any problems with color fade. I let my hair dry naturally, almost never use a blow dryer.

A lovely lightweight yet effective conditioner. This works well on my scalp as the conditioner calm my itchy burning scalp. It really goes in hand with the shampoo.Unsure as to when these products were released on the market but please do not discontinue products that actually work.Thank You
My hairdresser told me to use this then add my purple shampoos for silver, grey or blonde hair to keep my hair toned cool and silvery. It was too harsh. Instantly, making my hair brittle & dry. It would probably be a good shampoo if you had lots of build up and super oily hair. I hated the smell which seems medicinal to me.
I have used this conditioner for years but the new formulation is awful. I have complained and had a refund but why ruin a perfectly good product? The new formulation is slimy and does not rinse out easily even if only a small amount is used. Hair quickly goes limp after washing so clearly the conditioner has not come out adequately . There was nothing like this with the old formulation. Time for a rethink Aveda as none of these recent reviews are favourable.
I have used this for years for my extremely long hair (until I recently donated a long length to charity, it was down to my mid-thighs). It's a lovely light conditioner and smells wonderful, easily releasing any knots or tangles in my hair. A little goes a long way so the litre bottle lasts ages!I will continue to use it with my hair now shoulder-length.
The shampoo and conditioner smell lovely, and the cool feeling they give on your scalp would be nice in the summer. However, if your hair is even the slightest bit dry, then this is not for you at all, as it is just too astringent and drying. Possibly ideal if you have oilier hair/scalp, as the freshness would be great. Sadly my hair is too dry for it, but my husband is enjoying using it up!

I purchased this shampoo after I read some great reviews and it seemed to tick all the boxes. I have dark thick hair and a sensitive scalp, my hair goes oily after one day of not washing it and as a result I've end up washing my hair every single day which irritates my scalp.I decided to slowly reduce the amount of hair washing and give this shampoo a try. I found this shampoo helped reduce scalp itch and provide oil control even the day after washing (no dry shampoo required). I wasn't expecting the noticeable results to happen so soon after less than one week but I'm very impressed and happy I gave this shampoo a try.The peppermint scent is so relaxing and soothing on the scalp I'll be sure to re-purchase :)
