Your internet specifications were 1600 hight of pole when Rotary section was at its lowest level.When the rotary foldaway line was delivered it was 1700 according to the instructions.So, guess who is hanging out the items on the outer lines ….The line was inserted with the bar set at the lowest level and the pole set to exact specifications . I was going to buy another 'Hills' clothesline but read far to many bad reviews about them. Researched and found the 'Austral' brand which seemed to have a lot of good reviews. Those good reviews were a great help and we decided to buy an Austral. So glad we did as its a great purchase, very happy with it. Easy to use and very sturdy.

So far good. Relatively easy to install. The highest setting is pretty high but helps to have a tall husband and slightly sloping land. We haven’t needed to fold up and remove yet so can’t say how easy this step is. We bought a green colour which is fine but would have preferred green lines also rather than grey. Our clothesline took a while longer than suggested for delivery. A phone call helped to get things moving at the Austral end it seems.

After few line changes on my 30+ years old clothesline which broke again, I decided time to get a new replacement. What Austral produced was to my satisfaction. Besides a choice of colour to compliment with the colorbond fence and fascia board/gutters of the house, it was easy to install. The Austral pole was the same diameter of the old one therefore used the old round socket and capping. No drilling into sandstone and also no time wasted on stringing the line as it is fully assembled. Fully recommend Austral foldaway.
Sale was on and cheaper than bunnings (which included delivery). Was originally looking to purchase hills nrand from bunnings. But came across simply clotheslines that had a sale. I wanted the Austral as it is Australian made compare to hills that is made in China. The sale made it good value and gave me the oppurtunity to purchase tge Austral brand. Delivery was convenient and reasoably quick during covid times. Would recommend checking out the simply clothesline website and compare if you are looking to purchase a clothesline.

In all honesty, I wasn't very happy with the range of clotheslines currently available - they are simply not built like the old Hills Hoists.I wanted the fixed in the ground rotary clothesline, but my husband was adamant that a fold away one would be better.It arrived quickly and looks nice. Although, online it claims to have a 20 year warranty, but in the box, there is only a 10 year warranty provided, which made me feel ripped off.The clothesline itself hangs clothes like it should, but the lines are very close together. It's significantly smaller than our old clothesline. Basically, they've just added an extra row of clothesline between the first 2 rows, instead of adding more size to the clothesline. That middle row is completely useless - they clothes are too close together to dry unless it is a scorching summer day. Plus, the clothes get tangled together as they are in each other's way as soon as there is a breath of wind.I'll need to wash more often during the week, as I no longer have the line space to wait until I have a bigger load of washing. So an extra couple of loads a week will have an impact on our water consumption.We have a Queen sized bed, and they sheets fit absolutely fine, however, I really don't think you would fit a King sized sheet on here.Other than that, it'll do the job. Just wish it were bigger and the lines were further apart. Also confused about the 20 year warranty that was promised?
Great clothesline - replaced our old one (same model) after almost 20 years (and kids swinging on it). Recommended. Parts easily available if needed. Great range of colours too.
I love my brand new Austral 51 Rotary Clothesline. It was very easy to install and the online video made it so straightforward. Lifestyle were very easy to deal with and they promptly answered all of my questions. I have gone from a clothesline that was mounted on the wall, which was too high to reach, didn't have enough line space to hang my sheets and took ages for my clothes to dry, to a clothesline that easily does all of the bedding plus at least 3 loads of washing. I can adjust the height, my clothes dry in no time at all and they smell so fresh. This is what I consider to be washing day perfection!
I'm delighted with my new clothesline. I resisted and resisted buying a new one because even though my old one looked very sad, it still worked. Then sadly my old one decided not to wind up any more and the decision was made to buy a new one.I now wish I'd bought this new clothesline years ago. It looks great and is so easy to operate if I need to fold it up and move it away.
I bought my Austral almost 27 years ago and it’s as solid as day one. Three children, a dog, an Airbnb and thousands of loads of laundry later, it’s still going strong. Canada’s boiling, humid summers and frigid winter frosts..nothing affects my Austral. Sheets off the line on a summer’s day…nothing better. I would highly recommend this clothes line.
