Didn’t think twice about its location until I started mounting the motherboard. The 2 sata ports are now in the worst location as they are right next to the power supply case. A extension so that the card is away from the power supply enclosure would be nice if that’s even possible.

Great motherboard with plenty of I/O. I don't use the gaming hub part that comes out, but it does work perfectly. The great thing about going for an X670E board is the future upgrade compatibility. PCIe 5.0 on the PCIe and bottom M.2 slot will prepare you for future hardware to come. The build quality and packaging quality is great, as you would expect when paying almost $500 for a motherboard. In all, if you have the means to buy one of these, you should, as it comes with all the features and I/O you can think of

I bought this motherboard a month ago. It's quite loaded with decent I/O, good VRMs, and M.2 compatibility. Be careful about which CPU cooler you get because the heatsinks on this board are big. Minor complaints: there's no clear CMOS button so you have to short pins on the board (frustrating for playing with overclocking/undervolting) and the fans on the board are quite loud when they spin up. Other than that I've been very happy.

Had board for 3 months and now it won’t even post.

I had bought this board on December 13th of 2022 and it has now as of march 24th completely died. It won’t even post at all. I had started the ram process but since this is the only board for mini it’s max with the ports I need I had to buy another one in the meantime another 500 gone. Thanks Asus. I wish I could just return the old board for a full refund since it seems like this is a common issue and Asus seems to not even care.

first of all, I am a huge Asus ROG fan. My entire gaming setup including monitors, chair, and everything else, is Asus ROG. this card has issues. The card sometimes sees the NVMe SSD in the top slot and sometimes doesn't. It is fine for two hours and then when it is off for two hours and turns on, it says there isn't a "bootable drive" and only shows the second NVMe. i bought a Samsung pro and I switched out the older samsung I had completely out. I put the one it was recognizing before to the top slot and put the new one to the lower slot (5TH gen). installed windows and everything, and seemed fine. come back the morning after, and again it doesn't see the bootable drive. I hate this motherboard
20 December 2022

I've been struggling with this motherboard for the last 30 days, stability is horrible its about 50/50 chance this thing will boot on any given occasion. Boot up time is super long, seems like it checks memory every boot for about 30+ seconds. Ive tried 3 different ram kits and they are all unstable, the last bios update helped a little bit but its still super unstable.I have a 2nd Asus X670e motherboard with the same 7700x CPU and I have none of these issues so its def isolated to this motherboard. its way to expensive to be this unstable. ASUS should be ashamed of releasing this thing its condition, and I know its not isolated to me as many internet searches show other owners experiencing similar issues.

Loads of features, plagued with issues

Similar to other reviewers I had issues with stability and long memory check times during boot. Running at anything outside of stock speeds, including AMD Eco-Mode, caused the system to become extremely unstable. The motherboard would also take 30+ seconds to POST every time the system started up, and during that time the VRM fan is spinning at MAX SPEED. Updating the BIOS didn't resolve any issues. This is the only AM5 ITX motherboard with USB 4 support, and for that reason I wanted to love it. But I couldn't justify keeping it in its current state. Asus customer support was not helpful and only recommended reinstalling Windows and RMA'ing the board to resolve my issues. Fortunately it's optional, but there is no onboard rear audio ports without it.

The perfect motherboard for USB 4, ITX, and AM5.

I bought this motherboard because it ticked all my boxes: USB 4 with a Thunderbolt 4 controller, AM5, mini ITX. I was confused when I couldn't find an HD-Audio header, but the Realtek audio controller included in the box more than made up for the lack of the header for gaming and stereo media consumption. The included software works great for fan control, RGB control, and thermal monitoring. I paired this with a Ryzen 7600X in a SilverStone SUGO 16 with a Noctua NH-U12S. Even with an SFX PSU, it's a tight fit and the molex connectors were inaccessible with the cooler installed once the board was in the case, but it did not impede my build. The M.2 slots are accessible and easy to find, and the AM5 installation was painless. Then my third issue doing a review on this board at Asus, they sent me email telling to redo review ( which is legal to ask customers to do so ). I love Asus always been fan of them but this will be my last one with them..
