Ardell Brow Tint - Dark Brown

I used to have perfect eyebrows -I never even had to shape them! In hindsight, I should have appreciated them more. My mom, a retired beauty professional, helped me do this the first time, as I had no clue what I was doing - turns out this is something I can do myself! It took about 15 minutes total for prep, application, sitting time, and removal. You mix a powder developer. Getting the mixture off places I didn't want it was a sinch with a q-tip. I was extremely relieved and pleased with the results. The difference is subtle and natural. It looks like my old brows are back (except for the southern relocation)! I can still enhance them if I want (I am digging powder for that right now) or leave them as-is for a completely natural look. I am not sure how long they last, yet. I will try to remember to update you on that and how the second application by myself goes. I had no sensitivity issues with this, though I would recommend you read the back about possible allergies allergic reactions. The only thing that could improve this product would be to include something in the kit to measure what needs to be mixed to ensure a precise mixture ratio and thereby optimum tinting. I will use it again and hope it will be my forever brow care. I recommend this for a natural-looking brow option. The top photo is after (ignore the broken blood vessel on my eyeball I woke up with[no clue why] and that I had just-out-of-the-shower-unbrushed brows) and the bottom is before. It brought out those nearly invisible brow hairs that old me now possess.

I've tried not many products from this brand but each one that I used was really good. I chose Soft black color because my natural eyebrows before treatment were soft brunette and it was necessary to cover some light coloured baby-brows and define brow shape better. All actions that I've done were according to the instruction and I really like the result. Of course brows became darker that natural but they're definitely not totally black. They're now dark brunette with cold enough undertone. Package size is also allow to use the product for very long time because I see the result even after 2 weeks.

Good

This is a good product. It will NOT create eyebrows or put color on a bald spot. I have light blonde hair and pretty light eyebrows, and I bought the color light brown. I do really like it because it makes my eyebrows darker and more visible, but I think I was expecting it to dye my little bald spots but it does not. But it still works for me! My eyebrows still look better than before, and it’s now easier to do my makeup because I only fill in the bald spots now instead of darkening my whole eyebrow. Light brown does have a slightly warm tone, so I wouldn’t recommend this color for people with platinum blonde hair and darker brows unless they are okay with a bit of warmness in their brows. For me, last for 2 weeks just like package states.

Great Brow Product

I started using this about a year and a half ago after a recommendation from a friend, and I couldn't be happier. I'm surprised by some of the reviews on here. First, be sure you mix the product well. If it's too thick and clumpy mix another drop or two of the liquid. There can me some small grainy bits in the mixture, but that's ok and it'll still work fine. Second, I use a makeup liner brush for application. This works much better than the spoolie and you have more control as you shape your brow with the product. I can go up to two weeks without filling in my brows and that's a win in my book.

Great tint!

This works well. I usually get my eyebrows tinted professionally when I get them waxed. I ordered the soft black and it works great! I have sparse spots and it stays on the skin and hair. I saw some people using an eye shadow or liner brush to apply. That way doesn’t work. Use the spoolie they provide and it works much better. After you apply, take a wet q-tip and wipe off any excess to the shape you want and leave on for 3-4 mins and wipe off. If it’s not dark enough you can redo. No burning or irritation. Love this.

Perfect brown tint

This product is great! It lasts a long time and makes my brows look great. Like any product there is some trial and error, so figuring out the ratio can be a bit tricky but once you get that down it’s a breeze. I lightly sketch my brow shape with my brow pencil and basically fill in the lines. If you want a lighter coverage go with the time listed on the box, I like my brows darker so I leave it on for about 10-15 minutes. This product isn’t normal dye, it’s henna so please remember that when you are using it. Hope this helps!

Pretty good, read for tips!

Here’s what I gathered: don’t use the spoolie they give you, use an eyeliner brush, paint it on like you would your brows. Buy a shade darker. I’m a blonde and I like medium brown brows, so I bought medium brown. It came out maybe dark blonde. Next time I’m getting dark brown. Use like four times the amount of developer they say to use. If it mixes and comes out sandy, add more developer. Leave on for like 15 minutes. Who knows if there’s actually 12 uses in here but even if I just get one use it’s cheaper than going to a salon. This is crazy cheap so my expectations are met for what I paid for.

Reallt great natural result

I did not know what to expect with this since I’ve never tried to dye my (mostly) blonde brows before. I am not ready to commit to a permanent solution, but also am tired of looking like I have no brows every time I wash my face or spend a day at the beach because inevitably whatever I use wears off. This went perfectly. I am shocked at how good my brows look. I usually use a taupe pencil and the light brown was a perfect match for me. My skin is fair and it did not discolor at all. I had no idea something over the counter could work this well. They look very natural on their own and then I can fill them in a little if I want a more dramatic look. Super happy with this purchase

Something has changes

I started issuing this product a year ago and I loved it! Once it was mixed, it gave me a creamy smooth product that could easily be applied. Also, a little bit goes a long way so I was able to get more than 12 applications out of one box. However, I just bought a new box a few weeks ago and I feel like something is different about the formula. Every time I mix it, it’s gets watery then clumps up instantly. I followed the mixing instructions multiple times. I’ve even wasted product by playing around with the ratios too. I’m not sure what has change but I don’t like it.

not really impressed!! so usually i use the "just for men" beard dye and it has never let me down. i wanted to try this though as i had heard good things about it. immediately everything seemed super organized and straightforward. but when mixing, the combination turned into this grainy blob of thick goop. it was super hard to work with and honestly kinda hurt to apply considering the little grainy particles. it just doesn't mix well at all. i definitely got a little nervous because of this and only left the dye on for less than 2 minutes. my brows are so dark in such a little bit of time when the box recommends 10 min. so honestly, no. i don't recommend you get this!! just save your money and get the beard dye, so much better. pretty disappointed:/
