This PowerHouse is a beast! I bought it to power more electronics in a blackout, and it's working like a charm! I can run my TV (60-65w) for 8 hours and my Wi-Fi router for far longer! It's definitely a bit heavier than most other power stations, but the power it puts out definitely makes up for it! I have the smaller 521 for charging mobile devices like phones and tablets, and this one can charge laptops as well as keep some others plugged in and running for hours! i Overall I am impressed with the PowerHouse 535 and can't recommend Anker products enough!

Better than Jackery 500 (Jan 2022). Maybe worse value compared to others?

Cpap testing for camping without solar panels. 2 nights.
18 July 2022

I bought this model specifically so I could use my cpap while car camping, maybe even canoe camping. I have an Air sense 11 cpap. Over an 8ish hour night the cpap uses around 210 watt hours. Accounting for the ~80% average battery capacity you should rely on from a power station, I expected to get around 410 actual watt hours from the 535 power house. I tested the power house for 2 nights on one full charge with my cpap. I was able to power my cpap for 2 nights, normal usage, on one full charge from the 535 power house. I'm impressed. This gives me a lot of freedom to camp without having to invest in solar panels yet. I only wish it could magically be lighter weight.

Don’t buy Anker
9 February 2023

Buying from Anker is my biggest mistake in purchase. My 535 had some problem in very light use of a year. I contacted customer’s service and was provided a replacement item after some hassles during communications. The replacement item that Anker sent me is in a horrible heavily used condition, with scratches everywhere, on the body and on the screen display. I am sure the replacement item had suffered quite a lot in its life, and have not much lifespan left in its battery. To any of you who are considering Anker, be aware! Some of their products might look like a good design, but Anker’s practice in customer service is horrible and I would recommend everyone to stay away from Anker if possible.

Great Portable Power Bank For Camping and Emergencies

So far this battery has proven to be the same.Tests:We ran it through two 3-day / 2 night trips to Tahoe skiing and car camping in our rooftop tent so far. It powered the large Dometic fridge no problem (easy in cold weather) but still working hard as we drive up to tahoe and home / with the car getting warm during the day, ran and charged two laptops for ~ 4 hours of work / movies each night, charged USB battery packs and head lamps, powered speakers and laptops on the drive to and from TahoeRan our large Dometic CFX3 95 Dual Zone cooler in our 25C / 77F house for about 46 hours set to 4C (note fridge was pre cooled, and filled with fridge temperature drinks before test - as is best practice for road trips etc) - good test for use in power outages, spring / fall camping etc.Upon unboxing, the battery was at 25% charge, and charged to full in ~ 4 hours with wall plugCharged with wall plug from 0% to 100% in ~ 4.5 hoursCharge with Wall Plug + USB C 0% to 100% in ~ 3 hoursRan a torture test boiling water on my portable induction stove and managed to get it to output up to 625W on the AC output (Not reccomended - manual states max 500W output) - but seems to handle up to 600W surge without issue - may handle shorter surges of higher power but needs more testingFuture Tests (To Be Updated):Running small heater or electric blanket during colder night snow camping in the roof top tentRunning installed interior lighting in the roof top tentRunning the fridge / electronics in camp in warmer temperatures as spring / summer comesSolar - I plan on testing this with my ridgid 200W solar panel on future camping tripsCharge / Discharge Rates I Saw:Charging rate with DC wall Plug = ~110 W (120W Max Theoretical)Charging rate with DC wall plug + USB C = ~165 W (185W Max Theoretical)Charging rate with USBC = ~ 55 W (60W Max Theoretical)Charging rate with Car DC Outlet - Car off = ~ 40W WCharging Rate with Car DC Outlet - Car Running = ~110 WAC Outlet Self Power Discharge = 4 W, Supposedly 90% efficiencyDC Outlet Self Power Disharge = 0 W, higher efficiency choice if you canPower Usage - LED Light = 4 WPower Usage - LED Light SOS = 2 WPositives:Only major portable battery brand using LiFePo batteries so far - superior battery chemistry for this application - even though the energy density is lower - the batteries last up to 6x more charge / discharge cycles (3000+ vs 500) making it a more durable / long lasting option, are less toxic, and are an inherently safer battery chemistry, and they are much more immune to fires / overheating issues that plague typical Lithium Ion batteries - so this is a huge plus moving the product category forward - critical for someone sleeping in / on their car.The Anker brand has been around a long time, has a wide portfolio of products including battery banks and has always had high quality standards, great warranty and support and have been super receptive to questionsThe battery bank has a wide selection of power outputs that can be toggled individually - 12 V Car Aux, 4 X 120 V AC, 3 x USB A and 1 x USB C (great for laptops etc)Flexible power input - AC power brick, 12V Car Aux, and wide voltage range MPPT solar input from 11-12V DC (120W Max)The screen is very well designed and informative - with indications of power input, output, what ports are active and warning signs if anything is wrongThe light bar is great and bright for general use around camp, much warmer and more usable light than the typical flashlight feature - with a very clever SOS light feature if you hold down the button for 2sThe 512 Wh capacity is a great middle ground for most people and will power most things you would ever need around camp for multiple days - and will allow you to be off grid with a properly sized solar panel. The general build quality is great, high quality materials (PC-ABS) and design, and the buttons are high quality / very tactile and satisfying to use, the rubber feet are generous and durable, has a good dust cap for 12V outputI was able to confirm with support that the electronics have a conformal coat to prevent moisture and dust damage so operating in a dusty environment should be fineThe battery bank came in very well designed packaging with zero damageThe battery can run AC appliances while still being charged - something my old Goal Zero could not handle due to poor isolationThe battery has a cooling fan inside will he helpful in hotter weatherAC Output selectable between 60 Hz and 50 Hz by holding the AC output button for 2sHad no issues running in the cold - as the unit heats up enough while it’s discharging in the car / away from wind. I haven’t tried a cold start / running it in exposed cold - but running it in my car with -10C outside was no issue over a few days.Negatives / Areas Of ImprovementThe handle is very tall / bulky - not ideal for car campers who are tight on space but is great and ergonomic for moving the unit around - I think there may be a better middle ground hereThe charging input is on the back of the unit, making it take up more space in the car for the wires on all sides - they should either ship with a right angle charging plug to save space or move the charging input to the frontIt would be great to have a battery cycle counter on the battery screen / sub menu to track how much it’s been used / lifetime estimateI’d like to see the front light be dimmable by holding down the light button similar to a headlamp. The battery life remaining while very useful for static loads, should average out the power draw and and give a better estimate for less static loads like coolers that only turn on intermittentlyThe energy saving mode switch is a little stiff and could be more tactileI’d love to see a more indication of when the inside of the battery is on the way to getting too hot / cold rather than static warnings when it’s already exceeded its limits so a user can take action without turning the unit offAfter using the battery for just over 2 weeks I’ve been solidly impressed with the hardware and design, and Anker support has been very responsive to my questions. I plan to update this review over time as the battery ages / and after running more / similar tests in summer conditions - especially camping during warmer summer days with the cooler.

Great product in a compact size.

Build quality and looks are what you see first with this product. I purchased as a back up for simple things around the house and for when I’m camping off grid to help spare the camper battery banks for more vital needs like heat and AC. This little pack is small but mighty. Powers the outdoor lights and recharges the phones for a long weekend away. And still has plenty of power left to keep going.Anker customer service has also been top notch. They helped with shipping issues and worked to make sure I was happy and impacted as little as possible. I’ll definitely be buying again from them.

Great!
24 July 2023

Great purchase! I got this 535 Power station to operate all my electronics on vacation and for general use around the house. I was worried at first that this would not operate a small coffee machine but to my surprise it does! The power station is a 500watt unit and my coffee machine ended up being 400watts(only a 6 cup percolator). This is all I need! I was able to charge all my devices, run a coffee machine(seperate due to wattage), and the station still has plenty of battery left. I highly recommend! I’m actually stoked as well because I have a mini fridge I’ll be running in my truck for an upcoming vacation and I’m very excited to see how this power station works with it! So far so good!

Perfect solution for CPAP use during camping
29 May 2023

Bought this specifically for use for my Resmed Airsense 11 CPAP machine (24V) for boondock or dry camping (camping without electric hookups). With the use of a DC power adapter for my unit, the PowerHouse 535 had 59% left after one night of use for 7h37min with humidifier settings on. With the humidifier settings off, the power station had 91% left after 7h28min of CPAP use. So without the use of the humidifier setting on a CPAP, this would be plenty for a week of camping. Great product.

I still have yet to test it with charging from my vehicle, as well as it's longevity but I will update it if there are any malfunctions or issues
