I have purchased this for a long trip. I am very impressed at the size and quality. It will be ideal for my trip. The zip cover on the inside of the top half makes it easy to pack and keep items in place. It appears to be well constructed and solid. We will see how it stands up to the airlines.I look forward to using this.

Great little suitcase - nice and light for solo travel, with a fairly unique design that makes it easy to spot in large groups or on a luggage carousel. Was slightly thinner than expected, but the case is taller and wider to accommodate the smaller depth of the case, and one side can expand as well.The interior components (i.e. the straps, divider etc) are all decent quality, but the exterior shell is prone to scratching as the plastic is a little soft/flexible. The upside of this is that the case is unlikely to crack or dent if dropped (as the material has some "give" to absorb any impacts), however this does mean the case starts to scuff right away, even on fairly short trips. If this bothers you, I'd recommend avoiding the pastel colours.

Unfortunately, the first time I used my case, when I collected it off conveyor belt in Turkey the case was damaged.. a split of about 4 inches .. it is now unusable. I had thought these cases would be incredibly robust .. my last one was about 50% cheaper and literally went all over the world with me and whilst eventually a bit bashed the integrity of the case was still great. The case looks fabulous to be fair ( when it first arrived), the colour is perfect but I am incredibly disappointed that it hasn't survived a single trip!
Love the American Tourister brand - I had a small one of their cases before and it's still going strong after more than a quarter of a century!I needed a lock which can be opened by the US Authorities if required and this has it. It's a great size for me - not too big or small. The wheels are sturdy and the case seems to be as well.The unit I purchased came in a VERY bright light blue - it looks awful, but I'll be able to identify it easily on the airport carousel which is the important thing!It cost significantly more than I was expecting but that's probably down to my perceptions. It cost a LOT less than the Samsonite equivalent which is a bit mind-blowing as they are from the same company!Overall, I'm very happy with this
Have owned large and small soundbox suitcases in yellow for a number of years now, maybe since they came out? and we are now adding another large one to help with family holidays! They are relatively basic, but have everything you need and are light and easy to maneuver. My only complaint is how much the handle cuts in to the inside of the case, you have to pack your underwear around it, but on the plus side if they had covered it over then you would lose packing volume, so... Overall, a good purchase, happy to recommend.
I brought the large and small suitcase as my friend has this in yellow. I brought these in 2021. i used them both for the first time when I visited Barbados late October this year (2022). When I picked up the large suitcase in Barbados it had a crack down the front middle. I paid nearly £200 for the one suitcase and on the first journey it ever makes it cracks. I had to cover it with cling film on the journey back to the UK in case it split even more. Very disappointed and reading the guarantee/warranty - damage by airline is not covered. The customer care telephone number just directs any damaged suitcases to a separate company, you do not deal with AT directly. Bought a couple of these medium sized suitcases for our holiday abroad. They are easy to manoeuvre, and just about roomy enough for a weeks worth of holiday clothes, one or two pairs of foot ware, small toiletry products etc. These suitcase have an in- built locking mechanism, however we still preferred to use a separate padlocks as its a bit tricky to lock / unlock these case (it being made of soft plastic). Not sure how robust they are going to be over the long term, but hoping we get a good amount of use out of them.
I bought this after being encouraged by the reviews.Great quality and the poolside blue colour is great for spotting on the airport carousel.So easy to manoeuvre and I was on crutches as well.The lock worked well and zips secure.I was so impressed I have bought the cabin one after my holiday to use for work trips.
Had an absolute nightmare (though it could have been worse). First time of using - case fully packed on the eve of a holiday and one of our two brand new cases broke! The zip teeth had gone and the zip opened entirely behind the zipper pull. We had to call my sister-in-law for a spare. We will be claiming against JL receipt on our return from holiday but I have to say my confidence in our other identical case in badly undermined. 11 July 2022
