Pros: I run an older tv - a Sony Bravia 12 years old. The arrival of this fire stick dragged my picture quality into the modern era. I’m so impressed with how much the picture improved that it saves me investing in a brand new tv it’s that good! It’s easy to use as it’s my first it was an area of concern but I found it intuitive and picked it up in no time.Great picture quality Easy to useMuch cheaper than buying a tv upgrade!Cheap to buy. Cons: Having to set up each channel with passwords e.g. bbc iPlayer then channel 4,5 and so on.This was expected however but if in some way that could be made simpler it would be a good thing to do.I’m not certain technology will ever get to this but it would be amazing if it could work off its own individual wi-fi signal.

Works perfectly! We purchased this lite version to use in our 2019 Honda Odessey mini van. The power cord is long enough to reach the AC adapter in the front while the HDMI fire stick stays plugged into the back of the center console without any issue. We hotspot our internet for the kids to stream on the go. No more buying BluRay/DVDs just for the kids to complain they are bored of watching them every time we travel. Even with the fire stick being close to floor level- the remote works fine from each seat in our vehicle. I’ve included pictures of how it is setup in our van if anyone else is curious. It took about 15 min to setup and most of that was simply logging into our different apps. Only works with WiFi/Hotspot connection obviously.

The Fire stick and remote were exactly as described. It works perfectly. The Firesticks were easy to set up and quick to learn. It makes life so much easier with the voice control. The price is amazingly reasonable. Easily search and enjoy thousands of movies, TV shows, apps, and games. Use your voice to easily search and launch shows across multiple apps. Even my kids can easily use it, they can easily explore their videos by using their voice. This item is worth buying. We all are happy with it.

I am impressed. I have an older phone. All of the apps that I used to enjoy, I’m not able to because the phone doesn’t support the new updates. This is a lifesaver. It is very easy. Just plug it into the HDMI port on your tv and it will guide you on how to set up your tv apps. This device helps you to manage your tv apps and streaming channels. It also come with apps that you can choose to stream on your tv. Some are free, some you have to pay for, and some they will give you a 30 day free trial, then it’s up to you to continue, if you want. I just went for the free channels and I have other apps that I already pay for such as Hulu. It comes with the fire tv stick lite and Alexa voice remote lite. You can ask Alexa to find things within the apps, but it cannot control your tv or volume etc. It did take me a little time to link all of my accounts. The only reason for this is because I had to sign into the accounts to be able to manage my watch lists and favorites from my apps using the remote provided. Once that was out the way I really can say that I enjoy this device. It is way better looking at my programs on a big screen tv, than a small phone. I would recommend this device to anyone.
This is a lite version of the real thing, While it works pretty good for most content, it does have its limitations. Due to it being 2021, many products will control your tv set - volume, mute, power, etc., and this one does not. Not a deal breaker - but when you're hunting for the mute button you have to actually hunt for the other remote. Also the processor power is not nearly as good as the normal version or 4k version, so stuff like split screening or large format movies are hard to watch (you'll have to select a lower resolution version). Also its WiFi does not work as well as their other products - although if you're right next to the WiFi router or if you're using the optional network adapter then it may not matter. I would give 5 stars but it's crazy a SD card cost the same price and has more memory. Yes it is all good but you only get a few apps and then the memory on the Firestick is a full not to mention you can't delete the apps that already come with it that takes up the most space and then you have no choice but to delete 4 apps to download one app. My roku is finally better again now that they have HBO Max which is the reason I got the Firestick in the first place. My roku is a lite as well and I have 60 streaming apps. My Firestick can only handle about 15 and then it's no good. Hopefully next time they put in BIGGER PRINT THAT THE FIRESTICK HAS AN X AMOUNT OF MBS instead of having us looking stupid when we are wondering how many gbs it has. Come to find out, it only has 4gb. That to me is extra lite not lite🤣 Bezos better step it up before Roku takes over. The only thing a Roku doesn't have is the internet and I got that on my playstation. Getting rid of my Firestick ASAP
Wasn’t anything to write about before (some apps not working properly, too many prominent ads, limited space) but wasn’t that far behind Roku as it had far superior speed when switching apps and within apps. Now, with the latest update, the focus is ENTIRELY about Amazon’s bottom line (ads). Screen is so cluttered with ads that it’s a minor chore getting to the app you want. You have to tile through at least one of their ads to get your app. For those who haven’t used Roku, they have only ad that is placed non-obtrusively to the right of the apps. And still, certain apps like CNN almost never work properly (always frozen). A few times the TV has even failed to start up or takes forever to. One time I tried to start Netflix, nothing happened so I went to another app, ... MoreWasn’t anything to write about before (some apps not working properly, too many prominent ads, limited space) but wasn’t that far behind Roku as it had far superior speed when switching apps and within apps. One time I tried to start Netflix, nothing happened so I went to another app, and as that was slowly opening I heard the Netflix opening chime. None of this happened before the update. And to get to to the cable box you before just had to tile left once. Now you have to tile to the left twice and down? WHY? I’m staying with Roku from now on, or trying Apple TV.
I was amazed at how easy it was to set this up. The initial installation took a matter of minutes, the longest period of time being spent on the software download which took about 20 minutes. Once that was done, it was time to customize the home screen. Armed with my list of passwords, I added my subscription-based services along with a good variety of free streaming services. The equipment that powers the system sits unobtrusively behind my TV screen and plugs into an HDMI port. There is also an extender should you need it. The picture is crystal clear and I haven't noticed any buffering. My favorite feature is the ability to use voice commands courtesy of Alexa. Pros: We bought the fire stick because our little girl is in hospital and both us parents are staying with her we have been here since the beginning of December 2022 with no signs of leaving any time soon. So the fire stick has become a big part of our hospital life as there was no other way for us to watch tv in the accommodation provided to parents with poorly children. It’s become a well needed distraction for all of us. I would recommend it to anyone. Hopefully at some point we would like to raise funds to provide other parents in our situation with a fire stick especially those with other children that have to stay in the parents accommodation with them.
This firestick has made streaming easier for our family. We plugged the fire stick into our TV and connected it to wifi and we were ready to start streaming. We have several streaming subscriptions and everyone we pay for was easy to find. This fire stick also has Alexa voice which can be controlled by what you tell it to do making searching for shows effortless. This fire stick has made our family movie night so much easier to control our streaming right at our finger tips. The speed has been great even with my internet occasionally acting up on us. I have been pleased with the product and the amount of money it has saved us by ditching expensive cable.
