Ok.. so the wrist band itself is NOT very comfortable.. (it is replaceable so not a deal breaker) For the money it is pretty decent smartwatch. I purchased to help remind me to be active (which it does..yay!) It keeps track of my heart rate (fairly accurate) and checks my oxygen saturation level (fairly close but NOT accurate) Watch paired easily with my iphone and the downloaded app works well (you WILL need the app) I actually had to use the app to change the language to English from whatever language I accidentally chose during set up…. Battery life is great. After 4 days I an still st 71% charge. It can track different sports/activities.. receive notifications etc…So basically nice choice UNLESS you require super accurate oxygen monitoring

Overall really like it! Did everything I was looking for when I first got it. Since I’ve been wearing it for almost 2 years, I’ve noticed there are a few more features that would be nice. Would love it if, in addition to sports, it also had options for non-sport activities such as: mowing the grass, gardening, moving mulch or dirt, washing windows, mopping floors, vacuuming, grocery shopping, etc. Also notice that occasionally it will stop tracking an activity (i probably accidentally bump ā€œstopā€), so it doesn’t track complete activity; eg. It only tracked 25 minutes of an hour and 45 minute vigorous activity today. Maybe just track all activity regardless of whether or not a specific activity was chosen? But overall, for the price, it can’t be beat. Will probably ...Ā MoreOverall really like it! Good hardware, Zepp app is just so-so

Coming from an GTS, I had high hopes for the GTS 4 Mini. Different OS, better sensors, many more workouts. However, I use Notify for Amazfit in conjunction with the official Zepp app, and it turns out that Notify is only minimally compatible with the Zepp OS on the watch. Since I use several features in Notify that aren't supported in the native Zepp app, it felt like a downgrade. The distance measurements on the GTS 4 Mini were about 13% shorter than the original GTS. It has improved over the years, but lacks a lot of features that Notify delivers.I ended up going back to my GTS so I could get my Notify capabilities back. I hung onto the GTS 4 Mini in hopes that eventually Notify will develop greater compatibility with the GTS 4 Mini. I'll keep an eye on the Notify updates and if they improve the 4 Mini support, I will give the GTS 4 Mini another try.

Great Fitness Tracker, Okay smartwatch, AMOLEDs are overrated

I don't like leaving lots of reviews, because it can be a huge waste of time, but I think it's worth mentioning it about watches like these. Most smartwatches on the market are missing something big that separates them from being really great. I mean, on paper most of the high profile brands seem good, but if you can't sleep with the watch, then you have to hope that its functionality makes up for the lost feature.Unfortunately, while Amazfit has made marginal improvements to their standards watches over the last 4 years, some basic functionality separates it from the Apples Watches and Samsungs: they can't send text replies to texts. Sure, they can do that for calls, but I find the text to text reply is far more important. Voice to text would be ideal, alexa is hardly a fit replacement for that. The other big point of contention is the screen. While everyone has been moving to AMOLED panels, the obvious problem that it presents is for the always on display. If you can't tell time, why wear a watch? Of course, you have three options by which to tell time on this watch: always on display, press the button, or lift to view. The lift to view is what I've been going with, but it activates way too often when I'm getting ready to sleep, lighting up my retinas way too much, plus there's no easy way to look at it while you're at a meeting without drawing attention. Pressing the button kind of gets annoying, but it's better than nothing I guess. Always on would be my choice, if it weren't for the problem of sleeping like I mentioned (of course I could always turn it off but that's another annoyance to add to my routine) plus the bigger problem that it drains the battery. Actually, the biggest problem with always on is that LCD backlit panels look much better in the sunlight than AMOLEDs. There, I said it. If they made an LCD backlit panel on one of these newer watches it wouldn't look as good, but it could still be rugged and would solve many issues.Overall, there are tons of other features I could comment on, but these are the ones I deal with every day. I would love to have my pebble watch back, but those days are dead and gone, and somehow no other company has been able to replicate a usable everyday smartwatch, though this company comes really close. I think it's on the verge of greatness, if they can just iron out a couple of issues(text reply, display annoyances). I would get a Fitbit if it weren't for all the adds and bloatware that they seem to want to install now, plus Google seems to be hellbent on copying Apple with their new pixel watch. The GTS 4 mini reminds me most of a Garmin, but it's not an exact comparison. I just want to see more originality in the smartwatch market, instead of the same boring stuff over and over again. Thanks to Amazfit for making that happen.

I bought this to replace a Bip-U that I had for a couple of years. This watch does all I want it to, it keeps its charge for days, and it isn't too large or obtrusive. I have always used the Notify app without the official Zepp app that accompanies Amazfit watches, however I have found that the AGPS function doesn't work unless I use both Notify and Zepp with the GTS4. Without Zepp, the watch takes quite a while to start tracking a route, which is a bit annoying. But then again, it has its own GPS, which means I don't have to take my phone with me on a walk or a run. The display is much brighter and easier to read than the old Bip-U, which is great. It still doesn't measure heart rate when I am swimming, which is a bit annoying, but it does measure more strokes (the ...Ā MoreI bought this to replace a Bip-U that I had for a couple of years. The display on this jumped out at me when I looked at the display so bought one. Thus far, very pleased with it and impressed with it. I was able to customize this exactly to my liking. If those I have, this is my new favorite. I have Apple SE, Samsung 3, Fossil Gen 4, Fitbit Blaze and Garmin Venue Sq. Of course some of these are older so will ignore those. This has a few more features than the Apple SE and I prefer the display on the Amazfit but I see nothing specifying what the face material is so that may be more durable on the Apple but TBD. Also no problem getting a screen protector for the Apple. TBD if I can get one for this. Unless cell capability is needed, I would still pick this over the Apple, especially at half the price. The Garmin I would toss from the running immediately. It falls very short of the subject watch or Apple. Surprised there. I expected better from them. In summary, this is a surprisingly polished watch. If works smoothly and all features work as expected. Frequently I see lower cost knockoffs just lack the finesse of the main brands, especially Apple, but that is not the case here. This one is a winner. Compared to the T-Rex, that display is still great but the band and housing feels cheesy. This GTS 4 band is not quite as nice as the Apple but close.

I am totally amazed with it compared to having the Bip U Pro. This is a dream to use. The Bip U started acting up telling me while sitting watching tv that my my heart rate was spiking but it was not. This was easy to set up overall. I just love everything about it. I just cannot get my wireless earplug to connect. I have not yet tried to get it to connect to my amazon music also but that is not a big deal. The ability to turn the lighting down is another awesome thing. At least when you walk you don't have to worry about everyone seeing your watch lighting up. Cannot say enough great about it. Only one small issue is that there should be more watch faces available for free, the free ones are not the most pleasant. Love/hate relationship
19 July 2023

I'm using this watch after a Garmin. I find it very discouraging. The Garmin used active minutes and I found that far more encouraging than PAI. For instance, my husband and I went for a walk this morning. We walked together. He is much taller and thinner than I am. He earned 11:00 PAI and I earned only two. How is that possible? I use a smart watch to encourage me and help me to do better. I don't like that. I can't see my text messages. I may have a setting wrong but I can't figure it out. This watch is very difficult to figure out. I always enjoy technology, but this is tough to use. I'm debating on keeping it or sending it back. I like the looks of it and the lightness of it compared to the Garmin.

Not good for swimming
14 September 2023

I purchased one off Amazon for swimming. Worked great for 4 1/2 months. Then it started shorting laps. At first it was 10 -15 laps. Then 20-30 laps. Now, it counts less than half the laps. Today I swam 108 laps (2.75 miles), it credited me with 47 (1.3 miles). If I have to count laps mentally, it defeats the purpose of the watch. I would give this one star, except everything else on the watch works. I've read some things on line that this is actually a common problem with this watch. I should have spent the extra $75.00 and got a Fitbit. Lesson learned.

I specifically bought this watch to use when swimming - it was rated good to m0 Meters in water it was in a little more than 1 meter. 20 minutes into my exercise it stopped working and never worked again. I returned it to the Cambie St store. Andrea and Gerado were so helpful. I got a full refund and bought the fitbit luxe. It works great for swimming/ aquafit (I work out 4-5 days a week for an hour at a time. Do not recommend this watch for water activities, Liked the features on the watch when it was working.
