All-Clad Copper-Core 10" Fry Pan

$242.00

(165 reviews)

Medium-sized pan with a diameter of 25.4 cm at the top, a bottom diameter of 18.8 cm, and a height of 5.5 cm. As the pan is uncoated, it is perfect for crispy frying. The curved inner surface makes it easy to toss and remove the food. The pan is made of a 5-layered multi-layer material. The innermost wall is made of high-quality 18/10 stainless steel, which is extremely robust and very hygienic. However, the highlight of the Copper Core series is the 1.8 mm thick, continuous core of pure copper, which is surrounded on both sides by aluminum. This core ensures rapid heating with even heat distribution. Visually, this core is perfectly showcased thanks to a milling on the outside. To ensure optimal use on all types of stoves, including induction, the outermost layer is made of magnetic stainless steel. The polished outer layer is easy to clean and shines in the truest sense of the word. The handle made of ergonomically shaped cast stainless steel guarantees a secure and firm grip. The handle is firmly connected to the body by means of double riveting and cannot break off. The Copper Core series combines the excellent thermal conductivity of copper with the robustness of stainless steel like no other cookware. For detailed information about the manufacturer, the individual series, and other products, please visit our All-Clad brand page .

Without a doubt, your money is paying for both the performance and quality! I noticed that there was a bit of a warp to the pan when I first started using it, but it went away after a couple of uses if anyone else might be experiencing that (also, all-clad told me it was normal as well). I think there certainly is a bit of a markup in terms of price for the all-clad name, but it's totally worth it when it goes on sale. The pan has a solid weight but is well balanced with the handle, so it doesn't feel heavy when handling it. I own the All-clad copper core 10 inch fry pan and 4qt sauce pan. I found them easy to use and very responsive to heat. My steak I cooked first with fry pan was cooked perfectly and succulent. The pans did not warp or show any indication of being of poor quality when I used the pans on the stove top or in the oven. I also own a 10 piece set of Mauviel M250B cookware and I must admit that the All clad copper core pans so far cooks just as good. Thank you All-clad for making such a durable professional set of cookware. I seasoned my fry pan by using vegetable oil and heated up the pan until it started smoking. I then let the pan cool completely. I wiped the oil in the pan with a paper towel. I then put two table spoons of butter and did an egg test and the eggs did not stick. I can’t understand how some people are having a problem with these pans. The only thing I can think of is that maybe they are not cooking at the correct temperature. I would advise these individuals to consult some you tube videos for some tips, as I found them extremely helpful.Joseph A Zebzda

There's just no comparison between the copper core skillet and any other(and I've probably had them all over the years.) Right now, I've got an All-Clad D3 12" that's a wonderful workhorse but seriously-- cooking with the copper core is effortless and everything just comes out perfect. It's a joy to use and I reach for it time and time again. Heats up quickly, retains the heat, browns, sears, cleans up easily. But those are just words and the difference is hard to explain. For the first time, I understand why people go to culinary school :) I've got a couple of other All-Clad copper core pieces but the big difference in materials and performance really shines in the skillet.

Copper core necessary?
23 January 2024

I’m happy with the transition to stainless steel but regret falling for the copper core for aesthetic. After two uses the copper is already changing in patina. I would’ve opted for D5 or possibly D3 so that I could still have similar performance. Still somewhat regret not purchasing the Mauviel for similar performance but better aesthetic overall.

Fast and even heat!
31 March 2023

I have had this pan a few days and I’m very pleased with the performance. It heats up fast and even, while preheating we tested the temperature on different areas of the pan all were within a degree. I’m use to cooking mostly on cast iron or non stick but I really wanted to upgrade to a high end professional cookware. I’ve read several reviews about how hard this pan is to clean, I have seared heavily seasoned shrimp and skin on chicken thighs. After cooking i just poured a little wine into the hot pan and made a fond sauce. The pan basically wiped clean after that! I wish it would have came with a lid like the D3 considering the price difference however I also ordered the 5qt copper core saute pan and the lid fits this pan well.

Good Frying Pan

Lighter weight than expected, (3 3/4 lbs) on my scale. Heats relatively evenly based on my hand held ThermoWorks infrared thermometer, and very quickly as well. Up & down heat control is good. Cleans up easily. Nothing a little “Bar Keepers Friend” can’t take care of. Extra handle is very helpful.

Very good investment. I have purchased multiply $100 range "stainless steel" pans and always end up with warped bottoms even with as much care of avoiding temperature ranges. So far this one is flat as can be. Definitely can tell the difference. So easy to clean. A little soap and baking soda or boil some water in the pan.

Very poor non stick & customer service
7 January 2023

We have been huge All Clad customers first with an extensive set of LTD cookware. When we decided to switch to Copper Core we gave the LTD to our daughter and now have an extensive Copper Core collection which we like very much. We have many other All Clad utensils and cooking appliances. We always clean them by hand and never use spray oils. The problem is with the Copper Core non-stick. We have 2 Copper core non stick fry pans and the non stick began to deteriorate. After following the All Clad directions to clean them, I decided to send them back as there is a lifetime warranty. To our dismay, they were returned to us stating that they would not be covered. Needless to say, we are so disappointed and it definitely makes us think twice before considering ... MoreWe have been huge All Clad customers first with an extensive set of LTD cookware. [Rewarded Review] Ironclad copper core cookware.

This cookware was highly recommended to me by my daughter who works as a food scientist and has a chef certification. It is an incredible cookware set and I appreciate how evenly it cooks, thanks to the copper layer. The weight is substantial and the handles are long, so they are not hot to hold. The large pot is a perfect size for soups and cooking pasta. The entire set is beautiful and cleans up very well. I do not put it in the dishwasher, even though it states that it is safe to do so. I want to keep it in great condition. I did use Bar Keepers Friend on the small skillet after making scrambled eggs and the skillet cleaned great without scratching. I would probably use a nonstick pan for eggs in the future, but everything else that I have cooked with the kettles ... MoreThis cookware was highly recommended to me by my daughter who works as a food scientist and has a chef certification. I have never owned a good quality set of cookware, and I am enjoying this set immensely. The price is high, but watch for sales and discounts and you can save money on the purchase.

[Rewarded Review] Uncomfortable Handles
11 June 2024

I am sure these pots and pans are amazing to cook with, but unfortunately I will never know. They are heavy and the handles are extremely uncomfortable to hold. The handles are V-Shaped and it feels like it is cutting into your hand when you grasp it. I was really looking forward to using this set, but for the money it costs, due to the handles I've decided to return it. It's a shame, but I suppose it is one of the drawbacks of purchasing on-line without seeing and holding them in person.
