This device is powerful and so easy to use. I have found pruning Roses, grape vines and other larger shrubs very difficult and painful due to arthritis in my fingers. This amazing tool makes the job so quick, easy and pain-free I am so glad I made the purchase. It has a quality feel as do the other AEG products in my tool kit.

Easy to use. Speeds up pruning jobs. Good if hands are not strong enough for manual secateurs . Great product.

Powerful secateurs that do a great job and are great quality. Not cheap though! Easily cuts through 25mm branches all day long. Once the trigger is activated it will cut effortlessly through. (So be careful and follow safety instructions). Handy addition to any gardener or handyman's tool bag.Really annoying that AEG always seem to offer bonus redemption for items less than a month after I purchase them! They should really introduce a points system so that when you buy stuff you accumulate credits, that can be used to buy AEG tools of your choice.

Great Product. Works well on thicker branches. Easy to use, and lightweight. Watch your fingers though!
I've been using this for a few weeks now to do cut price circumcisions. Has work an absolute treat. Really easy to clean nice quick single hand operation. 10/10
All people in their 70s & 80s have trouble with repetitive fist clenching (using secateurs is one of those jobs) probably due to increasing arthritis with old age. Since this is the time in retirement when you love to tidy up your home's garden trees & shrubs (max 25-30mm diameter branches) you must get yourself a ALP18 powered by a 18v x 6Ahm battery (for active longevity on the job and power). Even much younger commercial arborists/gardeners will do more on a job for amazingly less effort. You get what you pay for in life so ignore thinking about the cost - your body/health are worth it. Also the AEG focus on safety can't be applauded enough with its clever auto turnoff if unused to cut {extending battery life]. Also, it is nicely weighted and balanced at about a ... This tool is the best that I have purchased from AEG.The tool has intuitive safety features and feels good to use.Every time you use the tool it is exciting to me, to observe its performance and make the job easier.
Hands down one of the best tools I have purchased. As a gardener I am using this all the time. Not only excellent for pruning but cuts through branches where I would usually have had to saw or even use a recip. Worth every cent if you are someone pruning / cutting smaller branches regularly
The AEG battery secateurs is nothing short of outstanding. Absolutely brilliant. Not only does it have the effortless power to prune branches, the speed of operation shortens the time it take to perform pruning tasks significantly
As a life long gardener who at an age where pruning 100 fruit trees per year had finally worn out my hands, these absolutely fantastic 18V Secateurs have saved me. I can't praise them enough. Powerful, sharp & quick they get through the work super fast. Highly recommend even if you don't prune 100 trees. Do yourself or someone you love a favour!
