Adidas Mens Adilette Comfort Slides, 9 / Blue

I got these to replace my Nike solarsoft 2 slides that seem to have been discontinued. These slides were true to size just like my Nike ones. The cloudfoam or whatever it is is very soft and squishy to the touch and feels nice on feet with and without socks. I have two minor issues with these. The first is that sometimes I feel like my heel bottoms out on the harder rubber/plastic on the bottom. I think this is because the cushion is just so soft. My second issue is the bigger deal in my opinion and that is the strap. I got the all black color with the three stipes and the strap has no padding at all. It is rubber on the outside with fabric on the inside. It's very thin and I find it to be uncomfortable without socks but not a huge deal with socks. I recently was in a shoe store and saw these so I went to see if the padding was a consistent issue and it is, BUT only on this all black color. I have no idea why but on the other colors there was a noticeable difference in the padding. The padding should be the same on all colors or it should show that there is a difference before buying. I would have rated them 5 stars if there was any padding on the strap.

Adilette comfort slides are my absolute favorite slides. Ive worn them for years because they are so comfortable and one of the few shoes that dont hurt my feet after walking around for long periods of time. I even have a pair I wear as house shoes. I got these for the best deal Ive ever seen! So good I got a pair for each of my older children as well!

I bought these to wear around the house and while these slides are super cute and the cushioned footbed is comfortable, I will no longer be wearing these after owning them for only 5 months. I started to notice bruising across the top of my foot and big toe (where the top and bottom of the band hit on my foot). Sizing up would not have helped because I also ran into an issue with my feet sliding around on the sides and I would roll my ankle a lot. Another thing to note is that the cushioned footbed and underside of the band collect hair like crazy! I’ve got 3 dogs and their hair gets stuck in the cushioned footbed and lining of the band. I would have to use tweezers to get the hairs out, which is tedious and a waste of my time.
