I should've paid attention to the review that said JoAnne's shipped this item in a tin plastic bag, with no box to protect it. The reviewer's bead kit had arrived crushed in shipping, and mine did too. I thought her experience must have been a fluke, and that JoAnne's would never usually send a crushable product out like that, but I was wrong. They did, and it was squashed. I bought it for a gift, and will try to un-crunch the box or repackage the contents myself. So no review yet on the product itself. I looks pretty promising.

This is a very cool product! While it is for kids primarily, I purchased it to make paper beads to incorporate into my handmade cards. The handle that is included with the product is more convenient than screwing the Device onto a plastic water bottle as depicted on the front of the box. I also liked that the product came with different patterned paper, already outlined and ready to cut so you could begin making beats immediately.Using the device, took a nanosecond to get used to, but I did note that you do have to work at guiding the paper so that it wraps evenly.
