I put this in my car trunk on an interstate drive. I ran over one of those big pieces of rubber that come off semi tires and could hear something dragging on my tire. I was upset to see that it was a piece of my car trim that was dragging, not the thing I ran over! I used a piece of duct tape to hold it together and haven’t even bothered to take the car in to be fixed. The tape isn’t budging. I don’t know what I would have done without it. I can’t tear the trim off a car.

3M has created another good product, this time with their 3M duct tape. I received the product for free to do a product review. I compared it to Gorilla Tape and a cheap knock off brand.The 3M tape is a good thickness, you can tear it for a clean line plus it is sticky. It is as good as Gorilla brand and much better than the thin knock off brands that you can't tear cleanly.I recommend the 3M tape.

Bought this tape for a hobby project and it worked exactly as predicted. 3M has consistent quality and size from roll to roll and stays stuck were you put it.multiple color avialliable , must have at home.

Full disclosure, this item was provided free in exchange for an honest review.I found this tape very easy to tear and use. The tears were very straight and could be done easily both lengthwise and crosswise on the tape strip.I used it to tape down some carpeting that I have in our garage. It stuck very well to the carpet itself and the concrete floor. The clean look of the tape made the carpeting look neat as well.Would definitely use this again in the future.
I received a sample of this tape to test its quality and utility. Mine was a basic black duct tape, similar in appearance to theatrical gaffing tape. I used it to repair and cover the splintering wooden handle of a hand saw and it did the job!The one issue I've had is when tearing off pieces of tape, rather than cutting, the tape tends to want to split, lengthwise, into half-width straps. This could be due to the temperature of the product, which is a bit more rigid in cooler air.
This is going to sound a little bit trashy, but it was an emergency... my husband ran over something, causing part of the underside of his car to dislodge and hang down. We needed a quick fix so that he could make an appointment to get it fixed. This tape not only held everything in place, but it held for weeks! (Because he procrastinated). The black color made it blend in, so no one even knew! This tape held through driving, wind, rain, etc. I am so impressed!
Does what it's supposed to do... I wrap it around Romex, hoses, etc., to create color-coded labels. Would not use for anything really serious but for sticking to itself and for being orange well yep that's what it do.
Great for projects around the home. Awesome for school projects too. Built an 8' x 6' haunted house made of foam poster board for our school trunk or treat event. I used this duct tape and long pieces of wood to brace the back. It had to be lightweight so I could assemble on-sight for the event. It held up really well even with the wind, event lasted 3 hours. This was 7 huge foam poster board pieced together like a puzzle. It even lasted through an entire night of trick or treating in my neighborhood.
I taped up different things in my garage to cement and wood and both staying in place for days. I was able to re-use the tape from both the cement and the wood again with the one from the wood sticking much better because it was clean, but the ones stuck to the cement were a bit dirty when I pealed them off, but they still stuck to another surface, but just not as tight. No big deal for me because I was surprised it stuck at all with the left behind dirt from the cement. I also taped up a few objects to a metal beam in my house and it stayed in place for days as well. Just what was needed for inside seams of a shed garden window and roof vent. Have to say it worked better than I expected, now I just hope it holds up to the cold. Think that rubberized coating will help in the cold also. Not sure what type of glue they use for this tape, but when you lay it down and roll it, it stays. Will buy this again that is for sure.
