The lid has to be rotated and stuck down in side the cooking chamber . The lid has to stick down into the food and is hard to remove before sealing the pot . Remember ,the lid is now inside the pot and underneath the top rim .The cooker is of top quality , functions well and obtains good pressure . It is award to put on the lid without getting food on top of the sealing gasket .

Well, It's a cool little pressure cooker (2 L), very effective and convenient, but there's one problem - Hawkins state that the 2 L model is good for 1-2 people, but in reality, for example, you can barely make dal with it. Making one serving (50g of dry lentils) is fine, but more than that usually makes a mess. So overall the product is good and if you don't pay too much for shipping, then the price is good also. But I will recommend buying at least a 3 L model, even if you only cook for one person.
I loved it this one. I would have given 4 star but its not easy to close and open the lid. It took a while for us to get used to with this,
This is the real deal, this is the only pressure cooker I would use, I sold all other pressure cookers.
It has significant leakage of pressure! Doesn’t work at all.
These are the best pressure cookers as the elliptical lid stops the explosions of the past. This one is great for one or two people. It allows for quick cooking of stews etc which is often necessary in this busy world. The stainless steel allows for cooking on any type of stove.
