So I was unsure of how much wearing tights as part of your recovery helps. So finally after comparing various different brands and options I took the plunge and got these. And what can I say after my intervals and threshold sessions wearing these produced unbelievable recovery gains, and my legs felt great the next day. And now I just chill on Sundays in these after my long runs knowing my legs will be ready to go all again for the next week of training

I ordered them because I tend to have cramps during the nights after intensive sessions (biking, workouts). The first time, I wore it during a few hours after exercising but I had cramps during the night. Since then I also wear it during the following night, and had no cramps anymore. They also reduce much muscle soreness the following day. I was a bit afraid that it would be warm to wear during the night, but on the contrary, they are very breathable and stay cool. Quality is top and feeling when having them on is very nice (they are very tights, but also very elastic, so the feeling is more to have a glove than being constrained). These are worth every penny!

I train for ultras and put in a lot of miles. About once a week I shoot for a 35+ mile day. What use to take me about 3 days to recover now takes me at most 2. I'll wear these for about an hour after a long run (longer if it was through the mountain trails) and I feel a lot less sore the next day. Definitely worth it if you have a lot of training to do. Get more days in with less pain.

I bought these about 2 months ago to help with edema and swelling which they have been very effective in controlling in my left leg. However, a month ago I ended up (like the reviewer Robert S.) in a terrible bicycling accident which left me with several broken bones and a hematoma on my right side from my chest to the crease in my knee. The tights have cleared the hematoma from the waist down, while the waist up (no compression applied) is still very active and blue/purple. A real credit to the benefits of compression. I highly recommend these tights both from the perspectives of before the accident and after. Two different uses, but both very effective. I am 6'1" and bought a large - I would recommend a Large Tall.
The compression on these tights is great; my legs feel decent the day after 90 minutes of football. What doesn't feel great are the stirrups. Horrible design, you will wake up with aching feet because they apply too much pressure along the seams. Absolutely useless. So now I have $150 tights, with these ridiculous floppy sock-looking things out in front, because I don't use the stirrups. Pretty lame when I'm wearing them during the day.The ache is deep, right across the bottom of the arch of your foot, and certainly enough to ruin any rest you're planning on. The reason you don't experience this anywhere else on the tights is that it's one whole system, no seams save for the waistband. I would not recommend buying these until they do a product redesign.
I haven't previously used 2XU compression tights, but very impressed with the quality and structure of the tights. Great graduated compression feels great - nice and tight, but not uncomfortable. Really like the foot stirrups. I was on the boarder of the size chart - followed the recommendation provided and they fit.
Overall I am very happy. These are the second pair of recovery tights I have owned from 2xu and I would most likely buy from them again. I am very happy with them overall, the only thing I don't like are the stirrups. I guess they're there to give more comprehensive coverage which makes sense but they end up being really uncomfortable. The stirrups have stretched a little after some wear but I am very close to just cutting the stirrups off they're that uncomfortable, I just don't want to ruin the rest of the tights by doing so.Ultimately, from the ankles up, these are 5/5 but 1/5 below the ankle. If when it comes time to replace these and I can get them without the stirrups, I would 100% buy them. If they only come with stirrups I personally would look elsewhere first.
This is my 2nd pair of 2XU tights.1) Things I like- workmanship, lower leg compression, foot bands and availability of a medium tall size so they don't slip down from your waistline over the course of the day.2) Things I am unsure about/TBD- the upper leg compression (not entirely sure much is going on here therapeutically), the longevity of the material (no issues 2 weeks in but I am curious how the leg band will hold up to wear and tear).3) Things that could be improved on--the customer service. Emailed numerous time to get an update on when these would be back in stock and the rep didn't seem motivated to give more than the standard 'We have no further information when it will be in stock' response. Additionally, emailed 3 times at the point of shipping and ... MoreThis is my 2nd pair of 2XU tights.1) Things I like- workmanship, lower leg compression, foot bands and availability of a medium tall size so they don't slip down from your waistline over the course of the day.2) Things I am unsure about/TBD- the upper leg compression (not entirely sure much is going on here therapeutically), the longevity of the material (no issues 2 weeks in but I am curious how the leg band will hold up to wear and tear).3) Things that could be improved on--the customer service. New to walking/running and have been building my mileage from 0 up to 15 mile walk/run combos. I’d used recovery socks before and recovered quicker following long walks/runs. As I’ve been pushing to run more than walk, it came time for recovery of my upper legs. I’d seen 2XU before and with research and conversations decided to give them a try. I am glad I did! I’ve compared by doing a 10 mile walk/run and not using the tights (2 days for soreness to go away) and using the tights (softness gone next day).I’m a believer. Also, appreciate the help when it came to determining size. I’m on the edge of M/L. For recovery tights go smaller, for tights you wear while training go larger.
A friend recommended. Tried after preride for a big mountain bike race - assumed they would be uncomfortable and make me crazy. Wore them whole day and forgot I had them on. Completed Lumberjack 100 mountain bike race three days later. Definitely help significantly with recovery. Btw, I never right reviews.
