First of all the shipping was super fast and free! The EAP610 is easy to setup if your network switches are POE there’s no need to use the supplied power adapter . I purchased a total of five units. (EAP610) and I was able to connect four of them without the need of the power supply, one of my ethernet cables was coming from a non-POE switch, so I easily installed it with the supplied power supply. All the instructions for set up are easy to read and understand. The equipment has perform flawlessly and without any issues so far.

Comparable, if not better than my WiFi6 router with speeds. Unfortunately it seems that the distance of reliable connection is less than my router? Might be because of the location of the device on the ceiling. No issues installing it. Setting up was decently easy. A tad bit big, super light and non intrusive light indicator. Used the browser interface instead of any app. A good selection of tools and settings for customization.

I upgraded my AP primarily to make streaming PC games to my VR glasses even more stable and less laggy. I have the Oculus Quest 2. Also other devices had occasional problems negotiating 5GHz connection with my previous Wifi 5 AP. Managed to solve all these with this AP, I'm really satisfied with this router. I needed one that can manage multiple SSID (station IDs) and supports associating these station IDs to different VLANs, so that IOT things can use a different isoalted VLAN than my computers or sensitive storage devices.I thought Wifi 6 promises more than it delivers, as usual, but it surprised me, even devices further away from the AP can do ~700Mbit transfer speeds according to my measurements. VR galasses reports very low latency, 4-6ms, with 1200Mbps.

Incredibly powerful signal. Works flawlessly with Androids and Windows laptops. iPhones keep dropping even though signal strong.TP-link technical support not very helpful. I tried changing security settings, bandwidth, channel. Intermittent problem - very frustrating.

I have been using a NETGEAR - AC 1200 Dual Band Gigabit Wireless Router (R6200) for about 4 years. It has served me well, but with the advent of the AX protocol, I wanted to see if I could get better performance (faster wireless) so nightly backups would take less time. I also wanted to take advantage of the mesh feature (once they produce firmware that actually works). First impression was surprise at the size of the unit. At 9-1/2 inches in diameter, it's not exactly inconspicuous in my living room. As for performance, wireless speed was only marginally improved. Now, I can connect to WiFi from my shed in my backyard! :-)

I live in a small home with wifi-eating metal-mesh-backed plaster walls - about 1800 sf including the unairconditioned spaces. I have never been able to get acceptable signal strength more than two rooms away from my wi-fi router. When I've walked around the house with a signal strength checking app on my phone, I've often gotten better signal strength from my neighbors' wi-fi when I'm near windows. I have turned old routers into access points before and hard wired them back to the main router. This has never worked acceptably. Over the holidays I decided to try and fix this problem (while the attic was cool). I have turned old routers into access points before and hard wired them back to the main router. This has never worked acceptably. Over the holidays I decided to try and fix this problem (while the attic was cool). I upgraded my router to a TP-Link WiFi 6 AX3000 Smart WiFi Router – 802.11ax Wireless Router, Gigabit Internet Router, Dual Band, OFDMA, MU-MIMO, OneMesh Compatible (Archer AX55) located in a corner of my house and paired it with this access point which I mounted to the ceiling of my living room (central room in the house). It is hard wired back to the router. It has worked flawlessly for more than a month now. I haven't lost signal or needed to reset it. It hands off to and from the main router without problems. I now have a strong signal in every room of my house. Some are still not at the highest strength, but it works well anywhere in my house and throughout my front yard. I did have some challenges mounting the AP to my plaster ceiling. I am a product designer and consider myself pretty handy. I didn't want to use any of the included options and just wanted to screw the mounting plate to the ceiling with some drywall screws. This turned out to be a real chore. If they would just increase the depth of the mounting plate about 1/8"" it would be simple. I modified the plastic part with a Dremel and then it was a simple installation. It could also use a more refined way to accept the incoming ethernet cable. These are minor issues. Overall I'm very happy with this AP.

This access point is awesome in all ways except size. When I bought it, I thought it would be about the size of the EAP265 and EAP245, BOY was I WRONG! This thing is HUGE! The aesthetics are a bit off-putting. I assume there is a reason it is so big, but I have no idea what that might be. The wireless signal is awesome and functionality and stability are amazing, too bad it's the size of a Volkswagen Bug!

Upgraded to this from TP-Link EAP245 V3 - which is a AC1750, compared to this AX1800. On the AC1750, I was seeing transfer rates of 35MBps standing next to the router. This one, at AX1800, is getting around 25MBps average. And this is trying all combination of channels and channel widths. (speed in BYTES not BITS) Signal does carry farther but is, from my experience, a lot slower.
