✅10/10! I wasn’t aware of the brand before and only purchased because on #amazon because of the #HelloKitty design. I was surprised that it keeps my #coffee warm longer than my Hydroflask. I am a #nurse and work #nightshift so it’s impt that my bottle can keep my coffee warm for hours. This has a great seal and doesnt leak in my bag even if placed sideways or if it topples down. Its has a lock/unlock tab too. Best of all, it has the button to open it up so I avoid touching the spout that would touch my lips. More hygienic especially when I use it at the hospital. Best Thermos I Ever Got

I have been looking for a perfect stainless steel thermo mug for a long time. After 20 (if not 30) thermos in 20 years, I'd say the search is over. This is a thermo mug near perfection: It's beautiful, light weighted, of high quality, easy to use,... It keeps my coffee/tea piping hot all day long, so much that it burned my tongue several times. The first one was purchased back in October 2019. I love it so much that I bought a total of four in low-key smoky blue and beautiful lavender pink, both 12 oz and 16 oz sizes. I brought the 16 oz smoky blue one with me every where and unfortunately dropped it on my concrete drive way once with cap off. Needless to say, the paint was scratched. Best travel mug ever!

Keeps coffee hot for hours. Easy to drink from. Locking mechanism on spout works perfectly to prevent leaks and spills. Easy to clean as well. Bonus for me: the diameter of the thermos is small enough that it fits into the pouch of my "professional" backpack -- most travel mugs and thermos bottles do not. I cannot recommend this product highly enough.

Best travel mug ever, seriously

I like everything about this travel vacuum thermos. It has a narrow, streamlined profile so it fits in all car cup holders. This also makes it easy and comfortable to hold and easy to stow in a bag. The vacuum insulation is top notch. My beverages have stayed steaming hot for at least 8 hours even while the lid was periodically opened for sipping. The number one reason I purchased this is for the ability to completely disassemble the lid for cleaning. There is NO OTHER travel mug I've ever found that disassembled at all, or disassembled easily. Zojirushi finally designed a mug lid that is both easy to take apart and foolproof to put back together. The lid is spring loaded so it pops open one-handed, but there is a small latch on the back of the opening button that catches the lid before it flings hot condensate on your face from the built up pressure of your beverage. Then you let the button go completely and the force of the spring pushes the lid top over a little bump in the hinge that keeps it from flipping back to bonk you on the nose when you tip it up to drink. It's just something you have to experience to really appreciate.Overall, I highly recommend this to anyone who needs a daily use travel mug. It has exceeded all my own criteria for a travel mug and I hope never to use any others from now on.

Excellent quality of materials and design

Worth the price. I use this mug to keep my tea hot all day and pour small amounts into a cup as I go. The lid design is perfect for pouring if anyone else plans to use this the same way. Sleek design and very slender so the way it feels in your hand is perfect and it fits into any cup holder. I love glancing down and seeing it sitting on my desk, if you love quality products that look as good as they function then you'll appreciate this mug.It did come with two little scratches in the paint on the outside revealing the stainless steel underneath (posted in picture). It's a small defect and I won't be sending it back as I don't want to wait to send it back and receive another one. Here are the real differences: Nonstick coating stains less than stainless steel, 1 more O-ring on the SM-KHE detachable mouth piece (2 total plus the cap seal), and holds temperature slightly worse than the SM-SA insulated mug, but better than 20oz Klean Kanteen , 21oz Hydroflask, 40oz Takeya, 500ml Thermos, 16oz Stanley, 1L Nissan. We are talking about a 20-25 degree difference in 6 hours for either Zojirushi for hot liquids. None of the other insulated vacuum flasks even come close to keeping those temperatures. However there are a few things that could be viewed as a negative. The profile is thin, so it rocks around a standard 3" cup holder in the car. If you put a sleeve over it, then that helps, but makes hand washing a bit harder. Any beverage other than coffee, tea, or water is NOT RECOMMENDED. This includes dairy products, hot chocolate, acidic juices, and carbonated drinks. The seal holds the smell of whatever you drink. This might not seem like a big deal, but people with sensitivity to smells might be put off by the coffee or tea aroma when they are drinking clean water. Also, you need to be vigilant about cleaning the rubber seals, otherwise undesirable biological growth can make drinking out of this mug an unpleasant experience (try to do a deep cleaning at least weekly with soap, baking soda, vinegar and rinse well with water. Then, completely dry the mug. Also consider the cost of consumables; Klean Kanteen and Hydroflask offer lifetime warranties and have given me caps when they needed replacement. Zojirushi offers 5 years and you need to buy replacement fittings and lost caps, etc. Now that it's starting to warm up, I am finding myself grabbing my other bottles, since they are easier to clean and ice keeps comparatively similar to Zojirushi (but the Zojirushi keeps hot things way hotter due to their better seal and vacuum flask technology). I also like to drink out of regular stainless steel more than nonstick, but the difference is so nominal that it shouldn't matter unless you can taste a metallic aftertaste in food and drinks stored or prepared in stainless steel. Even at the same price as the nonstick Zojirushi mug, the features are so comparable that I would purchase this again. I put coffee and tea in the SM-SA version and hot water in the SM-KHE slick steel, so they serve different purposes. Also, I drink a lot of carbonated water, and I find my Insulated Klean Kanteen with Swing Lok cap to be the better all around bottle during the warmer months. They all keep my drinks ice cold for over 2 days, but the Zojirushi wins hands down at keeping hot water temperatures up. There are only 2 legitimate questions to help you decide which to buy. Do you prefer to drink out of stainless steel?If yes, then buy this SM-KHE in whatever color you prefer. Do you need more than 16oz of liquid in your mug? If yes, then buy SM-SA version in whatever color you prefer. Everything else is almost identical including keeping temperature in the vacuum flask.

Not the wide mouth version

Zojirushi has a reputation for making thermal bottles with the best temperature retention, and they make several different models of their travel mugs. This one has a stainless steel interior which I prefer over the non-stick versions. It has a small mouth opening designed for maximum temperature retention but I find it more awkward to drink from than the large mouth models because the lid bumps into my nose. I prefer the Zojirushi wide mouth model SM-KHE48, also with the stainless steel interior. My photos show the difference in mouth design. Zojirushi 16 oz travel mug

This mug was wonderful for the first year, probably used it a dozen times. Didn't need it for several months and then when I recently started to use it again, it wasn't keeping my coffee hot at all. I always handwashed it so I don't think I was neglectful in care or handling. If anyone has any suggestions to offer, I would love to hear from you.

I must have 10 vacuum cups and mugs, but the Zojiushi 48XA stainless bottle beats them all--by a wide margin. I read the excellent reviews and even though it was pricey, I took a chance. I have a Zojirushi coffee maker (2nd one) with a thermal carafe and it is outstanding. I was not disappointed in this stainless bottle, in fact, if anything, all my expectations were exceeded. Top features: keeps liquids hot for a long time, hours. I accidentally left my coffee at home one one day and after being out for 5-6 hours I found it on the counter at home and poured out the old coffee. Of course, I had to test it to see how hot it still was and I almost burned my fingers! Duh. Just know your hot drink will stay very hot for a minimum of 2 hours, and acceptably hot for up to 3-4.Second, it is totally leakproof which is a must if you are going to carry it in a vehicle. I am very happy with that feature (unlike Yeti's second gen lid which still is not leakproof)As great a product as it is, it is difficult to drink from if you are trying to keep your coffee as hot as you can make it. It can be just too hot, and the narrow diameter of the bottle make even precision sipping a challenge. In addition, the maximum bottle size that Zojirushi sells is 12 oz. It would be great to have a 16 oz bottle. The good news is that every oz stays hot and you don't have to throw out the last 6-8 oz because they got cold.So, after all that, if you want a stylish, well-made stainless bottle that is easy to clean, easy to hold and transport, and which keeps your coffee and tea hotter than any other bottle on the market, buy it. I highly recommend it.
