Zman 2.5 Slim SwimZ Soft Plastics Anglers were looking for a paddle tail that had a shorter, slimmer profile, with the benefits of ElaZtech 10X Tough, super-soft and flexible realistic feel and built-in buoyancy for maximum action at slow speeds and a buoyant, lifelike tail-up action when at rest on the bottom. The Slim SwimZ ticks all of these boxes and packs a lively, lifelike action in its little paddle tail; an action that has seen it punching above its weight on species that are not commonly associated with a 2.5" soft plastic. Both bass and bream tournament anglers have embraced this paddle tail, but it has proven effective on yellowbelly, trout, redfin, saratoga, sooties and jungle perch in the fresh, and flathead, grunter, tarpon, giant herring, tuna and other species in the salt, that often frustrate anglers with their preference for tiny baitfish. With plenty of built-in action the 2.5" Slim SwimZ is perfect for anglers who want to give soft plastics fishing a try and a deadly addition to the experienced soft plastic fisho's arsenal. Fish on!

Another staple in my tackle box. The slimswimz has a great action and punches well above its weight. I have caught my Pb whiting on these plastics as well as many big bream and plenty of decent sized flat head.

Another great bait bait from Zman. I like to use the 3" on a 10th oz finesse bulletz during those tough bite winter months. My favorite color is baby bass. I usually slay them while everyone else is getting nothing. These little baits have great tight action. Of course, being Elaztech, they are also tough. I was out one day and found a spot where the fish were stacked. I caught around 20 fish in about an hour and a half. Most were right around 1 lb a few of them were close to, and maybe a little over 2. Did that all on 1 bait. The bait was also still good to go for my next outing, where I caught a few more fish on it. The bait eventually lost its tail somehow. I think a turtle may have bit it off. Well worth picking these up.

Iāve been using Zman Slim Swimz for the past 5 years. They are, hands down, the single best multi species bait there is out there. If I could only keep one lure in my box, the Zman Slim Swimz would be the bait of choice. From the salt water down in Florida to the Great Lakes in Michigan, I have caught every species of fish available. Sea Trout, Sea Bass, Grouper, Largemouth Bass, Crappie, Blue Gill, it doesnāt matter. This bait catches them all. The durability is also incredible! In the gulf, Iād have to change my gulp every 3rd or 4th fish. With Zman, Iāve literally caught over 30 fish on one Slim Swimz. They are just awesome! Do yourself a favor and load up on Zman!

Went fishing in wisconsin under a huge bridge yesterday. It had at least 80 concrete pilings. It was hot and sunny, but nice and cool under the bridge. I had 5 rods rigged with different reliable baits. I started off with 2 1/2" Bad Shad Slim Swimz with 1/10th finesse jig head. Had my limit of crappie in 2 1/2 hours. All between 11 to 12 1/2 inches. Fish this bait with a slow steady retrieve. The paddle tail thumps no matter how slow you reel it. I have been crappie fishing with artificials for more than 50 years. These baits are as good as it gets. By the way, I fished less than a third of those pilings and I never picked up any of my other rods. Great day. Grab some Slim Swimz and get under those bridges anywhere in the country and wait for that crappie thump. ...Ā MoreWent fishing in wisconsin under a huge bridge yesterday. I looked at the reviews than went into the store and made a purchase for a pack of Zman Slim Swimz Midnight Oil i matched it with Jarvis Walker 6lb mono in green colourI travelled to my local brackish lake 35km's upstream of the ocean, First cast and i was on baby!!! I thought this cannot be so... Than i thought it was a mullet but as the fish cameup on the little sandy beach to my surprise it was a 50cm flatheadAnd i'm not a lures guy i prefer bait, the jighead i used was 1/20ozNow looking to expand and try other Zman soft plastics
Have used these to replace the plastic on the z man flashback mini chatter bait and as a stand alone swimbait ona jig head. On the chatter bait it works great and Iāve caught several fish including one of the better smallmouth Iāve gotten recently. As a swimbait it swims fine just havenāt had much success with it. My only minor gripes are, elaztech is great stuff love the toughness flexibility etc, but itās not compatible with the jig heads I have a Ton of! So hard to get them to set right on the bait holder.
I paired one of these little ElaZtech swimbaits with a 1/32 oz Owner Blockhead jig and have been catching bass at local ponds like crazy. The amazing thing about these is how soft yet durable they are. I just had to change out my last slim swimz after catching and releasing close to 90 bass in the 12ā - 16ā range on the same bait!! Try doing that with another regular soft swimbait. These would be worth it at twice the price with as durable as they are. For a little different action try rigging them with the jighead through the side instead of the top. The bait shimmys and planes higher in the water. They crush this bait!
Names Liam Krill, I defo recommend this product. I have caught 2 15cm bream on them and a 45cm yabby,(which was very tasty) You can catch many crabs on them. They are certainly the best when flathead bustups and chuck the slim swim out! I totally recommend them for flathead bustups
These are so good! At first, I was using them with the small crappie 1/16 oz jig heads with small underspins, and having very good luck. I also really like the Zman 1/8 oz flash bang mini chatter baits, but the tiny soft plastic they come with is junk and made of cheese. I decided to put a 2.5ā slim swimz as a trailer, and now Iāve found my all time favorite lure. I add a drop of super glue, because it doesnāt have a bait keeper. Iāve caught tiny pumpkinseeds and small perch, monster crappie, all the way up to 7 lb bass and big catfish. And they work in salt water too! Iāve caught redfish and speckled trout on this setup too! Itās a true multi-species bait. When used as a trailer on the mini chatter bait, The bait stands straight up in the bottom like a Ned rig, so you can hop the bottom, slow roll it, or crank it faster for mid and sub surface action. I normally donāt use paddle tails with chatter baits because the blade offsets the paddle tail, but these work perfectly together. Iāll never use an in-line spinner again, because this is better in every way. The slim swimz also goes great on the back of small jigs, drop shots, and Ned rigs, and you can replace the beetle on a beetle spin. Iāve only used 3 colors, pearl, baby bass, and watermelon red. They all catch āem
These are the bomb! Every fish that sees this bait, tries to eat it. I like to rub it down with some pro-cure scent (baitfish), and throw it on a 1/8th oz jig head. Add a drop of super glue, and they last forever. Iāve caught 8 different species of fish in a single trip, from 4 foot gar, 5 pound bass, down to the smallest pumpkinseed perch.
