My favorite Foundation! Best match to my skin color . I am light skin with yellow overtones . This foundation ja my favorite for the last 4 years. It’s great for me because I have dry skin, and I always need a foundation that is hydrating as the time. It last my day from morning to afternoon . Doesn’t cake or break. My skin looks flawless after I applied and not need of powder. It’s been very difficult to find my shade color since the pandemic begin. I can find meh color anymore on their website. I hope they came with a new similar formula. Totally recommend it for a dry skin. (The radiance awakening) foundation makes your skin looks so smooth and flawless

I honestly think about this foundation, time to time because this was truly one of my favorite foundations still this date and cannot be is disappointed with YSL for discontinuing this foundation. I know they made a new formula but it just wasn't as good as the original. The new formula was more liquidy and was much more lightweight on the skin but it was missing the magic that the original left on the skin. It was a dry skin favorite and I love the fact that this foundation gives a natural, glowy, and dewy look to the skin. It is buildable, not heavy on the skin, and lasts almost all day without primer.

The finish is perfect for a your skin but better look. Its not overly dewy, but it is definitely a radiant finish. The best way I can describe the finish is right after you put moiturizer on, and your skin is glowy, fresh, and hydrated looking thats how this foundation looks. I used the touche eclat primer, touche eclat high coverage concealer, and hourglass setting powder and didnt have issues with transfer or it breaking up, and I wore it for about 7 hours. I've had this foundation for months but never got around to using it and I wish I had tried it out before! This foundation just gave my combo/dry skin a really beautiful and radiant glow. It's got medium but buildable to full coverage. It doesn't feel heavy on my skin and makes it luminous in a natural way. The luminous foundation that I always would go to be fore was the but I stopped using it because it made me face to oily and greasy looking after a few hours. This foundation doesn't do that! It's also got some SPF in it which not all foundations do so that's one less product I have to put on my face when I'm using this foundation. The quality of the foundation is incredible. It really is a great foundation. I have combination skin, which gets very oily on the T-zone area. I wanted a foundation that was light to medium coverage that looked like real skin. This is exactly what it does. I only have to powder my T-zone and it lasts for about 12+ hours. In the summer, however, it does tend to melt a bit and the rest of my face is super shiny, but that's because it's recently been 30 degrees! In the cooler heat it lasts longer and the shine isn't there. I have noticed that whatever amount of foundation you put on, it will become more opaque. So if you think you have not put enough on, believe the process and throughout the day it will build coverage by itself. This foundation shade is ridiculous to find. They even discontinued it at one point. Now they are scrapping the entire foundation all together. But I really liked it at one point. The finish is great and doesn't diminish much once set with powders. This was my HG luxury foundation its buildable and blends effortlessly.

Tips on how to use // skin types

Purchased this product recently, It is an amazing product when used correctly. On dry skin, this product does stick to the dry patches very easily. I would recommend using an illuminating & hydrating primer / prep cream before use. Allowing the skin to be smother, the dry skin to evaporate a little before using the foundation. Normal skin types this foundation will glide on amazingly when applying. Oily skin types will need a transparent powder to dim the shine in areas not needed, other wise you can use a matte setting powder to get a matte finish. I would recommend using a damp blending sponge. I fount this application gave you the most satisfying finish. I have a story to tell. I received this foundation about a week ago after an exhaustive search for foundation. I had been using Jane Iredale liquid mineral foundation for several years and was never that happy with it and finally determined mineral foundation is not for my aging skin. I will be 63 in less than a month and the years of sun and fun have taken their toll on my skin, plus I have a fairly large dark brown spot on one cheek from a biopsy that I never put sunscreen on since I did not know one was supposed to do that and that spot bothers me a lot. I never had to wear foundation until probably my 40's and now I just put it on my T-Zone, never my entire face. I received a sample, (love getting Nordstrom samples with beauty purchases!). of this foundation but in the Matte coverage and tried it and liked it but didn't want a matte finish. One of the shades seemed to work with my skin tone, though, so I looked at the Le Teint which is supposed to be less coverage but with a soft finish. I spoke with a Nordstrom beauty representative via phone since I live in a rural area and there are not high end department stores close to me, about this foundation and the color and she was wonderful. I can't say enough about the customer service I received. I took the plunge and purchased this along with the Sigma Kiboku brush duo that I also read about in reviews. This foundation works beautifully with my aging skin. I do not use a primer since I think it's a waste of $, why do I want to put another product on my face? I moisturize fully with the Herbivore Botanical Pink Cloud, which by the way, love, and then use the Kiboku brush to layer the foundation and the additional concealer brush around my eyes and nose. I have a small face! I am happy. This foundation does not transfer and seems to last all day though I am not an expert in this and only found out about the "in's and out's " about foundation after watching a bunch of YouTube videos.
