Yves Saint Laurent La Nuit de L'Homme Eau de Parfum 60 ml

I appreciate the bright pop that the grapefruit adds to the opening, which makes it feel more effervescent and adds a playful aspect to a series that can sometimes feel overly serious. I also like the addition of the leather, which adds a mysterious edge that to me is missing from other flankers in the La Nuit de L'Homme line. To me, this is one of the better YSL fragrances. It's pretty versatile during the colder seasons, and smells a little more exciting to me than the typical YSL flanker. It's not mindblowing and I don't love it, and wouldn't choose to wear it over other options. I do like it though, and would compliment someone else if I smelled it on them.

However, as singular as the nose is at first, it warms into a heart of gorgeous lavender (fresh, not dried) that is blended harmoniously with warm citrus (bergamot), which also lifts the scent and giving it a breeze of fresh air. The cedar is not overly used or dusty - on the contrary - this is very rich and damp cedar and very well-integrated. The olfactory pleasure continues into the dry down with a nice fresh vetiver note that is not overly "rooty" or earthy. A slightly sharp, but also clean vetiver that melds with the cedar and lavender with the cardamom carrying through the whole composition. This turns, on my skin (nothing short of amazing) slightly sweet, powdery blend of notes that just seem to breathe on my me! Don't over-apply!

It's the same "style" as that to my nose. Which makes it super generic and boring, but hey if you like this kind of thing you may love this one. This fragrance is mature, sophisticated, and spicy. I do not consider it an 'everyday' scent. I also do not like this scent as I have nothing to wear it with, it's for someone older than I am (31), and it is not appropriate for any settings in my life. I suppose this is something meant to be worn while dressing-up in a business setting and perhaps on a date. To my nose, this is nothing like the original La Nuit. I have no use for this fragrance and it's not good enough for me to try and find a use for it either. 7/10 for quality. 2/10 for usefulness for anyone under age 50.

The smell wont let you down! Great for date nights and has a lasting impression. Longevity-around 4hrs tops. But nonetheless, the smell is great. Soapy powdery scent that'll make you smell fresh.

A subtle and smooth scent for the winter.

A fantastic fragrance that is spicy and smooth. It has a powdery smell with notes of vanilla and some smooth otanicals like violet and iris flowers. It's basenotes have a woody and leathery smell that lingers for a long time.However, the bulk fo this fragrance only lasts for a few hours, about 4-5 hours before you will need to refesh it with a few more sprays, otherwise the woody and leathery basenotes hang around for a time, and can only be discovered if someone is intamately close. So this is a fantastic Date, evening or Winter fragrance. It's spicy opening with an elegant and smooth base is perfect for a night out with your partner or a relaxing scent when out with friends that has a subtle but noticeable result when someone is close enough.

La Nuit de L'Homme Eau de Parfum a good one for winter time ( the Tonka , lavender & leather ) just works in real harmony & not to mention a compliment getter.Smell : 7.5/10Longivity : 8 hours.Sillage : the same as Longivity.

Simple and sensual scent that is versatile for cooler months

Simple scent profile, ok performance for the price. Versatile for office, meetings, formal dinner, date night. Best for air temperature around 25 degree C or cooler, not for hot summer days. 4-6 sprays around side and back of neck is enough for 6 hours or so with soft projection in air-conditioned environment.

This EDP is worth a try!

The opening is similar to the EDT. The Woody base smell is quite different compared to other fragrances I have worn or have smelled. The Woody base makes this much different than to the EDT. I do believe this does last around 6 hours at least on the skin. If you like the EDT, You may like this one but my advice would be to try smelling this before you buy.Overall, it's worth a try and if you like how it smells onm you skin, then i would recommend it.

I have 3 of the YSL La Nuit or L'Homme fragrances and this is by far my favourite. It has fantastic sillage, is not overpowering however at the same time, is instantly recognisable and distinct. It also has tremendous dry down, beginning with what feels and also smells like a warm fire place room on a cold winter night, with just the right amount of spice and kick - to me this is the cardamom, & leather in the top notes combined with the grapefruit. As it dries down the patchouli, sandalwood and vetiver come to the fore and leave an all day, lasting impression however as I said, without being offensive or requiring "overapplying". I found that 3 or 4 sprays after shaving and my wife can still smell it nicely at the end of the day.
