Yamaha - YEV104NT1 Electric Violin

A surprisingly natural sounding electric. Direct output mode is exceptionally rich, crisp, and detailed, perhaps even more so than the SV200. The violin itself doesn't offer any onboard effect. But with a bit of reverb it becomes truly inspirational. I also use mine for silent practice with a VOX amPlug2 AC30 headphone amp which plugs right into the well placed output under the violin, a perfect fit as if they were made for each other. I highly recommend this combo over the plastic and overpriced SV150 for silent practice. The factory setup is also just about perfect, making it fun and easy to play. Higher positions on E and A may be a tad bit low but I got over that after a few hours. As it turns out, the m_bius strip is completely out of view when the violin is held in playing position. But that is to say, if feels and plays much like an acoustic if not a tiny bit heavier. A true wonder in all its simplicity.

I have a 105 and I love it. I enjoy the C string as I began years ago with the viola.The tone is excellent. Been a player for fifty plus years, now my favorite instrument.

This instrument gives you full control and it sounds excellent. The instrument is very light a just over 16ozs and plays very comfortably.
