Don't forget to go with the Xbox Ultimate, to get access to TONS of games, both Series X/S, and older titles.I've seen the competition, and it's sadly lacking in visual quality. Sure, it does 4k, but it seems to struggle at 4k/120hz.Don't wait, if you can find it, get this rig! You'll thank yourself later.

UNFORGIVABLE! 3 games put me over 75% capacity.Furthermore, the Series S seems to be streaming a LOT of its assets. I purchased this to play the Hogwarts Legacy game. And whenever I boot the game, there are visual pixelations all over the screen that I would suspect being the result of a defective product if only it happened in ANY game that isn't "optimized" for Series X and S.Older games like Persona 3, newer games like Disney's Dreamlight Valley, and pixel art games like Vampire Survivors ALL play without any pixelated artifacts. But the first 2 are NOT "XBOX optimized" and the last one has graphics from the SNES era. So despite having downloaded 52GB of graphics files to my new XBOX Series S, it still sems to be checking with the cloud first and foremost. UNFORGIVABLE!!!In fact, the only way to get the pixelated artifacts revoved from the Hogwarts Legacy game is to boot up one of the non-optimized games, and play it for a while. Then to go and play Hogwarts. Then, over time, and through loading screens, they will eventually disappear. Almost like every loading screen rebuffers whatever is happening through the cloud and the optimization process. And over 30 or so minutes, it eventually gets things right.I'm under no illusion that the Series X would consult the cloud just as frequently, but its faster chipset would HOPEFULLY make the issues non-existent, or at least less severe for less time.I've spent the last couple years gaming on PC, but I don't buy enough PC games to justify a $1200 GPU upgrade, so the Series S seemed like it might just fit the bill. Unfortunately, it is a purchase that I regretted almost immediately. From its ridiculous SSD size, to its cloud integration/buffering issues I can't truly recommend ANYONE buy this.If you are a big time gamer, then the PC is probably where you should look. If the prices of GPU's make that unreasonable or impossible then the choice becomes between Microsoft's more customer friendly ecosystem with the XBOX SERIES X, or SONY's terribly consumer unfriendly practices with the PS5.Regardless of which you choose: AVOID THIS CONSOLE, THE XBOX SERIES S, LIKE THE PLAGUE!!!

This console is what they say it is and more! The graphics on this console from games that are optimized or made for the Series X is above par and well worth its weight in Gold! The speed of it is like they bottled of The Flash and put him to work inside! The lock isn't as sleek as the PS5's air purifier look but with a good Skin it turns out to be an awesome addition to my entertainment center. Here is the breakdown! Graphics: If you are moving from the original xbox or xbox one to the series x you will notice a huge difference in graphics even on a TV that isn't built for 4K viewing. If you are moving from the One X to the Series X you will notice some changes only to the games that are built or Optimized for the Series X but all games feel better with the speed ... MoreThis console is what they say it is and more! If you are moving from the One X to the Series X you will notice some changes only to the games that are built or Optimized for the Series X but all games feel better with the speed you gain. Overall the Series X is on par to compete with most gaming PC's that are currently out there and once developers start taking advantage of everything the Series X has to offer I will be surprise if it doesn't beats some gaming PC's on the market today. Right now I give the graphics 4.8 out of 5 stars but will probably be 5 stars within a year.' Speed: Only gaming PC's that have the new PCI4.0 SSD's are as fast loading as the Series X with its games. To have a game load within 15 seconds that normally would take 60s or more on other gen xbox's is beautiful!! And that isn't even talking about the games that support the awesome "quick resume" feature. This feature is something that you don't know you wanted till you start using it!! The quick resume alone is a selling point for Microsoft and their Series X/S consoles. Speed is beautiful in a world that is always moving. I would give the speed a 5 out of 5 star!! If they can learn to make the loading times even faster then boy are we in for some great experiences in the future! Games: This is where, as of now, I have to say I wish there was more to offer! Game Pass alone is awesome for those who are new to xbox. They will have 100's of games available the day they turn on their console that they could experience for the 1st time and that is by far better than any gaming console on the market today. However, if you are looking for exclusive games that are new look great and feels great then there currently isn't much being offered by Microsoft. With their dozens of gaming studios they purchased over the past 5 or so years lets hope that is about to change and come E3 2021 we finally get a list of games that will make anyone want to go out and buy a Series X!!

Great console, cheeky upsell
12 March 2023

The Xbox Series X is great. 4K gaming looks fantastic, performs great and loads fast.I bought this to upgrade from a Series S, which is a worthwhile upgrade if you have a 4K tv/ monitor. The extra storage is great too. Load times and boot time are the same/very similar. Series is still a great budget option. The fact that Microsoft only sell the bundle with a digital download for $100 above the base console is very cheeky. Especially because most people who have and Xbox X/S will have Gamepass, which includes Forza. The game needs to be downloaded too, and does NOT come ready to play out of the box.Console is 5/5, forced upsell brings this bundle down to 4/5.

Great next gen console without disc, good option.
27 February 2023

The new Xbox, what’s not to like? I upgraded from an Xbox One X which is nearly 10 years old. This is much faster at loading games than the prior models and even though it’s digital only, I didn’t buy many Xbox games on disc before. I use gamepass (monthly subscription) for Xbox live a ton of games to play. Just download them. The 512GB is a little small, but you can use external drives to store games on or buy the expansion cards to add more “internal” storage, but it’s pricier. Also the console itself is much smaller and portable than I was expecting. Which is convenient since I’ll be traveling with it a little bit now.All in all, glad I made the upgrade. If having a disc based console is important, get the Series X.

It's like having an Xbox One with a supercharged upgrade

I own a PS5 and I am terribly happy with it, yet I feel it was worth getting an Xbox Series X as well. The Series X is a more powerful machine, and also the Gamepass service makes it doubly worth getting (there are a lot of games on GamePass that are not on PS Plus and vice versa). I like how all my saves were kept in my Microsoft account in the cloud so I could seamlessly transition from playing my Xbox One games on my Xbox 1 X to playing it on this platform. Xbox Series X does Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos sound as well, so it takes advantage of my home theater's full potential. Lastly, I sold my Xbox Series S to upgrade to this one. I don't miss it at all. I don't miss it at all. If you are in a dilemma about whether to get the Series S now or save up to buy a Series X, don't make the mistake I did. Get the Series X! The Series S won't play your Xbox One games as it is all-digital, and that infuriated me, owning so many XBox One game already. If you already have an Xbox One, and a library of games, then you already have a library set for this console, and they will play better in all cases, and even considerably better if it says "Optimized for Series X" on the back of your disc case. I also want to note that there are many Xbox 360 and original Xbox games that you can play on this machine (theydon't cover all of them, but a lot). I was impressed that I could play HAWX for Xbox 360 and it not only played a little more smoothly, but also I could use my Xbox One/ Series S flight controller. At $500.00 it does seem pricey at first, but I look at it this way-- my $1000.00 gaming pc is not even capable of playing some graphics-intensive games like Elden Ring, and this console is. And it plays a lot of the games I play on pc noticeably better. And on that note, if you get gamepass for pc and console and download a pc game, in some cases if there is a corresponding Series X version of it, you can alternate between the two on the same game save. Oh, wow. The only reason I might persuade someone against buying this first, or buying instead of a PS5 is if you like the Sony Exclusive games like Spider-Man, Horizon Forbidden West, and the Uncharted series. Then definitely get a PS5 first (or instead) unless your passion in life is to play Halo 12 when it comes out.

It's more like a downgraded box not an upgrade.
10 June 2022

X Box is one of the most, if not THE most popular console out there. With this, MS rode a tidal wave of hype to their next unit, the X series. Unfortunately it seems that was all hype and huff as there are not a lot of upgrades that make this box so wonderful. If anything one would call the changes DOWNgrades. For starters, there is no interface for virtual anything, and it appears MS is not going to add any, anytime soon. Another very disappointing item is they took the sPdif out of the box !! The old X box had digital - optical sound, which is far superior to conventional sound IMO as it does not pick up ANY processor noises or other static / hiss etc. The X version does not have sPdif out, so now you have to go and buy a 20 dollar splitter to split it out of the ... MoreX Box is one of the most, if not THE most popular console out there. Why would anyone decide to eliminate that? NOT COOL !! Yes you could just route the sound thru the hdmi cable but for those who have projectors and surround amps separately, this becomes a big deal. It was fairly easy to set up and play however those two items right there make it NOT worth all the hype and huge dollars you are paying for it. especially removing the digital sound !! They cut corners, raised the price and hyped it to the moon. Im surprised they didn't offer a free copy of Microsoft Windows ME version with it :( Overall not very happy. Is it playable yes, but very disappointing.

Next gen big let down
18 March 2023

Was a playstation player . During the pandemic I wanted a next gen but couldn't buy a PS5 so I switched to a series s . Bought the series x a the next logical upgrade . And while the machine did what it was supposed to do I have this to say . 1st it was targeted as 4k 60 hertz but it struggles with rendering sharp frames even at 60 hertz there's a lot of back round blurriness in most games . 2nd Xbox network is horrible regardless of what console you own if you play fps .... Just don't buy Xbox for that your gonna lag . 3rd the series s for it's cost is an decent machine don't waste the extra 300 on the x there really is no difference unless you can about 4 k and no serious gamer is using all that anyways .burn ur eyes out that way. Solid Bundle
31 January 2023

So far I’m loving the Xbox Series X! I’ve only had it for a short time however I just love how compact and powerful this guy is. I’m a big pc player however sometimes I just wanna kick and lay back and play on console instead of being at my desk grinding on my pc. The series X is a solid choice if your looking to play games in 4K high fidelity and want a really good gaming experience. The bundle includes forza premium edition which values at $129.99 regular price for that premium game bundle. For the extra $59.99 for the bundle it’s easily worth it if you enjoy racing games. I do find it crazy how consoles are priced so high nowadays, I miss when they were only $300/400. That’s really the only con/downside to the bundle. Game pass is another amazing feature with Xbox and I think that’s what made me more intrigued purchasing this bundle. The wide catalog and variety of games makes it sweet as you don’t necessarily have to drop hundreds of more dollars on games after buying the console bundle. With all being said this a solid pickup, if your not so interested in the 4K gaming then I’d just go for the Series S because that is another solid console as well!

Works Great
24 March 2023

This was a Christmas gift for my son as it was on sale and for a great deal so I couldn't pass it up. It's now almost April and so far it is still working fine and without any issues with the console or the controller. It was recommended to me to get rechargeable batteries for the controller since of course it's a wireless controller and has batteries. So far that has been working great as the batteries it comes with, aren't rechargeable and only lasted about a month. I love the size as it's easy to put up anywhere and easy to transport. I knew it was the digital-only version (and clearly states so) which is the version I wanted since discs take up space to store and I was planning on getting Game Pass anyways instead of buying a bunch of games right away. We are loving it. The only improvement I would have preferred was there to be two controllers instead of one, but it wasn't hard to find a 2nd controller so that wasn't much of an issue at all.
