I discovered the ultimate riding jean almost 2 years ago when I found some of the black WRQ20 Ultimate Riding jeans. Now that I needed to replace some of my older jeans, I went with the Willow and 10WRQ20 (Q-Baby) for a change in style, and I am not disappointed. I am 5' 10" so finding jeans that don't ride up while I work/ride in can be hard to come by but being able to find the 36" & 38" inseam length is what sold me on the Ultimate Riding jeans. I do prefer the Willow Jean over the Q-Baby as the waist height is a little higher, but overall they are pretty similar.

Great quality jeans regarding material but quit short changing us tall girls on the inseam! These are supposed to be 38" inseam and they probably measured 34-35. So over it. Used to be able to trust Wrangler to give us the longer inseams but not anymore. Disappointing. I sent both pairs back. However I would recommend to any of my regular height or short friends.

I have been riding in these same Q-baby Dark Dynasty jeans for well over ten years. They've always been ideal--comfortable, flexible and long lasting. Unfortunately, the fabric has been changed to eliminate the polyester ingredient, which makes them stiff and uncomfortable to ride in. Very disappointing. I no longer consider them the "ultimate riding jean" and will not be ordering this style again.

This was my first time buying Wrangler women's jeans. I ordered a couple pair of Q-Baby and a pair of Willow. I have always worn men's jeans, but they're just too big on me now and I can't find ones. I'm 5' 3" tall, 103 lbs, waist is 26", hips 33", thigh 17", and 32" inseam. I checked the size chart, and decided to order in size 1, 32" length. In the Q-Baby I bought Boot Scootin and Tuff Buck. The Q-Baby jeans fit quite well. For me, the Willow fit just a smidge better with a slightly higher pitch in the back and contoured my waist better. Wearing Willow I don't need to pull the jeans up in the back after I bend over or squat. Little tug needed with Q-Baby. Wearing Willow I don't need to pull the jeans up in the back after I bend over or squat. Little tug needed with Q-Baby. The Q-Baby in Boot Scootin are more stretchy and softer than the Tuff Buck - the differences in fabric composition. The Willow color Maggie is even softer. Even though the Willow jeans slightly edged ahead of Q-Baby, these are great jeans and I'll definitely wear them. I love that they're made with heavier weight fabric than a lot of other manufacturers use.
There are only two downsides to ordering this jean online. One is that he advertised sizing is incorrect. The jeans come two sizes, like 7/8, 9/10. But they are not advertised that way, which affected my ordering decision and resulted in returning them for a different size. Hastle that could have been avoided with correct size information on website. The second issue is in not knowing the material of the jean. I thought they would be like another pair of QBabys that I have, but they were not. Still a good jean that fits great, just not sturdy, strong material that will withstand hard country work.
I love Wranglers and have been wearing the Q-Baby jeans for quite a few years. I recently ordered two more pairs, both a size 5, 30" inseam but in different colors. The Boot Scootin' jeans have a shorter inseam than the Tuff Bucks, despite being labeled as the same size. That inconsistency in sizing is the only reason for a four-star review. The shorter jeans will work for me, but they're not ideal for riding as I don't like the cuffs to pull up past my ankle. I should note also that I first ordered 32" inseam, same as the Wranglers I already have and those were way too long. So the Tuff Buck 30" fits like a 32" from a couple years ago...thankful it was so easy to exchange the two pairs of 32" and get the right size since the sizing is a little wacky!
I have worn Wrangler Jeans for 40 years for work and leisure, farm work, cattle and horses. I usually purchase 3 pairs at a time as the older jeans begin to fade. As the styles changed, the Q Baby jean seemed to fit me the best so I have been wearing that style for about 8 years. The last 3 pair I purchased were in Tuff Buck. I always order a 3/32 but the Tuff Buck fabric was tight from the beginning. All at once, the fabric of these 3 pairs of jeans begin to rip and separate in the same place, on the right side of the zipper at the crotch. I have never had to throw away and replace 3 pairs of jeans at the same time. The Tuff Buck fabric is defective and will disintegrate. I have never had to throw away and replace 3 pairs of jeans at the same time. The Tuff Buck fabric is defective and will disintegrate. The beauty of blue jeans is they are supposed to be timeless and the older they get, the more comfortable they get. Tuff Buck will not grow soft and more comfortable. They won't last that long. The quality of denim is not what it used to be. Adding stretch to jeans may make them more comfortable, but synthetics don't breathe and they are too hot to wear when the weather changes.
I've been riding and working in these jeans for over a decade, so thought I should leave a review. I wear these out until the holes around the seat just get too much for patching (takes a LOT of wear/riding to get to this point). I've also worked construction jobs and do ranch/farm work in these. As a 6'2" woman, I so appreciate wrangler being HEIGHT INCLUSIVE in their jeans. Thank you for that 38" inseam!!! I will say since they're mostly cotton, not tons of stretch - which I like/think is important in a work jean, just fyi to perhaps order up a size because of this.
Within the last year and a half, these went from being my all time favorite jeans to my least favorite. I bought 6 pair three years ago and they worked, worn hard, and held up. I had a baby and had to size up and bought 6 new pair. They didn't last 4-5 months. The pockets, belt loops, seams at the waist and sides are just falling apart. I went back to work and only even wore these on the weekends. I'm so disappointed in the drop in quality. Won't ever buy again. I also bought a pair of the retros, the crotch was out of them in 4 wears and they stretch out terrible when you wear them. What happened to the wrangler brand?
I have bought 2 pairs of the jeans. I LOVE the way they feel and fit. I have only worn the one pair maybe 5 times and the other pair twice and they just fall apart. when I wear them I have only worn them for trips to town. Not for working or riding so they are not being used hard, and I only use cold water to wash. Every time I take them out of the wash there is a new hole. Both back pockets on the more worn pair I have had to sew the corners, and now there are 2 holes along the waste band and the corners I have not sewn on the back pockets are now ripping too. The other pair after the second time I wore and washed them the pockets are ripping on the corners. My husband asked if they were water soluble.
