Fragrant sweet and sour base. This white balsamic was lighter and sweet/sour compared to the standard balsamic from Modena. We love balsamic, so we were eager to try this one. We used it as a salad base dressing with virgin olive oil and Italian herbs from the garden. This was a lovely refreshing combination and we really enjoyed the different levels of taste, a fragrant sweet and sour condiment, with the ingredients all working well together. We also used it as a base for a chicken marinade, which was a hit. The added bonus of being delivered in a glass bottle was great. The downside is the presence of sulphites for those with intolerances. A great product, that makes us a little guilty it came all the way from Italy, which impacts our carbon emissions... Enjoyed on Salads and chips. Firstly thank you for the opportunity to try the Woolworths Vinegar Balsamic White 250ml. We had steak and salad for dinner last night and we quite enjoyed this mixed in with our salad. I had cooked up some chips to go with our meal and I really enjoyed the vinegar taste on them. This morning I chopped tomatoes, diced red onion, garlic, parsley and basil and mixed in a few tablespoons of the vinegar (it was a bit tart so I added a teaspoon of sugar and mixed in ) and will have this later on with some crusty bread when we watch the V8s. Yes I know this isnt the right mix for brushetta but its good to think outside the box and perhaps try other alternatives like this one, IMO. $3 a bottle, yes I would purchase this again. A light-ish vinegar for salad dressing. Let's start with what this product actually isn't. It's not white balsamic vinegar. It's a combo of wine vinegar, sugar from grapes and some real white balsamic vinegar. The bottle does state it's a condiment but the product title on the web page states "Woolworths Vinegar Balsamic White". This is borderline usage of weasel words, and I am not a fan of such marketing games. Now as long as you know what you are getting (or not), this product works quite well. In terms of flavour it sits (as it should) somewhere between harsher white/pale vinegars and the much sweeter balsamic varieties. If you're the type of person that is heavy-handed with vinegar when making a freeform salad dressing, you might appreciate having this in your ... MoreA light-ish vinegar for salad dressing. While the actual product is fine, it's just not something I want to give pantry real estate to. I already have 4-5 staple vinegars.

Delicate Flavour. I wasn't sure I had the right product as the the label describes it as as White condiment with Balsamic Vinegar until I checked the picture I had of my sample. It was quite easy to find on the shelf and I like the nice shape and size of the bottle meaning it fits in the pantry without taking up too much room. It has a nice delicate aroma and is not quite as overpowering as a lot of balsamic vinegars I have used in the past. It has a nice fruity but tart flavour which means that it blends well with whatever you want to use it with as it is just a light accompanient. I loved it as a dressing over a salad and you don't need to use a lot to gain the flavour. It is also a great addition if you like a touch of vinegar on your fish and chips. It makes a nice addition to many marinades and sauces including a sweet and sour. My Everyday perk this month was some Brie and I have a recipe for a Baked Double Brie which includes Balsamic Vinegar and I found this one added that little special touch. It is a product of Italy and is made traditional Italian from the finest Italian grapes. It comes with a long expiry date and the bottle is recyclable. It is great value for money and I will be keeping it in my pantry.
Something new to add to dishes! To be honest Id never noticed this product before. I found the name ‘White Condiment’ a surprise - I probably would not have been sure what it was if I had spotted it before now. As it is a small size the value for money is not as high as large sized bottles. I made up a Mediterranean salad and a salad dressing using this product. As it is an Italian product I anticipated this pairing would be best. The family enjoyed the salad but noone commented on the dressing in particular. To be fair, there was a mix of flavours so this may not have been distinctive enough from regular white vinegar to raise commentary. Will continue to use in different ways. At this stage, no objections to the product!
A nice touch for homemade dressings/marinades etc. Well it took visits to three different stores before I was successful finding this product. The first two stores had no stock whatsoever and could not tell me when it would be re-stocked. From the look of this bottle and the size, one assumes it is a more pricey vinegar than the standard one…and that is correct. I used this in a salad dressing with the usual ingredients - EVOO, lemon juice and vinegar to compliment a greek salad. I didn’t want to disguise the taste too much as I had this review to undertake. The vinegar definitely worked well within the dressing and the salad ingredients. It is light, a touch less acidic than regular vinegar and a touch sweeter. Lighter flavour than regular balsamic. I had never heard of this before and was pleasantly surprised when I actually tried it. I did have some difficulty finding on the shelf but that was because I was looking for a label clearly stating "balsamic: instead of "white condiment". It is in a glass bottle, instead of plastic, which is great. I wasn't sure how I would use it, but went ahead and mixed with some olive oil and drizzled over a caprese salad. I also used on its own as a dressing on a tossed salad. It doesn't have quite as strong a flavour as the darker balsamic but I found it still quite tasty. Its a lighter fruitier flavour, a cross between sweet and tart, so is great for summer salads. This will definitely be a regular item in my pantry. Thank you for the opportunity to give this a try Bunch.
