Good. I usually make my own chips in the airfryer but will occasionally buy a frozen bag for easy midweek dinner. We're a large family, so I wouldn't usually purchase 750g. I know the pack says 7. 5 portions, but that's seriously small portions. Sample was nice & tasty cooked in airfryer. Aussie sourced produce & nice story on the packet. Unnecessary Caution... "Product will be hot after cooking. " Does that need to be on there? Also need to note the "Do not refrigerate or reheat once cooked. " which isn't always easy with a large family. I'd prefer a "reheat thoroughly before eating" caution rather than these condescending ones, but someone must have thought they were a good idea!

Beery good. Normally I don't buy premade chips as we have a small freezer but as its a sample, yes please. This was $2. 70 and as its not something I normally buy I am not sure if its a bargain or not. But still cheaper than getting chips at the takeaway shop. However in the current state of Victoria we are all home bound so it's nice to have some nice hot chips. So easy to do just heat up the oven and put them in and go and cook up the sides (we had ham steaks and pineapple) while they are baking. Best part is they are 99% Australian grown and mostly owned. I did like how on the side they featured a potato farmer to give that feel good factor that you are helping out our Aussie farmers. No artificial preservatives or additives which gives me a huge sigh of relief. ... MoreBeery good. Normally I don't buy premade chips as we have a small freezer but as its a sample, yes please. We had some left over sour cream from making chilli con carne the night before so we had these chips with sour cream and sweet chilli sauce and they were just delicious. Didn't notice any beer flavour in the batter only just yummy altogether. While we are housebound might be buying these more often.
Great crunch. I cooked these in the oven for the recommended time. They were very crispy on the outside and still fluffy on the inside. They just tasted like a hot chip. I don’t know if they should taste any different having a beer batter. I know of people using beer batter on fish for a lighter batter. If this is the same reason for the beer batter on these chips - then it worked. There was certainly no thick batter surrounding the potato chip. I haven’t cooked any other brand beer battered chips so have nothing to compare these with. They tasted delicious with the addition of salt. I’m not big on adding salt to food – but it’s a must for me on hot chips and tomatoes. I would buy these again.
Exceptionally good chips. These chips are really good, I was super surprised just how good they were. Tasty and firm, low in saturated fat, with lots of lovely fat chips (which I love) in the packet and small ones too if that is your preference. Just perfect for a easy weekend lunch of fish and chips, with a lovely side salad, or without if you just love fish and chipsAt a great price of $2. 70 for a 750g size bag, quick to heat up in the oven (or air fryer), straight out of the freezer and already to serve up at about 25 minutes, what more could you ask for??. Just giving you enough time to put together a salad while your fish and chips are cooking. This product was easy to rate as a five Thanks Woolworths and the Bunch for an exceptional product, I will be purchasing these again and again.
Frozen chips. I had to hunt around for a bit to find these in the freezer section. There is a steakhouse chip in a similar colour bag that I mistook for these. And it was only when I went up and down the aisle twice that I spotted these at the bottom of the freezer. I liked that the back of the packet showed where locally the potatoes were grown. The directions were very clear and easy to follow. I just placed them on a tray covered in baking paper and put them in a hot oven. I did find that the chips did take a bit longer than recommended to cook to a browned crunchy texture. I was the only one in my family that noticed a slight after taste of beer when eating the chips. I found them a great side to add to our sausages and veg for something different and would use them again as a quick easy side for tea. Or as a fakeaway option.
Great flavour and crunch. In one word, these chips were delicious. I cooked them in the oven as per the directions on the back of the pack, and they came out perfectly. Nice and crunchy on the outside, but still soft on the inside. They were a good size too. The flavour was also great. Not too strong - which means my little one who finds everything with even the slightest amount of flavour 'too spicy' - but still enough flavour that the rest of the family enjoyed them. We enjoyed the chips alongside chicken schnitzel and tri-vegies, and they really were the perfect side. A little bit of sour cream, and voila, dinner done! The whole bag will probably see us through two meals for a family of four, so good value all around. I would certainly purchase these chips again.
Delicious! We do like our chips and steak fries in this house - our air fryer gets used most days. These were great - the flavour was excellent. I agree that perhaps they do not have as much coating as other brands, but I don't mind that, as I am buying it for the chip, not half its weight in coating!Weight is actually one of my issues with these chips. How about a 1kg bag? I know that all the brands do this with their 'premium' chips, only giving a 750g bag, but it actually makes meal planning a little awkward in our house. We usually buy the WW 1kg bags of chips, and one bag does two meals (so 500g per meal). With a 750g bag, it gets a little awkward - do you buy two bags to work out the weight, or do you eat more than you typically would in one meal?Anyway, I ... MoreDelicious! Surprisingly great cheaper alternative. The Beer Battered variety was a little tricky to locate, three of our local Woolworths didn't stock the product. We found it at a larger supermarket where there were more options. Initially we bought the plain steakhouse chips before realising we had bought the wrong one, the packaging is very similar in colour (beer batter is redder). The packaging illustrates that it is a great Aussie product, 99% Australian ingredients. No artificial colours or flavours and a health start rating of 4. How great that there is a photo of the farmers on the packaging, Mark and Daniel, that help produce the potatoes used for this product.
