I was first drawn to this because I was looking for a thin zip-up. I work outdoors for my job and have learned how important layers are. This jacket arrived and exceeded my expectations. It is thin, warm, the hood covers around my forehead and chin, and it has thumb loops (the "and it has pockets!" of outdoor winter gear for me!). And, as if it couldn't get any better, the color is beautiful! Ah, thank you, I love it!

LOVE! I am 5'9 137lbs, I ordered a small and it fits perfectly! I struggle to find tops that are long enough at the waist and the sleeves, this fits! I work as an RN and can comfortably wear this over my scrub top & long sleeve undershirt without a problem. Its light weight but keeps me warm on chilly/windy days. Several washes/dries and no piling or fading!

I got this as a layer for hiking and it is perfect. The full zip makes it easy for me to regulate my internal temperature without necessarily needing to stop to take the garment off. It is super lightweight and holds heat in well. I also tend to have issues with full-zip jackets because I have a shorter torso, so the lower band can be too tight. The cut on this is much more forgiving for different body types.
For reference, I am 5'10 and 160 lb, and my intention for this piece was to use it as a mid layer for skiing. I ordered a large and it was roomy but I wanted to be able to fit another layer underneath. I felt I was perhaps between sizes but chose to keep the large. The quality is excellent! I word out skiing and found the moisture wicking worked well and it kept me warm and dry. It's very thin, so don't expect any bulk from it. Of you want a cozy sweater, this isn't it, but it's a performance piece.
I ordered this item because I thought it was going to be a nice warm, soft fleecy hoodie as the name FUTUREFLEECE implies. It is not. It is super thin and lightweight. I think a t-shirt would be warmer. This may be an awesome item if you know what you are getting and what it's intended use is, but if you are looking for something warm, this is not it. Beautiful colour though!

But, the inside is fleecy, with vent square spaces between the fleece square pattern - I heat up fast when I'm working hard and I was amazed at the heat/cool regulation this pattern was able to provide. The big test I put the jacket through was trekking in Patagonia. Some days were cool and wet, some windy, and some warm. On the cool days all I needed was a base layer and this sweater. Sometimes adding my TNF Resolve jacket for rain or super windy times. I never needed my heavy warm layers. Everything about this brandis perfect!!I have been buying rom them for years and have never bought inferior product.Their design is brilliant and the quality of their fabrics are brilliant especially the fleece.I know i'll be their forever customer because they have NEVER changed being a quality brand.
At first I was disappointed with the material and the zipper looked too delicate. However once I wore it, it is so light but keeps you warm …. And the fact that the material is so thin and this warm, is truly future fleece material! Glad I kept it and I am loving it now!
Great, lose fit. I have a long torso and I love the length (fits over my butt). It's not the type of "fleece" I imagined it would be when I read the description. It is a pretty thin material, but I like it! But it will be a great outer layer on cool spring or fall mornings. I love the bright pink color.
