It is nearly everything I could ask for. I'm a year-round buff/snood/neck gaiter wearer. The main problems with these products is: 1.they all sink down onto your collar bones which makes them half-effective in giving coverage from the sun/cold. I like the way this product has smaller sizes, so I had the option of buying a better fit that didn't sink down so far. Still, I'd like a button on a bit of elastic that could be inserted into loop to make the buff fit even more snugly around my neck for better sun protection.2. Buffs rarely have a design the covers the collar bones/upper decolletage of v-neck, crew-neck and button-up shirts. This Solbari neck gaiter gave me *perfect* coverage down into my collar. An improvement on a common gaiter.

It is actually quite terrific. I have several gaiters of differing thickness and quality. The one with the highest UPF is almost impossible to breathe through due to the thick polyester fabric. This gaiter is extremely breathable and it allows me to use it while I run, which I can't do with my other gaiters bar my thinnest one with really offers no sun protection. I also like that it is curved to help cover more neck, which is really essential and a problem I had with my previous gaiters. The only negative is that it is a bit shorter than I would like. That mentioned extra neck protection fails a little when I pull up the gaiter any higher than my ears, making my neck become exposed when I tilt my head down. I like to keep my cap in place by putting my gaiter quite high back on my head, and that isn't possible with this to the same extent unfortunately. When running or moving a lot, it keeps pulled up just above the ears it has a tendency to slide down. This would be a perfect gaiter if it had a few extra cm to it, maybe around 5 or perhaps more. I've been able to make it work with some effort, but it is a bit niggly as it is just slightly too short. That said I don't want to detract from how good this gaiter is. It is the best one I've tried by far, and I heartily recommend it.

Comes too far under the chin exposing part of the neck

I have to say very disappointed in how this hangs down exposing at least 1/3 of my neck (from other my chin). I bought this to help protect my aging neck. What good is it if it doesn't fit at least snuggly to under the chin (where the neck starts)?? I spoke with a number of customer service reps before ordering this. They assured me they were making them differently to fit snugger. I knew I was taking a chance cuz not returnable, but trusted the reps. Sadly, they were incorrect. I could sew a snap on it to be able to pull it tighter & stay up better, but wow, really for that price...over $40 including tax for a small amount of material. Love the hat I bought, but you guys need to do better on the gaiter.

Doesn't cover all of my neck...Too expensive for not doing what they say it should do.
5 June 2024

I spent a lot of time talking with customer service before purchasing this gaiter. The most important thing was that it needed to cover my aging neck completely. I referred the rep(s) to a picture of someone else who was not really happy because it didn't cover a lot of her neck. I was told they are making these different in the last year, so should cover my entire neck. I knew it was NOT returnable, but went with what I was told. As you can see by the picture, part of my neck is showing. I would feel like I had to wear sunscreen because of this and grease up the gaiter in the process. SIGH. For what they charge $39 plus shipping, I would think they could make these where they fit smaller necks. Disappointed. Easy, convenient and comfortable to wear.
28 November 2023

Easy to pop on at beginning of outside activity and not worry about updating neck or face sunscreen throughout the day. My skin is generally sensitive and being able to avoid sunscreen is a big advantage. We live on a boat for approx 6 months of the year so need to be very sun conscious. The gaiter along with other items from Solbari are convenient and comfortable. Skin doctor and beautician give thumbs up also.

Extremely disappointed in Solbari’s policy but gaiters faultless

Interesting how you are only looking for feedback on your gaiter. Your gaiters are fantastic, would highly recommend AND they are an even better design. But, the ā€˜elephant in the room’ was the "Ultimate Wide Brim Sun Hat with Face Protection UPF50+ (Legionnaire Style)ā€. Sadly I did not read the disclaimer that there are NO returns for hats and even though I contacted Customer Service within minutes of the order arriving, I was told a definite no to return. Why did I want to return it?? Because even though it says ’S/M’ it was still too big for my head. Alas I have to keep it - being able to pull the cord to tighten it around the head does help, but sadly I’ll hesitate to purchase again from Solbari, even though they’re neck gaiters are awesome - wish I had bought ...Ā MoreInteresting how you are only looking for feedback on your gaiter. I would happily have done an even exchange for 6 gaiters in different colours. Clearly, Solbari have had their fingers burnt with returns for non legit reasons, so this is the life of online shopping.

Falls down on neck
7 July 2024

I questioned numerous reps over at Solbari before ordering. Yet, to no avail. This is a lot of money, and not returnable. It slips down to half of my neck showing. I bought this to protect my neck from aging/skin cancer. Doesn't stay up. Waste of money and can't return. They really should make these with either buttons, velcro or snaps on the back of it so you can raise up & make tighter.

I have already had 2 garters prior to my latest purchase. You can hardly notice them on. Silky smooth. I am going to tack 2 together to see if they still breathe all right when I'm walking on the beach. I would prefer if they were double thickness but unsure from structural perspective if that is doable. My last 2 pairs I have got over 12 months solid use from. However after skin overexposure issues surfacing 2023 from 50 years os surfing and motorbike riding in Queensland & Indonesia I am covering fanatically now. So I'm only getting a little exposure around the sides of my eyes. But I have now switched to 2 fabric balaclavas and the head cover and wearing eco natural sunscreen around my eyes/nose/chin/lips. I think that is really effective for a 300 km ride through the high UV part of the day. The bamboo garters do tend to lose their efficacy more rapidly if you wear them during sweaty more physical outdoor activity (for example jogging). First Class Products. Progressive.

Great sun protection
25 August 2024

brilliant neck cover. I am using it after neck surgery and i was told to protect my neck from the sun. I was worried this would make me feel hot, it doesn’t, it’s actually quite cooling. So it protects my neck, it’s cooling if anything and very soft, and it also comes in a resealable pouch so you can pop it in your bag and take it on and off as required. Perfect.

When diagnosed with photo sensitivity I spent a long time searching for the best company to provide me with the best and most comfortable coverage from the sun.I read hundreds of reviews on the range of products in a number of companies. Solbari kept shining through as the company of choice.I duly placed a number of orders over the last few months and guess what! Everything I ordered has been top quality. The clothing is well made and also feels soft to wear on sensitive skin. I wear these clothes whenever I leave the house and feel well protected.I’m so pleased I found you Solbari. Thank you so very much.
