The Victron SmartShunt 2000A is an all-in-one battery monitor that works without its own display, using your phone as the screen instead. It connects over built-in Bluetooth to the VictronConnect app on a phone or tablet, letting you read out state of charge, time to go, historical information and more, and it can alternatively be read by a GX device via a VE.Direct cable. This version is built for IP65 chargers, and the SmartShunt makes a tidy alternative to a BMV battery monitor for systems that need monitoring with less wiring and clutter. Alongside its VE.Direct port, a spare connection can be used for monitoring a second battery, midpoint monitoring or a temperature sensor. It accepts a supply voltage range of 6.5 to 70 V DC, draws less than 1 mA and handles battery capacities from 1 to 9999 Ah across an operating temperature range of -40 to +50 degrees C. Measurement resolution is fine, at plus or minus 0.01 A for current and plus or minus 0.01 V for voltage, with state of charge accurate to plus or minus 0.1 percent and current measurement to plus or minus 0.4 percent. Suitable applications include marine, RVs, motorhomes, 4WDs, motor vehicles and off-grid systems.
