The Victron Blue Smart IP67 Charger 12/25 is a professional 25 A battery charger for 12 V systems, built for the workshop and for motor vehicles such as classic cars, motorbikes, boats and camper vans. It suits AGM, gel, flooded and lithium (LiFePO4) batteries, and cabling with quick-fit connectors is included. Built-in Bluetooth lets you monitor voltage and current, change settings and update the charger from a phone, tablet or laptop through the VictronConnect app. A recovery function will attempt to revive a fully discharged battery with low current, resuming normal charging once sufficient voltage develops across the terminals. The unit is completely encapsulated, with a cast-aluminium casing and electronics moulded in resin, making it waterproof, shockproof and ignition protected against water, oil and dirt. Efficiency of 92 per cent or better means far less wasted heat, and once the battery is full, consumption drops to less than a watt. The adaptive charge algorithm steps through bulk, absorption, recondition, float and storage, and a storage mode lowers float voltage to 13.2 V for a 12 V battery to reduce gassing and corrosion when the battery is idle.
